I was looking for a draft pick value graphic and couldn't find a good one so I took information from PuckPedia's pick value calculator and made a visual for it!

Hopefully this will come in handy leading up to the draft!

Shoutout to Matt Perri and PuckPedia for all the research and data, I just put it into a nice chart 🙂

  1. this is a great graphic. very well presented.

draft pick value is tough because player quality changes so much draft to draft.

i feel like i dont agree with puckpedia’s weightings tho. personally, I would rather have a 1st overall than 2 5th overalls, maybe even 2 4th overalls. but that might just be my bias as a flames fan never picking higher than 4th.

  2. I almost feel like pick #33 is more valuable than pick #32 at this point.

You can have a full rest to analyze the draft and you can make a more thoughtful decision about the first one day 2, without being on the clock.
