Isn’t This The Second Lions Rule Change Proposal That Failed This Off-Season?

Even though the lions proposed this rule, it was probably multiple teams that wanted this, but it looked best if the lions wanted it. For example, if the vikings proposed this rule rather than the lions, the Vikings would have been perceived as sore losers because of how last season played out.
Same thing with the Packers wanting to ban the tush push. There are lots of teams who want it out, but since the Packers don’t have an owner or a well-known leadership structure, they proposed the rule, so 1 single person doesn’t get the heat for it.
Was this the seeded by record rule? If so, damn. It’s rather annoying to see a team that did fuck all in the regular season, but managed to be better than their garbage heap of a division, get a home playoff game.
This has to be one of the slowest offseasons in a long time.
