Let’s talk about the Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds today. And my concept here is lowhanging fruit. And it’s a mistake that I make to this day when it comes to betting. Don’t be afraid of the easy stuff. Don’t be afraid of the stuff that jumps off the page. And we look at Kansas City right now. All right. Kansas City is going through some issues. Cincinnati KC, I’m seeing the Reds slight road favorites minus 115US 120. Total has been bet down to 7 and a half. And I’ll tell you what, the lowhanging fruit here is the total. Certainly the Kansas City side of the equation. All right, the Royals lineup isn’t producing much right now. They scored two and four runs the first two games of this series. Uh KC 15 to9 to the under in May. But look at their portion of the equation. All right. They’ve scored two runs or less 12 times this month. And then they’ve scored three runs four times. So 16 of their games have been three runs or less. 16 of the last 24 three runs or less. It’s a KC lineup that lacks punch. They’ve got one hitter that everyone’s afraid of. Bobby Wit. Oops. Bobby Wit seven for 41. He’s hitting 177 over the last 10 games. And today they’re facing Hunter Green, a legit ace. Now, Green had one bad start all year at Baltimore. He gave up three dingers in that ball game. And another start in Colorado. Frankly, I throw a lot of the numbers from Colorado out, but he gave up two dingers in that game. The Reds still won. His other seven starts, Hunter Green this year, incredible numbers. 40.2 2 innings of work, 19 hits allowed, 51 strikeouts, six runs allowed. Not earned runs, runs. All right, 40.2 innings, seven outings, 51 Ks, 19 hits, six runs. There are, however, issues for Green. Two starts ago, he strained his groin. He was pulled after three innings. Then he sat on the DL. Last time out, he came back. He struggled with his command a little bit. He faced 17 batters, 83 pitches. He got pulled after four innings. his quote afterwards. Quote, “I felt good. I just wanted to go in and compete. We’re projecting forward.” I would expect that we’re going to see more vintage Hunter Green today. Certainly, they’re expecting a longer route. I mean, he was on a pitch count last time. That won’t be the case here. And he’s facing a lineup that can’t hit their way out of a wet paper bag right now. Advantage Hunter Green. of course uh last time out he pitched well enough Chicago when the bullpin got bombed behind him since he’s still five and two his last seven starts and this is a lineup whose bats are clicking right now seven seven eight six in their last five games and they’ve gone five and0 to the over stepping in front of that from Cincinnati when the lineup is clicking and the total here has already been bet down a little bit I’m not going to play a full game under because I believe in Cinc he’s best and look we like the KC rookie lefty Noah Cameron. We like him a lot. Boy, he’s been great in his first three big league starts. 19 innings of work, seven hits, two runs allowed. It’s his first three big league starts. All the pressure, all the eyeballs, no problems. And both of those have come on solo shots. There have been zero rallies against this guy. He walked five in his debut. His last two starts, 11 strikeouts, one walk. and Royals manager M Canaro quote they’ve been impressive starts all three of them but the last one was the best of the bunch so he’s getting better not worse we’re not talking about elite bullpens here on either side and Casey and Cincy’s lineup has been clicking so how do we play this lowhanging fruit for this matchup I’ll talk about in just a second let me promote real simple May’s been a real good month guys for myself for my clients. They’re more difficult to hit than opposing righties. We believe in Green, excuse me. We believe in Cameron. Casey’s not hitting since he’s hitting better, but I don’t know. They’re going to pound this lefty right off the gate. I would look for first five innings under in this one. Let’s take the bullpens out of the equation. Let’s take the give the Royals lineup only half a game or the RA the Reds lineup only half a game. Uh and get plus money at under three and a half right now. And again, three and a half’s a low number, but I do not expect crooked numbers on the scoreboard early in this one.
