I think going down 0-3 to Florida was a blessing in disguise, because nothing has rattled this group in the playoffs.
"Oh, we're down 0-2 to the LA Kings? That's okay, we'll just rattle of 4 straight to win in 6."
"Guys, we lost Game 3 against Vegas with 0.4 seconds left. So we're just going to go ahead and blank them in Games 4 and 5 to win the series."
"Um…so our PK went 1/4 in Game 1 vs Dallas, and we blew a 3-1 lead in that game to lose 6-3. But don't worry, we're just going to out score them 13-2 in the next three games. Oh and in Game 5, we're going to jump out to an early 3-0 lead, and then subsequently take back any momentum the gain by scoring almost immediately after they do."
The philosophy of this group right now seems to be, "end the series as quickly as possible" Hell, aside from the aforementioned 0.4s and 1/4 PK, they would've swept Vegas and Dallas.
Now does all of this mean they'll win the cup? Eh, probably not. But I can't see this group going down 0-3 to Florida again.
