👀Ramsey Trade in June? J Harris Gets 1st Ring! Trey Hendrickson Trade Scenario! Most Improved O-Line

All right, what’s happening? Your boy Rico from Street Scores. I’m coming with a Rico report today. Again, I’m sorry for these later videos, but hey, shouts out to my late crew, man. I’ll be seeing y’all in the comment section and everything like that soon as I upload these videos, man. Shouts out to y’all. But of course, like any other week report, we’re going to bounce around from top to topic. A lot of random stuff. Most notably, Jaylen Ramsay potentially going to get traded in June. Going to talk about why the Commanders could be one of the teams. We’ll see. Also, Josh Harris finally got his first ring of a team that he owns. Trey Hendrickson trade scenario thrown out there. We’re going to talk about and dive into whether that trade scenario would make sense from the Commanders in. Also, Pro Football Focus feels like the Commanders have one of the most improved offensive lines going into the 2025 season. And the NFL is now voting on two new rules that they may implement for this next season. And we’re going to talk about how they may affect the Washington Commanders. But before we get into everything, I have a trivia question for you. I’ll give you the answer at the end of the video. Before Terry McLaren from 2020 through 2022, who was the last Washington player to post 1,000 plus receiving yards in three consecutive seasons? Again, I’ll give you the answer at the end of the video, but make sure you still farm that like button, still find the subscription button, and still farm the bell next to that subscription button so you get notification each and every time I release an informative and opinionated video just like this. So, make sure you stay tuned to all of the content. I got y’all covered. Your one-stop shop for everything, Commanders. I can’t wait once I’m finally not as busy. I can’t wait to get a lot of this content out to y’all, especially starting around like next week. Stay tuned. Without further ado, let’s going to dive into this video right now, man. Let’s get it. Adam, Adam. [Music] Let’s start with Jaylen Ramsay. According to Adam Shfter and Fly Sports Buzz, there’s more interest in Jaylen Ramsay than people realize and a trade could happen in June. Another report came out and said that the relationship between the Miami Dolphins and Jaylen Ramsay is viewed as quote unreparable unquote. And a trade is more about when and not an if. That’s really interesting. So, it sounds like Jaylen Ramsey is on the move inevitably from the Miami Dolphins. You have you even have a Miami Dolphins reporter saying the Dolphins at $14 million in cap space and would have 24 if they were able to trade Jayla Ramsey for a 2026 pick after June 1st. So any Finn’s decisions on remaining undrafted free agents is not driven by cap space, but the money value they put on each undrafted free agent. Of course, they can carry over unused space the next year. But basically his point is from all of that is that they trade Jayla Ramsey is not because they need the money. It’s just because Jaylen Ramsay’s not happy being there. They’re not happy having him anymore. It would specifically be for the purpose of just trading away Jaylen Ramsey. They don’t feel like they can use him. But it would not be like a cap cut, a cap trade, any type of situation like that where like, okay, we’re trying to gain this cap space to potentially make another move. Nah, they’re pretty much chilling how they are right now. But outkicks Armando Saletto reported back on April 24th that the Commanders have reached out to the Miami Dolphins about a possible trade for the three-time NFL allp pro cornerback Jaylen Ramsey who has indicated that he prefers his next team to be a title contender. One of those title contenders. Speaking of that, speaking of title contenders, quote, “The Dolphins have talked to the Rams, Falcons, Lions, Commanders, Eagles, and others. The problem here is not draft compensation. Ramsay, if traded, may go for only like a fifth round pick or thereabouts. The issue is the $25.2 million that Miami would have to swallow in dicap if the trade happens before June 1st. So, any team wanting to make this trade now might be asked to provide the Dolphins with some cap relief on that number. Which takes us to the point that he would be a postjune 1st trade if if if he ends up getting traded. And again, they’re reporting that it’s more of a matter of when, not even if, but whenever it happens, it will happen after June at the very earliest so that the Dolphins don’t have to eat as much dick cap after they move him. They get to stay free of any unnecessary cap space that he would take up and the next team gets to deal with all of that and they’re just chilling. They just pretty much wipe themselves clean of it. And it’s interesting that there’s reports out there that they’re willing to potentially trade him for a fifth round pick right now. We’ll see what happens post June 1st, though. Then you also had Heavy Sports. You had Tony Adam of Heavy Sports and he wrote an article titled, “The Commanders are exploring blockbuster trade for $118 million allpro corner.” And then he said, “Commanders will likely release Latimore in a trade.” Which is really interesting. He said getting Ramsay will require not just one move, but likely a series of moves. The first of those would be freeing up salary cap space to get Ramsay and his $25.1 million salary on the books. even if that’s not the final amount, which would likely mean cutting veteran quarterback Marshon Latimore, saving $16 million in salary cap space. Then there’s what Ramsay brings back in a trade. In this case, the Dolphins want a draft pick, which the Commanders, mind you, only have five this year. But again, there’s reports that maybe he’s only going for a fifth round pick. But to step away from this article, I don’t like the idea of having to cut Marshon Latimore or even include him in that trade. I I prefer to stick with Marshall Latimore and see what he has in the tank. I think a fully healthy offseason and an entire off seasonason to fully learn the defense and everything, the ins and outs and everything like that. Gain chemistry with the guys in the secondary around them cuz chemistry and communication is a huge part of secondary play. I think we’re going to see a much improved Marshon Latimore going into this season. And I’m already just not a big fan of trading for Jaylen Ramsay with the fact that we already have Marshon Latimore, let alone cutting or trading away Marshon Latimore to get him. So, for me personally, I don’t like that. But I’m just throwing out there. I’m giving y’all what’s going around right now in the in the commandosphere. And these aren’t even commanders reporters. These are neutral reporters. Even Dolphins reporters talking about all of this. I’m just giving you the information that’s out there. Not trying to clickbait or nothing. I don’t believe the commanders will trade for him. And again, like I’ve already said, I don’t think we should, but I’m just throwing that out there that the Commanders have reportedly called the Dolphins about Jaylen Ramsay. Who knows where this is going to go? But the the whole point of this is that we won’t know anything until June. Even if the Commanders did want to trade for him, they’re not doing it until June. But again, I doubt it happens. So, moving on. Shouts out to Josh Harris, man. He finally done got himself a championship with all of the teams that he owns. He finally got one. Shouts out to Brian Manning of Commander W. He wrote an article titled, “Commander’s owner Josh Harris enjoys a historic major championship.” Remember, in July 2023, let’s take it all the way back. Harris and his partners purchased the Commanders for over $6 billion, establishing a new record for the largest North American professional sports franchise sale. In under two years, Harris completely changed the Commander leadership, and they responded, having their best season in 33 years, and going to the NFC Championship game. Additionally, Harris is on the verge of building a new stadium in Washington DC, something previous ownership could have never done. Harris has accomplished much more since buying his favorite childhood team, but the Commanders aren’t his only team. Harris and his partners also own the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and in the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and the Crystal Palace in the Premier League. The 76ers struggled this past season primarily due to injuries and they might as well just go ahead and blow that up to be completely honest with you. But at one of the NBA’s better teams in recent years, at least they’re, you know, somewhat sur stable playoff contender, I guess you could argue, as long as they’re healthy. And then the Devils were in the playoffs again before falling to the Carolina Hurricanes. But now moving on to how he won this championship. The Crystal Palace team over there in Europe. There are four owners, four general partners that own this team. You have Steve Parish who’s the chairman. Then you have John Texter. And then you also have American businessman David Blitzer and Josh Harris, both of which have parts of the Commanders as well together. And on Saturday, Harris was at Wembley Stadium in London to see his Crystal Palace upset Manchester City to win the Football Association Challenge Cup, aka the FA Cup, for the first time ever. It’s also the first major trophy in Crystal Palace’s 164year history. So, shouts out to John Shares, man. He pulls up, he buys a part of your team, and outside of the I mean, I guess he’s 50/50 right now. outside of the 76ers and the in the New Jersey Devils. You know what I’m saying? This guy touches a team, they’re bound to win a championship soon. So, he got one over there in the UK in London. Let’s see if he can get one now in the DMV with the Washington Commanders. Maybe he’s learned something. Maybe the New Jersey Devils and the 76ers were kind of like his rough drafts of how to do how to handle ownership. And then now he’s taken that experience and put it into this London team, the the Crystal Palace and his commanders. And I’m thinking that maybe we’ll have better fortune than those two previous teams. And again, you’ve already seen how hard of a start we got off to within just like less than two years of him owning this team. So, I’m really excited, man. And then, so shouts out and congratulations to Josh Harris there. Now, moving on, there’s this trade scenario that’s going around the internet right now between the Commanders and Trey Hendrickson. Apparently, the Commanders will sacrifice high-end capital to get Trey Hendrickson in a blockbuster projection. Mike Moradus of Sporting News outlined a trade offer that could work out well for both sides. This involves some high-end draft capital and Doran Armstrong Jr. who joined the commanders last year but achieved just a 14% pass rush win rate in 2024. And if you look on the screen right now, here’s your trade example. This is what that Mike guy from Sporting News is throwing out there. Apparently, the Commanders received Trey Hendrickson and a second round pick. And then we sent to the Bengals a first round pick, a 2027 fourth round pick, and Doris Armstrong Jr. He said, quote, “This would actually be a solid deal for both sides. The Bengals get some great draft capital back for Hendrickson and a solid edge rusher who could replace him in the short term. We don’t love Cincinnati sending back a second rounder, but would be okay with a mid-round pick to get this done. Meanwhile, the Commanders get an edge rusher who is an immediate upgrade over Dante Fowler and single-handedly improves Washington’s chances of winning a Super Bowl this year. And shouts out to Dean Jones of Rigo’s rag for even pointing out the fact though that Hendrickson would help Washington’s quest for a Super Bowl give but giving up a first round pick even if they get a second round during return would be a contentious issue. and parting ways with Armstrong, who ideally would line up opposite of Trey Hendrickson on the defensive front, wouldn’t be ideal either. So, of course, I would love to know how y’all feel about this trade scenario in the comment section. I personally, as much as bad as I want Trees, I’m one of those people out there that’s still hoping somehow we find a way to trade for Trey Henderson before this season starts. But even as bad as I want them, man, a first round pick, even though you do get a second in return, a first round pick is a lot, man. I was hoping that we could just do a third and forget to forget about the whole thing, but we’re having to send over a first and a fourth just to get a second in return. And then you got to send Doris Armstrong as well, who again right now is one of your starting edge rushers. I’m assuming as of right now, how the depth chart is set up. Dietrich Wise is probably going to be a starting edge rusher opposite of Doris Armstrong. But Dorren Armstrong is the only definitive edge rusher we have on this entire roster right now where I know he’s one of our starters. is if you have to trade him away to get Trey Hendrickson. Now granted, you become way better rush in the passer. You’ve gotten an extreme upgrade over Doran Armstrong, but now who starts opposite of Trey Hendrickson? I guess it would be Dietri Wise. You could throw in Jacob Martin in there who we brought over from the Browns as like a situational pass rusher. I think Javon Kinlaw is going to play a lot of defensive tackle, but even some edge rusher in certain packages in certain situations as well. Um, so I mean I guess you can find a way to kind of like have the op the edge rusher opposite of Trey Hendrickson by committee having a rotation of guys to step in opposite of him and then of course like Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvo is still going to rush the quarterback especially up the A and B gap. So it’s not like we will be short of other pass rush help outside of Trey Hendrickson. But at the same time man I still feel like that’s a lot of capital to give up. But that’s just me personally. But tra if if I just woke up tomorrow and this trade happened, I wouldn’t be complaining. Looking at the trade on paper, I I’m I’m a little uncomfortable with giving up that much draft capital, but at the same time, man, again, if I wake up tomorrow and this trade happened, let’s go win us Super Bowl. I mean, it hurts us in the long run, but that’s what free agency is for. And Trey Hendrickson immediately, I think, closes the gap between you and the Eagles. I mean, I think the Eagles did honestly with a lot of the players that they lost in free agency. And even though they got better in the draft, I feel like overall they may have taken a slight step back. I don’t think they’re going to I think they’re still going to be one of the best teams in the NFL. I just don’t think they’re going to be as dominant this next season. Whereas the Commanders got way better. And you add Trey Hendrickson to that. Oh, we’re way way better. I think that immediately moves us to like number one at worst, number two in most power rankings that have done all of the experts out there just by trading by the NFL sack leader back-to-back season. He didn’t just do it one season like a flash in the PL pan, maybe some fluke lucky stuff. He’s done it backtoback seasons. 2023 and 2024 led the NFL in sacks. And he’s not the best run defender. Of course, he’s not Miles Garrett against the run. He’s not Khil Mack against the run either, but he’s better than Dante Fowler ever was at any point last year. He’s not a liability. He’s not a dominant run stopper. He’s not even necessarily I would say Montes would have Chase Young when it comes to setting the edge and stopping the run, but he’s at least not a liability there like Dante Fowler was. And he’s a way better pass rusher than anybody we’ve had on this team in a long time. It probably in my lifetime since I’ve been alive have we had a pass rusher to the level of a Trey Hendricks. And again, leading the league in sacks two years in a row is not easy to do, man. That’s not just some lucky happen to just fall in the sacks type of situation, man. This guy is a machine. And to add a dominant pass rusher like that with all of the improvements we made towards taking our last place run defense last year to what I think is going to be a top 10 run defense this year. U I mean then the offense is going to be way better. So teams are going to consistently have to pass the ball against us cuz they’re going to be playing behind a lot cuz Jayden Daniels a top five quarterback already and we gave him a top five offensive line potentially and better weapons around him. So teams are going to be playing from behind. They’re going to pass the ball a lot and Trey Henderson is going to be able to eat a lot even more so than what he did even with the Bengals last year cuz the Bengals were the ones playing behind a lot last time last year cuz even though he led the NFL in sacks, them boys could their defense was wet toilet paper out there. I feel like our defense is way better overall top to bottom with Trey Hendrickson as the Bengals are right now with Trey Hendrickson. So, I I just think again I that’s a lot to give up right now on paper. If you ask me, would I do this? I’m leaning towards a no. But again, if I woke up tomorrow and this trade just already happened, this has just been done. Adam Peters just went ahead and and and and pressed the red button and made it happen, then I can I can start to convince myself, well, hey, let’s go win us a Super Bowl right now. You know what I’m saying? So, those are the positives to it. Again, I’m a little uncomfortable with the trade, but hey, man, if it happened, let’s get it. Now, moving on to Pro Football Focus, you have Andrew Ice, who wrote an article titled the most improved NFL offensive lines this off season. Of course, you had the Chicago Bears that weren’t playing in free agency going to go get Joe Tuni, Jonah Jackson, all of those different guys. Then you have the Minnesota Vikings. You have the New England Patriots, and you also have the Jacksonville Jaguars. Most importantly for us, you have the Washington Commanders as well as one of the six teams that they highlighted. And they said after an incredible rookie season from Jaden Daniels, the Commanders are hoping they’ve locked down their offensive tackle spots for years to come following the trade acquisition of Laramie Tonsel and a selection of Oregon tackle Josh Connelly Jr. in the 2025 NFL draft’s first round. Even though the Texans offensive line struggled last year, Tonsel still managed to earn an 89.1 Pro Football Focus pass blocking grade with all of the mess that was going on around him, marking his fifth season with a Pro Football Focus pass blocking grade of 84.9 or better. This guy’s a top three tackle in the NFL, y’all. While Tonsel did struggle with penalties in 2024, and I blame way more of that on just the overall defensive line around him and him trying to overcompensate for the bad that was around him and next to him. He should bring some muchneeded stability to the Commander offensive line for at least the next two seasons. Washington is betting that Josh Connelly Jr. can hold up at tackle in the NFL, but he may project better as a guard. I don’t understand that though, cuz Josh Connelly really the only weakness to his game in my opinion is his strength, his anchor, his lack of anchor. He can get beat by bull rushes. Why would you move him to guard where he’s going to go against Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams and those type of guys? Why would you want him matched? I prefer for him to deal with the speedy edge rushers. Maybe the occasional strong bull rushing edge rusher over the consistently every single play dominant strength bull rushing defensive tackle, nose tackle, whatever you want to call him, man. I I just never really understood the Josh Connelly at guard situation. My biggest worry about him at tackle is the lack of strength, which I mean would get exposed even more at at guard. But out of the way though, the Commanders are getting a good athlete who earned a 78.1 per football focus grade on true pass sets last season. And I think he deserves better than that because he made Abdul Carter, the third overall pick in the draft, have his worst game by far all last season when they matched up against each other. So this guy is ready to go against high-end talent. He just needs to be more consistent. Washington also made a couple of lowcost signings along the offensive line to add depth as the team looks to make another deep postseason run. And again, my point is why I’m so confident that this offensive line will be top five, I think, and I think there could be an argument that maybe it’ll end up being the best offensive line in all of football is because again, you traded for Lar Tonsel, top three at worst, top five tackle, right now he’s your left tackle, elite pass blocker, not the best run blocker, but he’s an elite pass blocker. Then Josh Connelly Jr. again, the guy to shut down Abdul Carter. Need I say more with him at right tackle. Brandon Coleman did a great job against Trey Hendrickson when we played the Bengals week three. He’s gonna move from left tackle to now left guard. And I feel like his skill set, his strength, his just overall build and brute strength, I feel like is even better suited at guard. Even though I think he could end up being a really good tackle, I think he could be an even better guard, like a Pro Bowl guard. Then your starting center, Talibian, your top five at worst top seven center in the NFL. You saw how big of a difference our run game was. is our entire offensive line, our entire offense was whenever he was hurt and then you had um m Michael Michael Deer to have to step up in his place like for two games last year like Tyler Bottes him hurt off offense just immediately worse than what it was when whenever he was healthy then Samuel Cosby when he is healthy pro bowl right guard I mean this is a guy that even non-commanders fans and reporters and experts like really love like they feel like he’s one of the best guards in the NFL I remember coming Then two, last season he was picked like pro football focused by like as like the second best guard in the NFL going into the season. Now he didn’t necessarily play that well, but he’s still a really good guard and he makes up he could be a really good guard on a top five offensive line. And then your backups, Nick Aligretti was your starting left guard last year. Andrew Wallally was your starting right tackle last year and they were a part of even though it kind of bottomed out towards the end and they didn’t play like it but overall beginning to end overall stats wise that was a top 15 offensive line last year in the NFL arguably top 12 according to some advanced stats when you’re looking at like pass rush win rate and all that pass block win rate all of that type of stuff and so now you take two starters from that offensive line last year that was top 12 and now they’re backups and then you bring over the guy that was supposed to be the Steelers starting center last year and Nate Herbig and now he’s your backup center instead of Michael Deer. And then Trent Scott went out there in that Detroit Lions game after Samuel Cosm got hurt and played like a really good starting caliber right guard. He’s one of your backup offensive linemen as well. We have four guys that I have at least some sort of evidence that they could start either for this offensive line or another team’s offensive line that’s way worse than ours. And though those four guys are backups purely just depth, you hope that if everything goes well, best case best case scenario, everybody stays healthy. They never even see the field and for even a snap this year outside of like Trent Scott coming in as like the third tackle to potentially catch a pass. But even then, Josh Connelly has tight end and running back in his in his game. Like he he could do a better job of that than even Trent Scott did last year when he caught Jaden Daniels his first touchdown pass of his NFL career, week three against the Bengals. I mean, that boy Josh Connelly even caught like a direct snap out of Wildcat, ran three people over and got a touchdown for Oregon. And of course, he’s caught touchdown passes for them as well. I mean, this offensive line is absolutely insane. You You go and trade for Debo Samuel, then you draft a guy in Josh Connelly that’s going to be one of the best second level blocking tackles in the entire NFL immediately. We could talk about his anchor and everything as far as a weakness, but his mobility getting up to up there to the linebackers and DBs to block them on a dbo Samuels screen. is immediately going to make him way more effective just because of the fact that you drafted Josh Connelly. And of course, I mean, don’t you dare give Jayen Daniels more time than he had last year. Come on, man. So, this offensive line, I’m telling y’all right now, is going to be the catalyst for why we do close the gap on the Eagles and win this division and go all the way to the Super Bowl. I think it all starts with the trenches, the offensive line. It would be nice if we can figure out edge rusher, but I feel like we can scheme around that. It’s really tough to scheme around offensive line, man. You just got it or you don’t. And thank goodness we finally have it because that that Giants defense over there, especially that front seven, Abdullah Carter, Kavon Tibido, Brian Burns, the Cowboys have Michael Parsons, the Eagles have all of my Georgia Bulldogs over there, which is one of the main reasons they were so dominant. You got to have a really good offensive line to even survive in the NFC East, let alone make it to the Super Bowl right now. And the Super Bowl still goes through the Eagles. So, and the best way to counter their dominant defense is to have a dominant offensive line. And as you’ve noticed, a lot of the best teams that that come out of the NFCs the past few years when Dak Prescott was balling with Zeke Elliot, they had arguably the best offensive line in football. The Eagles with Jaylen Herz, even before Seaquin got there, arguably the best offensive line in all of football. I think we potentially could take the crown from them this season. So, shouts out to Pro Football Focus for recognizing that. And then also literally while I was talking about this offensive line stuff, just saw a notification like right now 2:59 a.m. like while I’m recording this NFL rumors going around that the Bengals Trey Hendrickson reportedly was not happy when his head coach called him about being fined for missing time in camp coming up. So that’s just another update that Trey Hendrickson and and as far as getting a new contract done with the Bengals, they’re nowhere near close. Now, I I don’t think he’ll end up sitting out. I think that’s like a weird situation cuz, you know, the the contract will just acrue and then technically he’s in the last year of his deal right now, but if he were to sit out this year, he would be in the last year of his deal again next year in 2026. The the the contract would just transfer into the next season. Unless there’s like I believe there is that rule where if you just play half the game. So, I guess he could try to force his hand that way and gain some leverage to where a Bengals, I’m only going to give you half the games this season. Find me whatever you do, but I’m going to make sure this contract counts. so I could be a free agent next year. And I’mma also try to sell y’all y’all’s chances of going to a Super Bowl right now because the Bengals are in win now mode right now. Joe Burrow is not getting any younger. Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, none of those guys are getting any younger. You’re paying them huge money. They want to win right now. I mean, of course, every franchise is trying to build towards the future and the present as well. But the Bengals are definitely one of the more win right now teams in the NFL. And hey, Trey Hendrickson may be able to gain some leverage right there. We’re showing them. I mean, our defense, the defense was atrocious last year with me leading the NFL in sacks. Imagine how bad it’s going to be when I’m not out there. And Sam Hubard retired. And to make it even worse, your first round pick Stewart out of Texas A&M is holding out because of a contract dispute as a draft pick. He’s pulling a Joey Bosa. I think it was Joey Bos with the Chargers when he came out as a rookie that he had that contract dispute and he was holding out. Of course, we’re all assuming that he’ll eventually sign, but man, the Bengals, y’all just can’t get nothing right right now outside of paying your two receivers. Nothing else is gone right right now. I mean, y’all the same people that drafted Jermaine Burton last year. And I and not only I, but most people were screaming, “Don’t do it. He’s going to come in as a head case, be a huge distraction, and is going to be way more trouble than he’s worth.” And look at him. So, Bengals, good luck. If you’re willing to come down on that price, like whatever that trade scenario was, if you’re willing to take that down from a first round pick to like a maybe a second, maybe we trade seconds and then you give us a fourth or whatever and then even though I doubt they would take that, then you can call us and we’ll make it go through. I’ll talk to AP personally myself and make sure he gets that done. And then lastly, before we get up out of here, even though this is overall NFL news, this does relate to the commanders. It could it could affect us because right now NFL owners could soon vote on two potential rules that could definitely impact the Commander. Shouts out to E Ivan Lambert of Commanders Wire for this article right here breaking it all down. He did point out the fact that when NFL owners meet again this week, two rules could be changed and the Commanders fans will be watching closely. During the earlier owners meetings, the owners determined to table the tush push or the brevy shove, whatever you want to call it. The Eagles rugby style quarterback shove play will supposedly be voted upon, though speculation still warrants why it was tabled at all. Why wasn’t there a vote last meeting? So now they’re definitely looking into it this meeting. Maybe it could end up getting banned. Interestingly enough, the commander’s tactics of attempting to time a leap over the offensive line shots out to Frankie Lvu to get to the quarterback drew more interest around the league and discussing the play. Others had already brought up the stylistic concerns that the play was more reminiscent of something you might see in rugby than previously in the NFL. And so a lot of people hate it. And then again, Frankie Luvu just constantly making it look like a clown show in the NFC Championship game only helped fan the fires of the owners being like, “All right, all right. Maybe we should ban this play.” So if it does end up getting banned, everybody needs to give Frankie Luvo a hug. And then also the second rule, the Detroit Lions proposed a trade in the NFL’s playoff seating system. This one’s crazy. The proposed change sought to reward wildcard teams with better records than division winners. Presently, of course, the four division winners in both the NFC and AFC are automatically rewarded with the top four seeds in the playoff tournament, regardless of how good or bad their records might actually be. Remember, we went to the playoffs as a 7-9 team back in 2020 with Taylor Hineki. under the new rules that the Detroit Lions are trying to propose, we still would have made it to the playoffs, but we would have actually been like the seventh seed instead of just automatically the fourth seed, the home team against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we would have been on the road. So, we still would have made the playoffs, but we would have been the road team and probably would have gotten done worse than even than we already were. But my point is, and their point is is that they want to reward teams with better records. Their argument is that we already play our division rivals twice a year and and we feel like if we’re able to beat out everybody but still somehow have a slightly worse record than our other division rival, but then we have better records than all of these division leaders in other divisions, we feel like we should be a higher seed than those guys and we deserve homefield advantage over those guys. All of this is a home field advantage argument. Who actually deserves homefield advantage? Cuz seating I mean that’s just a number on paper. Honestly, the biggest part of it is who gets to play at home during the playoffs. And so, we’ll see what happens because as Commanders fans, we should hope that this rule goes into play cuz say if for some reason the Eagles win the division again, but we have a really good record. We win 12 or more games, 13 games or something like that. But then you just have this random team say in the NFC South with all them sorry teams over there, especially them sorry Falcons, and they they win their division with like nine wins or something like that. There’s no reason if we were to play the Falcons, we got to play in Atlanta just because they won their sorry division and then we came out with a way better record than our tougher division in the NFC East. So, as Commanders fans, we should hope this gets this rule gets put into place, voted as a yes and approved. I mean, objectively, just from the outside looking in, I prefer to personally keep it how it’s always been. That’s just me. But as Commanders fans, we are definitely biased towards, hey, yes, please make this rule change. Please go ahead and change this rule right now. You know, if our division was full of sorry teams back like in 2020 when we went seven and nine, then we would love this rule. But right now, we’re trying to get as much home field advantage as possible in these playoffs. So, this rule could actually benefit us if it does get approved. But at the end of the day, again, like I said, I prefer to keep it how it is, but I understand why Commanders fans would want to switch it now that we’re finally good. But yeah, man, that’s the end of this video. Please get in the comment section. Let me know everything discussing videos. Be still farm that like button still find the subscription button and still farm the bell next to that subscription button so you get notification each and every time I release a formative and opinionated video just like this one. Really appreciate y’all for supporting the videos, man. Especially if you made it this far in the video, I salute to you. And the answer to your trivia question was Henry Ellard from 1994 through 1996. If you already knew that off the top of your head, real ball nowhere. Shouts out to you, man. And again, make sure y’all leave a like on the way out. And I really appreciate y’all, man. Let me know in the comments section how you feel about everything discussed in this video. How do you feel about us potentially trading for Jaylen Ramsay? How do you feel about Josh Harris finally getting the ring and what that could potentially mean for the commanders where like the the 76ers and the Devils? Maybe those were just science experiments, you know, the the crash test dummies. Now his his newer teams are the ones that he’s going to take the best care of and that they’re going to be more successful. Let me know how you feel about that. Of course, let me know how you feel about the Trey Hendrickson trade scenario that I gave you from Mike Moradis. And then also, let me know how you feel about the Commanders potentially being one of the most improved. And overall, just one of the best offensive lines in all of football. And let me know how you feel about those two rules. Let me know if you want both of those rules to take place. Should we ban a tush push? And should we should we trade the NFL seasoning to be based purely on records? And that’s it. Let me know how you feel about everything discussed in this Rico Report. I’m going to catch y’all later with another video. Make sure y’all leave a like on the way out. Appreciate y’all. I’m out. Oh yeah. [Music] That’s a ride. Oh yeah.

  1. The Hendrickson glaze is crazy! Dont just look at the sack numbers….watch the film. He's OVERRATED! And he is obissmal against the run

  2. We dont need Ramsey. Id rather save whatever wed have to give up for Jalen and use it to get something else that we havent addressed in trade and draft capital the passed year.

  3. Hey Rico, if you're curious about the whole Connerly to guard idea, Logan Paulsen went over it in a recent take command podcast. The idea is that basically, while you're going up against a potentially stronger, bigger person on the inside, they have much less of a run up to the block, meaning that they can't convert nearly as much speed to power usually. That said, you obviously make better use of his strengths on the outside, it's just not as far fetched of a back up plan as you may at first think.

  4. I’m really surprised by how much I have come to like Josh Harris. I really appreciate how he taking care of the team. We really been missing out all these years with Dan dirty Snider in charge. Feels good to be a winner. 😊

  5. Rico, with Washington at least playing in the playoffs, maybe Superbowl, our next year 1st round pick will be a really late round. So, this trade would essentially be traded 2026 second rounders. Looking at it from this perspective, I think this trade would be outstanding for us! And! As far as traded ML, I highly doubt this trade will ever happen.

  6. I really don't think we need ramsey, you could make the argument that our corner corps is our strongest position group. We for sure have bigger needs

  7. No to that trade for Hendrickson. It's nice to have a sack master but NOT NECESSARY to win a championship. Everyone is making waaaaaaaay to much out of this situation, kinda like the Left Tackle thing from last draft (and really good Lt Tackle is more needed for a super bowl run).

  8. Adam Peters isn't giving up any more picks. He's waiting for June 1st cuts and also so he can sign someone like von. Miller za'darius Smith . even may take a shot with drake jackson.

  9. Screw Lattimore and trade for Ramsey and give them that 5th pick and also send that first to the Bengals for Henderson then stack multiple picks for the Washington DC draft and go get this Superbowl now

  10. Come on man, another Redskin that should be in the HOF. Henry Ellard. Averaged a thousand yards a game for his entire career (16 yrs) One of the best route runners to ever play the game. No brainer

  11. 1st, 4th and DA is a solid trade. Especially getting back a 2nd? If we finish we everyone thinks we should finish then you're trading a 1st thats almost a 2nd for a 2nd. So a 2nd for a 2nd, the better end of a player swap and a 4th. Great trade.

  12. 100% all in on the Hendrickson trade scenario. Future Draft picks are like IOU’s, whereas the player you get now is cash in your hand. There is no guarantee that you’d be lucky enough to find a 17+ sack DE with any of your next three 1st round picks. Any player of that caliber will surely go in the top 10 picks in any draft class, so unless we experience a tragedy, Washington won’t have an early 1st rounder anytime in the near future.

Hendrickson could be the final piece needed to propel this team into the Super Bowl.

  13. We can make do without Hendrickson… keep Lattimore and pick up J Ramsey. Find another pass rusher that don’t ask for as much.

  14. 3x 1000 yd seasons receiving or rushing? for Receiving I am gonna guess Art Monk and I am sure Alfred Morris had 3 consecutive 1000+ yd seasons rushing (his first 3 seasons). EDIT: (after answer revealed… Damn Rico, I forgot Henry Ellard had a little bit of a resurgence in his mid 30's after also having 4 consecutive 1000 yd seasons for the Rams in his late 20's!) Good Shit!

  15. I think Von or Ze are good enough to get More DE Help.

At least until they see what happens with the team by the Week 9 Trade Deadline.

And I don’t think they should get Jalen.

  16. Commanders need a mascot, not a big ass W. Or a pig with an army helmet. We need something to stand up for!!! Bring back the REDSKINS !!! Let’s make a big deal of this.
