We all knew this would happen…
In a series featuring the top two teams by number of comeback wins, I think we all knew that as the Dallas Stars faced off against the Edmonton Oilers that there was some excitement due. And this game did not disappoint. First off though, I’ve got to say, Dallas Stars fans, I thought we were cool. I’ve seen some of you complaining about my coverage of your team. I took Dallas to beat Colorado before the playoffs started and I thought they could be Stanley Cup contenders and here we are now. I didn’t expect Rantin to do what he’s been doing, nor did I expect to see Matt Duchain and Tyler Sean twice on the board, but here we are. So, Edmonton had a really good first two periods. McDavid was just flying, generating chances. He’d end the night with two points. It could have been worse for Dallas. However, Dry Cidle, after a lengthy McDavid keepin, would drive from the blue line, scoring blocker side. Tyler Sean would get one back on the breakaway, but in the second, Nooj and Evan Bousard would give the Oilers a twogoal lead and they looked fully in control. But in the third, Edmonton got into some serious penalty trouble. They would end with four total and Dallas was able to convert on three. And they were all legitimate penalties. I got to say, I thought the cane high sticking was a phantom call, but after the show, I saw an alternate angle and yeah, he definitely got him in the cheek. It just does not look it at all. Perry also took a dumb one, just completely needless. But Hayeskin would open the scoring off a power play continued from the last period. This was a shot with a lot of traffic. I thought Skinner had a pretty good game despite the score. He said afterwards he needs to check his sides, be a little quicker on this one. Yeah, I agree. It’s hard to be too overly critical just because of how bunched up Dallas was and that was sort of their MO this game, but you got to be a little better there. Granland on the next power play would just absolutely rip one again. Skinner is blocked. Bousard needs to clear Robertson out from in front of his goalender. Then Dallas would grab their third in the span of 5 minutes. A pretty messy one where Duchaine would get his first goal and it’s been a minute. I don’t know exactly how long in the playoffs anyway. that would give the Stars the lead and they’d go on to take it 6-3 with an empty net. I’ve got to say Dallas after that fourth goal continued to push. Edmonton had some great chances afterwards. And I think both teams come out of this game feeling all right. For Edmonton, you fell apart over 5 minutes, penalty trouble. That’s something you could hopefully correct. And you’ve only lost one game on the road. Certainly not the end of things. For Dallas, however, they’ve shown great bounceback throughout these entire playoffs. They’ve done it again now. They managed to, as much as anyone can contain McDavid. He was just bouncing around the ice tonight. So, yeah, very, very entertaining game. Let me know your thoughts. Who do you have taking this series? And what did you think of game one? I look forward to reading your comments down below.
McDavid and the Oilers just got absolutely bamboozled by the Stars as they comeback from being down 3-1 to beat Edmonton 6-3. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

Looks like it's going to be Florida and Dallas in the finals
Bye bye Dallas
Stars in 4
Stars have had a couple bad games this post season, but so have the Oilers. Oilers first series was real questionable.
Really feels like this is the year for Dallas. They have the pieces, just need to do it. Oilers have the ability to spoil, it will all come down to if Dallas can finish the series..
My guess is Dallas in 5.
Youβre good with me my man and Iβm a stars fanπ«‘
I have had stars in final before playoffs started!! This game was AWESOME!!!π
Eck saying Series triggered Siri
the refs will make sure the game goes in favour of the American teams by calling penalties against the Oilers and look the other way when Dallas has infractions. That is how Betmann keeps the cup down south for 32 years. Oilers are the better team but will not win against corruption. Don't believe me? wait until Canada has not had the cup for 50 years? How many decades without the cup before corruption becomes apparent?
Skinner with the sabotage.. like always letting all those pucks in
Just when you think the Leafs are out of the playoffs, they show up in Dallas wearing Oilers jerseys for the third period. π
Iβm not a big hockey guy but I predict both series to go to six with the kitty cats and superstars to win but again idk what Iβm talking about. Wow Panthers up 2-0 and going back home but Bennett might be out which hurts. So far hockey has been insane
5 goals in one period is insanity
If the Oilers can control their sticks, there's no way Dallas is winning this series π
the stars got me hype , glad to see them comeback because im not gonna lie , my tv was close to changing but something told me stay right there and im glad i did. 1 down 3 more to go.
the best series!!! EVER

Thought your coverage has been great. Not a stars fan per se, but have enjoyed watching the Oilers show their form a bit this year. Looking forward to Game 2, Game 1 was a lot more physical than I thought they were going to be. Cheers
The Oilers thought they would take a page from the Maple Leafs playbook for the third period.
the new NHL caps look stoopid with that weird diagonal clip-strap. Look how much skin you can see through the empty ones? So dumb. Who comes up with this shite?
Nothing means anything this early. Everyone in the game by now are there for a reason, itβs not going to be easy for any of these teams
LOOOOSER MCDAVID CAN"T score
LOOOOSER MCDAVID should stick to making TV COMMERCIALS π π
Let's face it the poor penalty killing ruined the oilers … Remember when it was 3-1, Edmonton hit the post and almost made it 4-1, They get that goal there & they win!
Lakers, err,, STARS in 5. π
Looking forward to the Stars v Panthers finals. Thiose 2 teams are just…deadly…
Oilers won't win the big one with 29 and 97
Go stars
I get the Kane high stick but isn't a rule if the victim of the penalty is responsible for that stick hitting his face the penalty now becomes void? cause you can clearly see duchene propel Kane's stick into his own face.
Oilers seen Toronto choke and said hold my oil barrel
Maybe stop getting so many penalties
Dallas in four!
They managed to contain McDavid
Glad you watch the games and not just the highlights afterwards
So typical at the end of these kinds of games when the losing team decides, yea we are going to start a fight at the end of the game because we are sore losers, message sending, whatever… blah. π©π
Why don't you put that effort and emotion into winning the game in the first place or do it during the game when there is time to change the outcome. π‘
Check game 2
