Hey, William. How’s it going? How you doing? Nice to meet you, man. Thank you. Nice to meet you. While I’ve got you here, first of all, where are we? We’re in the Ice Hawk Academy in Yeah, it’s like 15 20 minutes outside of Stockholm in Haninga. So, that’s where we are. Twin rink facility. Yeah. I’ve not seen something like this in in Stockholm. This is pretty sick. It’s new. Yeah, it’s it’s going to be sick. While I’ve got you here, do you mind if I fire some questions at you? Of course. Fantastic. Thank you so much. First question is your jersey number. My jersey number? Where does it come from? Why? Uh it just something I got when I you know I got up to the men’s team in in Sweden in in in Stockholm in Stockholm in your garden. So I got that jersey number and you stuck with it. Okay, fair play. What would you say is your most significant moment in hockey so far? Most most I would say probably scoring my hat-tick. My first hattick on hat day. That was pretty sick I think. Uh, you know, fans was crazy Saturday night, so it’s pretty cool. That’s epic. Now, this is probably a question you’ve probably had before. What is the best part about being in the NHL? Oh, just some like living up to your dream pretty much. Like you you do your you work with your hobby, something you dreamed of you were a little kid. So, I think just enjoying that moment. It’s it’s so cool. And do you have any superstitions? And if you do, what’s the biggest one? Uh, I always eat pasta pesto. That’s the biggest one. I need pass if I don’t get past a pass the game day. It’s Yeah, it screws my day. I like that. I like that. And when you were growing up, who was the player that you looked up to the most? Uh I looked a lot at Peter Forser. I think uh Paul Latuk was big for me too. So those two were big. Fair play. Did you have any sort of sticks or skates that you felt were the the biggest standouts for you? Like your ultimate favorite, whether it’s a current model or one that doesn’t exist anymore. Favorite pair of of skates and also stick skate stick and skates. Tough one. I I used what is called RB set. RBC the CCMs. Yeah. Yeah. That’s what I used when back in the days a little bit. I like those. It’s pretty cool cuz it was a red. It was the first red sticking came out. So it was pretty cool. So skate. I don’t know. Fair play. And what would you say? It’s probably one you’ve just said before, but your kind of biggest career moment at the minute. Would it still be the hat trick or do you think it’d be something else? My biggest at the moment? Yeah, I think it’s the hatch or just my first game. Maybe it’s those two, you know, first game was pretty big for me, too. That’s epic. This is going to be one that you can you can say skip if you don’t want to do it, but worst rookie initiation moment. Rookie initiation moment. What would that what would that mean really? Joining the team, was there anything that they uh they did to you or they made you do? No, it’s just the basic stuff like when you’re a rookie, you you respect the others, of course. And uh you know, you like if you come come to a hotel, you’re always the last guy who go up in the elevators cuz the veterans go first. It’s it’s great manners like that. It’s I think it’s a big thing. That seems pretty fair. I like that. Now, of course, hockey is a massive part of your life. Your dad plays, your brother plays. Has the meaning of hockey changed for you since getting into the NHL or does it still kind of mean the same thing to you? Uh, it means the same for me. You know, that’s that’s the biggest thing. I feel like, you know, since I was a kid, it’s just been a fun game for me and I’m just trying to keep it that way cuz I feel like that’s how you get better at it. No, that’s awesome. And if you’re having fun, you never really work a day in your life because you you love what you do, right? Exactly. That’s my mentality. I love that. Now, do you mind if we go a bit off topic? Yeah. Best cuisine. Cuisine. Uh, Italian. Okay, I should have guessed that from the pesto pasta comment earlier on. Dream car. My dream car would probably be u I like Bugatti Shyro. Oh Jesus. Okay. So crazy though. You set the bar high. I’m getting high with that. I’ve got to throw mine. Mine’s Conige. I’ve got to throw that in there. And then we’re in the right country for it. There it is. And do you mind if I ask what car you’re driving right now? My car right now I’m driving a BMW X3M. Good man. I like Beamers. I like Beamers. Do you have a nice uh go-to offseason drink? What I do in the offse? Uh used to You mean like when I’m out somewhere else? Probably do like vodka, soda, maybe boring stuff, but I don’t do that. I like that. No, I like it. Do you have any guilty pleasures? Guilty pleasures? Not really. No, not really. I can think about. Fair. If you could send us visiting Stockholm right now, shooting these videos with you. If you could send us to one restaurant in Stockholm, which one would it be and why? It’s called Audrea. It’s like a pretty much hidden spot in in Stockholm. Uh it’s like an Italian spot, of course. Yeah. And uh it’s just such a great Everything’s just great touch and Yeah. You guys will love it. Fantastic. Are you a gamer? Gamer. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Xbox or PlayStation? PlayStation. Oh, god damn it. What are you playing right now? I’m playing a lot of FIFA actually, like Oh my god. And uh Fortnite usually too. So I mean waiting for GTA to release. It’s just they just seem to push it every day. Yeah. No. Fair. Fair. Now that’s cool. I like that. Who would you say, if you can answer, is the biggest diva on your team? Who? The diva. Yeah, diva. Uh I don’t know if I’m a big diva. I don’t really know actually. I can’t say that. I don’t know. That’s fair. That’s fair. And what’s the your favorite thing to do during the offseason season? Probably now it’s probably going to be in here, but I don’t know. I used like to do a lot of like play badminton, play like like tennis sometimes, and those are stuff I like to do in all season. Fair play. Do you have any outrageous purchases that you’ve made since joining the NHL? My car, I would say then it’s pretty Yeah, expensive. What we also like to do is a wrist check. Are you a watch guy? I haven’t got into it yet. No, actually have not. So, I probably will, but I haven’t. No. Okay. I like that. I like that. You’ll have to let me know what you pick up when you do get into it. Yeah. Yeah, I will. I’m excited to hear that. And if you didn’t get into the NHL, did you have a backup of what you wanted to do? I’ve been I don’t know. He’s been thinking about it like not back up at the time, but when I think about it right now and what I think I would love to do, it’s actually being a fireman. Oh, dude, that’s awesome, man. I think that would be cool. That’s something that if I if hockey wouldn’t have been my thing, I think Fireman would win. That’s pretty epic, man. I like that. Last question. What’s your favorite or go-to song right now? Goto song right now or what is my favorite go-to song? I don’t know why he caught me so off guard because a lot came out of now. I was like, where we going here? I don’t know. I’ll do a lot of Swedish rap right now. I can’t even say any a lot of Swedish rap. No, that’s fair. We’ve heard some of it and we didn’t know a lot of Swedish people listen to to grime and drill music as well. That’s like we didn’t know that. So, that’s pretty epic to find out.
