  1. I don't think we count as overlooked anymore. I don't care much about rankings, but I heard someone say today that the Skins have the best roster in the NFL. Not sure how you decide something like that, but just the fact that someone – anyone – said it without being sarcastic is really something…

  2. I get Fowler. He had a statistically very good season and wants to cash in. This was his best chance at it. But he's still not really a fit in DC because he just doesn't defend the run. That's what killed us against the Eagles, as well as being generally undersized to deal with them even if Fowler was interested in it. I might be wrong, but my early take is that Philly are flipping football back around after three decades of pass happiness. You need run D to stop them, but probably also a return to big defenders in the long run. And particularly if you're in the NFCE with them. And Kinlaw is a lot larger than Jon Allen, so we've already started. Again, not sure. And it'll take three-five years to fully turn the roster over on defense anyway. Still, it's what I definitely feel like is happening.
We did get blown the F out in the NFC final, and generally get worn out by them even when we're not and collapse ignominuously in the fourth. Steps must be taken!

  3. I definitely think Dan Quinn is kinda slept on for how good he is at getting the best out of who he has. Him and Kingsbury are an awesome combination and Dan makes guys want to run thru walls for him. I hope Kinlaw and Wise show out for him. They have the ability. Im super stoked for this upcoming season. They might not have gotten "name" players but they did get some dogs and with DQ coaching, they should be more than fine

  4. Great take and coverage of the lesser covered teams in the league. I've been a NFL fan all my life and just like fashion, both sides ( offense and defense) game plans are cyclical. Funny to hear you say chewing up the clock and limiting possessions is coming back "in style." Ground and pound teams were everywhere in the late 70's through the 90's, Earl Campbell and the Oilers, Larry Czonka and the Dolphins, Riggins and the Redskins to name a few. Only when the league changes most of the rules to hinder the defense and aid particularly QBs and WRs did coaches change their game plans to take advantage of it.
I disagree with your take on Brian Robinson, although I understand where you're coming from. IMHO, any player's best ability is availability, and Robinson has been wildly inconsistent. Depending on who shows out better over the summer (either Merritt or Lane) is where I'd bolster the roster. If Robinson or a WR like KJ Osborn falter I would immediately " kick the tires" on a depth player like Nick Chubb or Amari Cooper to fill the void.

  5. Skins fan went to Detroit with my boys to see the destruction. Lions fans were so cocky, got growled at by a chick. She left by 3rd qtr. fans chanting jarred golf prior to game, chant ended by 1st qtr.

  6. Thats brady always did he kept his offense on schedule, although capapble of the homerun. Rarley a negative play. Rarely turmed it over.

  7. You are correct about chewing clock being devastating, however thats only one aspect of the game. We did that bc our line was weak and the ball had to get out fast. With the improved line and better recievers, youll see more deep shots, which will open up more underneath and in the run game too. You'll see more deep shots on 3rd and shorts and hopefully bootlegs too.

  8. Putting Daniels behind Hurts is a joke

Jedi5 was the 3rd best QB in the NFL last season behind only Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen

  9. No matter how much time you take to score the other team automatically gets the ball next lol

You can't "limit" another teams possessions without limiting your own

  10. Thanks for the Commanders coverage. It should be a fun year. Tough schedule but great games. Looking forward to the Lions rematch.
