San Diego Padres vs Toronto Blue Jays – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | May 21, 2025 MLB Season
and he got him to chase another splitter. A good start for Gossman and he lines it into right center. Springer will cut it off. Arise is on his way to second and he is in there with a double. And the same kind of thing happened just a couple of times very early. Here’s Machado popping one up. Guerrero into foul territory to make the over the shoulder catch and then alertly get it to the plate very quickly to hold the runner at third. And he got him. Just kept doing it just as you said, Buck. And Gosman pitches around the double and the boss. And right on the corner again, this time with a fast ball to get Michette. So, 47 first innings and only three homers. There’s a bouncing ball to short. Xander Bogarts in plenty of time. Two down. You know, we got to play along with it in the moment as Basset did it as now Bogart sends one to left field and coming in to make the catch as Lucas one down in it and he got him swinging. Two very good innings so far for Kevin Gosman. Four Ks already. I would think those folks in the Oilers jerseys will be following along on their phones tonight. George Springer first pitch swinging to deep center but playable for Jackson Merrill. One down here in the bottom of the second. Dave Parker man. What a player. And that is called strike three. Santandere clearly thought it was low. Having a bit of a quiet conversation with Todd Titchner. Pass ball lined to Bette. One down. Wine Maldonado. That’s a fair ball. Gosman will throw him out. Swing and a miss. He strikes out Tatis on three pitches. Line drive right center field and caught by Tatis for out number two in the air to right center. Merryill has room and makes the catch and the Blue Jays are retired through three. No score. 328 career hitter. Fly ball down the left field line and over near the line to make the play is Lucas. Arise is retired. 0 for one. A pop up into foul territory that Guerrero ran down the line. And now a fly ball to right field. Springer back jumps and it’s over his head. He’ll come back and get it. Machado is on his way to second and in there with a double. And a fast ball freezes up. 97 at the bottom of the zone. And he is. It is taken by Kirk. And Springer has it stolen. Yeah, that’s good move right there. And a ground ball to second. Backhanded by Croninworth. And that’s the inning through four. No score between the Padres’s and the Blue Jays. Swung on and miss. Got him with a fast ball up in the zone. Another good sign for Santair. And now Barger, a big swing and a drive to deep center. Caught. Merrill 400 ft away makes the catch. A sliding stop by Bogarts and the Padres’s will get the lead runner. They force Santandere Clement safely across on a fieldielder’s choice. Lucas with a high fly deep right field and long gone. One and two. The count on Guerrero. Grounded sharply to short. Bogards to Croninworth to force Bett and end the inning. The Lucas home run has made it two to nothing Blue Jays. As we get an update now with Jamie Campbell. Fly ball to left center field, not deep. They converge. And Avaro makes the catch. He looks more like the Gauman. A fair ball past the diving Guerrero and down the line and Arise is around second and on his way to third and in there. Boy, a onew pitch and he laces it into the corner for a triple. But at the same time, you got to make quality pitches and you just don’t want to give in and bring the left-hander to the plate. Fast ball down the right field line. Springer makes the catch. Got that fast ball in on the hands of Machado enough to get some weak contact. And that’s six strong for Gossman tonight with two strikes. That’s not in play. He hooks it to right field and Tatis comes on to make a nice sliding catch. Just got through the top three in the order in the sixth. swung on and missed and Springier ringing out his left hand after striking out. Two down and he got him. Got him to chase one outside to strike him out and end the inning. End of six. Still two nothing Blue Jays. And a swing and a miss. Gauzeman gets Bogarts. That’s nine strikeouts now for Kevin Gosman. A broken bat grounder to second. Clement to Guerrero and the side is retired. And what a night it has been for Kevin Gosman. Grounded to second and bobbled. And they’ll get an out at second. But Croninworth was getting ready to come home. Couldn’t do it. Barger scores and the infield defense continues to betray the Padres’s. A little looper to center’s going to drop for a base hit and it is four to nothing. Getting that change up into the game against Marshall. Pulled down to third and Machado’s got this one and everybody is safe. And here comes Bette to score. Hopefully nothing more serious. Here’s a fly ball. Well hit right center field and it’s down and two runs will come in to score. A long two-run double for Class A. He’s blown it open. It is seven to nothing. And now Barger sends one high in the air to left center, but this one is playable for Merrill. And finally, the inning is over. The Blue Jays score five and now lead seven to nothing. And a swing and a miss to get Hayward for round number two. Charge to Manny Machado that allowed Bette to come in to score. Bette will line one into center. That’s a base hit. Clement jogging home. Lucas to second. It is eight to nothing. Deep to centered out some frustration striking out with an opportunity to drive in runs and then makes up for it with a grand slam. Now Springer pulls one down the left field line and that’s a fair ball and he can glide into second with a double. Barger hits one down the line into the right field corner. Springer will come home. Class around to third. RBI double for Barger. 13 to nothing. And a base hit into left. Class will score. Barger to third. 14 to nothing. Pops it up. And a Glacius backpedaling into shallow center. Two down. Runner goes and a Machado will take second on defensive indifference. 23,266 tonight. Have enjoyed every minute of this one. And that is that the Blue Jays score more runs than they had scored in a game all season. Nathan Lucas has another big night.

The Padres have been outscored 32-3 in the last 5 games. Their opponent has scored at least 3 runs in all 5 of those games, and at least 5 in 3 of them.
The Padres scored 3 runs in 5 games, the Blue Jays scored 14 runs in 4 innings!
