The Dallas Cowboys FOUND Their X FACTORS At OTAs… | Cowboys News |

than in past years. Yeah. I mean, I think one um the approach of of how we’re building it. Um I think a lot of times may may in the past I’ve said it and I’ve I’ve maybe just been talking and not just talking or naive in a sense of talking about how great just the offenses was, right? Or and not necessarily the team and not necessarily offense connecting with defense, connecting with special teams. So, um, I I I believe that Shotti’s doing it the right way from the top down of of take the offense and defense away from it, take the positions away from it, take the coaching player aspect away from it, and let’s connect. And you’re talking to one of the most optimistic people I think you you’ll find. Um, I I’ve seen it the way that it’s going. I see the way that people are buying into it, and it’s hard for me to think anything different. Ladies and gentlemen, the Dallas Cowboys week one of OTAAS are officially in the book. And I feel like they might have found their next big X factor from this week’s practices. And what I’m going to do in this video is going to break down everything we saw, all the news, the notes, the highlights, the observations from this week’s practice. Now, as we get into next week in mandatory mini camp in the next few weeks, we’re going to start to see more practice highlights. Now, in this video, all we have is really pictures because the reporters are not allowed to film practice, right? Because they don’t want other teams figuring out what they’re running and looking at the film and being able to study it. So, they just show pictures for now. But don’t worry, the videos will be coming soon, but I wanted to break down the biggest parts of practice. George Pickkins, right? Mashing up with CD Lamb. Man, the energy, the aura, it just feels a little bit different here in Dallas under Brian Shanheimimer. Now, the first thing that you notice when you look at practice over the last few days, energy, energy, pace, and pace, right? These guys are moving. Not walking from drill to drill or walking from individual to team activity. These guys are running. But the one thing that really stood out to me during these OTAAS was the amount of players that absolutely loved, and I’m talking George Pickkins, CD Lamb, they absolutely loved new head coach Ryan Shanheimimer. And I want to show you a little clip of Jaden Blue even talking about it. What has been your moment with him so far? Coach Shock. Yeah, man. I love him. Um, from day one when I got there, his energy. Um, that’s that’s a big thing in that in that facility, man. They always have a lot of energy. Um, how would you describe Seanimer’s energy? Um, up uplifting. I could be having a bad somebody could be having a bad day and he come in, start screaming, excited, and I love coaches like that cuz, you know, it it it helps me like I’m a I’m a big energetic guy when it comes to football. So, a coach that I can relate to like that, you know, it it helps me be better. So, um, he’s a really great guy. I I got a chance to sit down and talk to him and you know I’m I’m ready to get a chance to work with him. I think we’re sleeping on coach. Now outside of Brian Shanheimer being a hit, we also got to see a little bit more into practice and Joe Milton was absolutely displaying that arm. Um a lot of people were shocked and man the dude looks good. Now, we did have some ups and downs obviously, um, but we did get to see Joe Milton. And one thing that I’m absolutely loving right now, guys, Dak Prescott’s ability to mentor, right? Now, as a player, as a human, you know that Joe Milton could take your job. Okay? And a lot of players don’t like to mentor guys at the same position because they know at the end of the day, he could be your replacement. You could get fired from your job with this guy, Joe Milton. So, Dak doesn’t care. He’s like, “Listen, at the end of the day, I’m going to have to compete. I’m going to have to be better, and I’m going to help Joe Milton be better.” Brian Shawn is in love with what Joe Milton showcased at practice over the last few days. Um, but again, I love what Dak Prescott showcasing. He looks a lot better. He’s got a little arm sleeve on. Um, I I think he’s going to be really good within this offense this season. Now, let’s get into a little bit of what you guys want to hear about. George Pickkins, CD Lamb, Jaden Blue. How did this offense look? I mean, we can just start seeing the glimpses of what this dude is going to add to the team. Another alpha wide receiver. The defense is no longer going to be able to have one high safety looks. You can’t shadow cover Sidi Lamb because if you do, then George Pickkins has a one-on-one on the opposite side and opposite, right? Vice versa, if you double team George, Sid’s got a one-on-one. So, now you’re going to start to seeing two eye safety looks and now you’re going to be able to run the football, right? Javvonte Williams, Miles Sanders, Jaden Blue, Phil Mafa run it down defense’s throats because they can’t do anything outside of having those two eye safeties and when they do add another guy in the box. Well, boom, one of your wide receivers has an absolute chance to dominate on the football field. So, you just think about this offense with CD Lamb on one side, GP on the other side, inserting a potential maybe Cavonte Turpin in the slot and maybe even rookie Jaden Blue who has 4.38 speed. um you know him at running back could really change the momentum of this football team and man I am so excited to see how good this offense can be. You you look at Jaylen Tolbert as well. I think they got a lot of weapons here um alongside Lamb Pickings Blue Mafa Jake Ferguson Camonte Turpin a lot of guys who can do a lot of different things for you. And we’ve already seen AJ Brown come out and say listen we got to be we got to be nervous. We got to worry about this Dallas Cowboys team with GP on this football team. Man, I am super excited to see how this offense is utilized on we on day one. Now, real quickly, guys, I want to play you a little bit of a clip from Bri Brian Shanheimer talking about this wide receiver room. Uh we think that there’s a one over there as CD said it and if you look over there, there’s a one there. So, I think that’s the way that we view GP. My time with him has been just incredible. Um when he came in after the trade, just getting a chance to really get to know him. We had a little uh free throw shooting competition. Uh I think he beat me twice. I’ve beaten him once, but the last time we played, I beat him. So, I do want to put that out there that I did beat him. Um I think we’re really excited about what he brings as a football player. But, uh I I see a guy that’s maturing. I see a guy that we’re excited to put out there and and watch him grow and get better. I love watching him in meetings because in meetings he’s been so dialed in, taking great notes, but his intentionality in the meeting room has been really cool for now. You see that one arm sleeve here by Dak Prescott. he looks like he’s in a lot better shape and this is kind of the the year where he has to prove that not only is he still the franchise quarterback, but he can bring them far in the playoffs.
