The day we’ve all been waiting for. Uh for some of you maybe it was two months too late. For some of you it’s two or three months too early. But we know now, per Jeff Passen, the Royals have finally promoted Jack Kaggleon from Triple A Omaha. In my opinion, far earlier than I ever could have anticipated. We are talking about June 1st, folks, this guy was drafted less than a year ago, and now he’s going to be in the lineup on Tuesday night at Bush Stadium for the I70 series. I had my my predictions. You probably heard them on this show before. I had late June. I felt that the perfect timeline would have been uh June 24th. The Royals had their final home stand of June against the Rays and the Dodgers. Felt it was a good time with the off day on Monday and then Omaha was going to be off on a long road trip beginning in Indianapolis. And it felt like that would be the time you get them back at Kaufman Stadium. You can have big crowds for the Rays series and then you’d have close to sellouts against the Dodgers. Even if Jack Kegleion wasn’t in Kansas City, you’d have a pretty big turnout for that series. Now, I have no doubt in my mind that’ll be one of the more viewed series among Royals fans all season long. But instead, you go about 3 weeks early and he is going to be joining this team for their road trip that involves St. Louis and then Chicago. And then they’re going to have an off day on Monday. I was actually talking with Royals beat reporter, the KC star Jaylen Thompson tonight before Sunday sound off on uh channel 41 here in Kansas City that there’s an off day every single Monday. So that’s good for everybody to have a reset, but it also opened the the door for many opportunities in which you could call up Jack Kagleon. So next Monday and well tomorrow they’ll have an off day as well. So you have to wait a little bit longer to see Jack in a Royals uniform, but still you can wait one more day if you’ve waited two months. But next week they will have an off day on Monday and then his Kaufman Stadium debut will be against the New York Yankees and I haven’t checked the ticket prices just yet. That’ll be a hot ticket around around Kansas City. And that is going to be a hot ticket even if he doesn’t play well in this first road series. But here’s why I think they made the move. Um, and I was going to talk about this on Monday afternoon. Speaking of tomorrow, they have an off day. It felt that it would be a good time to break down this offense. It was a disappointing series against the Tigers, a series they needed to win to keep pace uh with the top team in the Central. Still, they’re two games out of second place. Um, I really feel that for some people out there that feel it’s all doom and gloom, it’s the end of the season, they’re they’re never going to do it, they’re two games out of the top wild card spot in the American League. There are a lot of teams that are bunched up. So, even with all these offensive struggles, we know they are absolutely still in contention, but the Tigers dominance has skewed the image of how dire it really is. But it didn’t mean that I was going to breeze over that series and say what they did offensively was still acceptable. It just wasn’t. They got six runs in the series. And against a really good offense, they gave up one run in the final two games. Against that damn good offense in Detroit, they gave up one run in 18 innings. So really impressive stuff. Once again, the pitching staff was able to to put out there, but offensively they scored one run and they were shut out today. And in a perfect world, JJ Pako could have gotten his wish. Jack Kaggleó joins this team when the offense is just firing on all cylinders. They’re putting up five or six runs a game. They’re on a hot streak and he just gets to jump into the lineup and it’s all fun in games from here on out. The reality is this was the move they had to make to shake things up. You’re running out of names to pull from in Omaha to show that what you’re doing so far just isn’t okay. I I want to bring up this story that Ryan Lef Fever was going over this weekend because it was Mike Mustagus’ retirement ceremony and I feel it is very symbolic of what this move represents. When Mike Mustakus was in a Royals uniform, he was always seen as that fiery, passionate guy. Like he was very intense, very competitive. And what Ryan Lefever said, he loved about him. And he was one of those guys when he first got called up that just was not okay with losing, was not okay with that style of play. And he would let people know about it. Like in a good way, of course, but he would be pissed off. He’d be fiery about certain things. and he was somebody that went through struggles of his own. But the part the part I want to highlight here is that he thought this is not okay of what we’re doing. The play we are putting out there is not what we are capable of or our highest standards are capable of. You know, we are a team that should be better than this. And that’s why I tie it into tonight cuz this is what that move felt like. We can’t keep doing this. This is unacceptable to waste these starts from a great pitching staff and to waste strong outings from the bullpen and you’re just sputtering around offensively. Like they called up Nick Loftton. They called up John Rave. They got rid of, you know, MJ Melendez or I shouldn’t say get rid of, they demoted MJ Melendez. They got rid of Hunter Renfro, right? They demoted Cavin Big Bio. They are pulling guys up from Omaha to spark something. But the difference is, as much as I love Nick Loftton and the promotion that he got, as excited as I was for John Raave to get his chance, those are not the same moves as calling up Jack Kaggle. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect him to come up and set the world on fire. There are going to be struggles. I mean, he fasttracked his way to the big leagues, and that’s putting it lightly. I mean, he was barely in Triple A at all. He was there for a week, two weeks tops, and here he is. And I believe this move was made cuz they just had to. They can’t go out there and make a trade that we’re all hoping for on June 1st. No selling team is going to be that eager to trade somebody unless you are willing to give up a top prospect and you are that desperate because if you’re desperate now you’re going to be desperate in July. This was the move they had to make. There was no other option. And I understand there will be people saying they rushed him and if he struggles in this St. Louis series and in Chicago, they did it all wrong. They they shouldn’t have done this. This is disastrous. And now he’s never going to be the player we all think he could be. Look, the Royals are going to try to make the postseason this year. And Jack Kaggleon makes them better. And quite honestly, this gives the front office more time to evaluate what this offense is really like with Kags in the lineup. Like I said, it would have been a perfect scenario to have this team clicking and he gets to jump into the mix and just go off from there. That’s not the reality. He’s not going to be the savior, but he’s the best option they have at the minor league level to spark something offensively. And even if he’s hitting 205, 210 in the first couple weeks, what his gamechanging ability is is putting the ball over the fence. Something the Royals cannot do and haven’t done all season long. And until Bobby Wit Jr. and Salvador Perez and Vinnie Pascantino tap into that power again. They desperately need somebody in the lineup that can do it. Today is a perfect perfect game to look to as to why this move needed to be made. They’re down one to nothing from the third inning on. And yet every time they needed to rally, they needed three hits to get it done. Think about that. three hits to drive in one run. That’s what it’s been like with this offense. Now, you bring in Kaggle Leone and even though he has not had a big league at bat just yet, he by far and away has the most power on the team, he gives you that chance with one swing of the bat to flip the game on its head, to tie things up. And that’s why I believe it was a driving force today to see this offense just pop up, roll over to second, lazy one hoppers. Nobody came close to putting one over the fence. Jack Kaggleon can do that. I know we’re all excited. Definitely leave your thoughts below on the YouTube page, leave them below on Twitter, and we’ll continue to talk about him throughout this week. Not sure yet uh if we’ll have an episode tomorrow. might just use this to fill in for Monday because it is an off day and this of course will be the biggest news until the game on Tuesday. At least I’m hoping it is so we don’t have to have another emergency pod. But again, let us know the comments. Let us know if you’re going to be going to the game in St. Louis. We’d love to see as many videos as possible of the Royals top prospect in Jack Kaggleon making his debut on Tuesday night. Let’s take our first break of the show. When we come back with Kagleon getting promoted, who’s going down? I’ll give you a few options on my mind next on Locked on Royals. You are tuned in to Lockdown Royals in the Lockdown podcast network. I’m your host Jack Johnson and you can follow me on Twitter or XJ_15. The next question we have to dive into with the news of Jack Kagleion getting called up tonight per Jeff Passim is who’s going to be the roster casualty? And in my head, I’ve got a clear front runner. We’ll tell you why in a couple of the options. Um, but first things first, uh, if you are pro-Jack Kaggleon coming up, I would love to hear your opinions in the the YouTube comments below. I would love to hear even some of the people that are against this and feel it is reckless and is going to ruin the development. I want to get both sides to this because even in the times we’ve talked about Jack Kagleion, it has not been 100% pro Jack Kaggleon. There have been commenters that said it doesn’t make any sense to do it and he needs his time and he needs to develop. And I’m just glad now we can talk about him as he’s on the roster. I don’t need to take time away from talking about the Royals. This is locked on Royals, not locked on stormchasers or locked on naturals. Like now we can talk about him because he’s here. We no longer have to speculate as to when he’ll get called up. And with the news of him getting called up, somebody’s got to go down, right? Somebody has to make their way to Omaha. And you’re out of obvious options in terms of the Hunter Renfro and the Cavan Big Bios and you know, maybe it could be Mark Cana. I’ve thought about that as well. Uh Cana hitting about 264 and I would be against that considering, you know, Mark Cana has sparked this offense a few times. He’s done better than a few guys on the roster, but he would be the easiest pick. He’s not my front runner, though. But Mark Cana has to be on this list. He doesn’t play every single day. He’s an outfielder. Jack Kagleon is going to be getting outfield reps. So, the question becomes, where are you going to put Mark Cana? You know, when are you going to play Mark Kana? I would keep him simply for the fact that he can be a pinch hitter off the bench and facing lefties late in the game and he can be your platoon right-hander against lefties for as long as you can, you know, keep him there until he shows that he’s just unplayable. You can keep him there as one of your bench bats, which is why I imagine he will stay. The second option on this list, unfortunately, would be John Rave. And I would hate for that to happen. I I’m the only reason I say that is cuz Nick Loftton’s not going back down. Um but John Rave being another outfielder, somebody that did get, you know, starting reps in this first home stand and until today was hitting sub 100 and he had the single to center field and then he had the crackbat infield single. So he had a multi-it game and then to hit a ball hard in the ninth inning and had a little bit of bad luck, it was a great play by Will Vest. Still, it’s not that he’s come up to Kansas City and set the world on fire. And the only reason, in my opinion, he would get optioned back down. It’s cuz he’s an outfielder and Nick Loftton is staying here. And John Rave kind of becomes that question mark of he might need to go back down. The clear front runner in my opinion is Michael Massie. Uh Massie today just wasn’t good. He was the final out. It was a swinging bunt. And Michael Massie hasn’t just been, you know, one of the worst hitters on the team, if not the worst hitter on the team. He’s been one of the worst hitters in all of baseball. And we’ve seen this with the Royals. MJ Melendez in the month of of April. He just couldn’t get anything going. Power wasn’t there. Striking out over 40% of the time, defense wasn’t good. He had to go down to Omaha to get right. And that’s what I’m envisioning for Michael Massie. And here’s another part to this. With Kaggleó coming up, Jonathan India has got to play second base or DH. And if Jonathan India is dhing, Nick Loftton’s playing second base. You’ve got guys now that can take over that spot. And I I truly believe it’s not to, you know, come down hard on Michael Massie. He’s got to get right. And right now, he’s not right at the plate. He knows that. Everybody knows that. We’re just looking at basic numbers here. He cannot be slugging sub 300 and getting on base less than 230 and hitting near 200. That’s just not a guy you can play every single day. I still can believe in Michael Massie and I feel that the best version of this team has him at second base because of his defense and because he can be a league average bat. Right now though, he’s not helping the team and trying to fix things at the big league level and alter stuff at the big league level. It is a lot harder than people think. It’s why I believe they sent MJ back down. He was trying to tinker with the stance again and he just was getting overmatched over and over and over again. And with Massie, you’re seeing the same thing. And even when he does have a multi-hit game, they’re just no soft singles. He’s not really hitting the ball with any authority. and maybe the back’s flaring up. Maybe something else is wrong. I know he was scratched from the lineup with the ankle soreness, wasn’t he? Um, going back to earlier in the home stand, but that that’s a part of his game that needs to get right. Speaking offensively, and with Kaggleó coming up, I’d imagine he’ll be in right field or dhing or playing first base. And I don’t see Jonathan India playing left field. I see Drew Waters there or I see Mark Cana there or I see Nick Loftton there at second base. I see India or Nick Loftton there. There are just options now on this team. And that’s why I believe Michael Massie needs to go get right. And this feels like it’s the perfect time to make that switch. Just take some pressure off of Massie. allow him to go down to Omaha, get everyday reps, fix what needs to be fixed, and then have him join the team a month or two down the road, assuming that he picks things up. Cuz if he does that, then he has some confidence and some some momentum coming back to Kansas City, something he didn’t have at any point in the regular season. He had the confidence from spring training, but we all know spring training doesn’t carry over. And as I will continue to point out, I was dead wrong with my preseason prediction. I thought that he would be one of those bats to come in and really build off what he did last year. He’s healthier, a full spring training, he’s got an everyday job. You can hit him a little bit lower in the order. Just hasn’t worked out that way. It’s been the worst season of his big league career. And the clock was just ticking after April. He had time to turn things around and he had a stretch or two where he was getting hot a little bit, but it was not sustainable. It was never long enough in the end. I I just feel this is the best move for the team. I mean, those are the likely options you can send back down to Omaha. You’ve run out of the the obvious picks as we brought up when you had, you know, Hunter Renfro and you had Cavio and in the bullpen, right? You had Chris Stratton and Sam Long. Now you got to make a little bit more of a a complicated decision. I I should say the Royals do not want to give up on Michael Massie. And even though, you know, every single episode we’ll get a comment or two about why is Michael Massie still on the roster? Why is he still in the lineup? Why is Q playing him close to every day? This feels like a perfect opportunity just to reset things. Let this offense have a new spark. Uh, put somebody in the lineup that can drive the ball out of the yard. let Michael Massie go down to Omaha, take a bit of a back seat, get things right at the plate, get things right mentally, and then hopefully he can join the Royals again with a a new look or a a different feel at the plate where if Michael Massie goes down and hits 330 and he gets called up, we’ll probably look at him like we did with Nick Loftton or Cam Deainy or John Rave where all right, he’s showing that that AAA pitching is no longer a match for him. Let’s see if he can do it this goound in Kansas City. I don’t know if that would be in July. I don’t know if that would be in August. He would have to go down and hit. But first things first, we got to see who the move actually is. I’m saying all these things about Michael Massie. It might be Mark Cana. It might be John Rave. Definitely let us know below who you think the roster move is going to be. Let’s take our final break of the show. When we come back, where should Jack Kaggleó hit in the lineup? I’ve got a few thoughts and probably not going to be right in the end. I’ve got a perfect spot in the lineup where I feel he’d have the most protection. I also fully expect the Royals to go in the opposite direction. I’ll tell you why next on Locked on Royals. You are tuning to Locked on Royals in the Locked On Network. I’m your host, Jack Johnson, and you can always check out our podcast on wherever you listen to podcast. That’s Spotify, Apple Podcast, Amazon Music, Google Podcast Odyssey, and YouTube. Just be sure to hit the follow button and subscribe. As you know by now, Jack Kaggleó has officially been promoted from Triple A Omaha. Maybe I shouldn’t say officially. It’s been reported and confirmed. We just don’t know the roster move just yet. I’d imagine the Royals will make it tomorrow uh just because the news is so big of Jack Kagleon getting promoted. Definitely took me by surprise. I was sitting here uh just kind of hanging out at my house and wasn’t expecting any breaking news at 900 p.m. on a Sunday night, but that’s the way it usually goes, right? Um and Jack Kaggleó gets the call and the Royals have the off day tomorrow where they can maybe answer a few more questions. Maybe they wait to make the roster move until Tuesday because it does happen mostly like that. But also, when you have a player of this caliber, a player that everybody’s talking about, I’m not sure you can wait to make that move until Tuesday. So, maybe we get it tomorrow, maybe we get it Tuesday. But with the talk of Tuesday and now everybody’s kind of conjuring in their mind what lineup uh it might look like or what the lineup will look like on Tuesday night. I’ve decided to put together a makeshift lineup on on the fly. I fully expect this to be incorrect uh just because I have a certain idea as to why it would work, but I’m sure Matt Cat Matt Cotero and uh you know, Alex Zoomwald and everybody in the Royals coaching staff have a plan in place. I’m sure even JJ MCO has a plan in place or at least an idea to where he’ll hit, where they want him to play. All of that stuff is going to be figured out on Tuesday night. probably Tuesday afternoon cuz the game’s at 6 something and then 2 or 3:00 we’re going to get the lineup. I feel he’s going to get the start in right field. So, I’ll get that out of the way. I would say it’s either going to be right field or DH. Sounds very simple. I’m not going out on a limb with that. The only reason I would say he could DH is that you get him maybe more acclimated to the game. You’re not putting immediate pressure and say, you know, go play right field in the big leagues and you’re on the road. You’re dealing with a big crowd, a crowd you have never seen before in your life of that magnitude. I know he was at the College World Series and there are big crowds there. This is a full, you know, probably sold out crowd at Bush Stadium and you’re playing a position you just started learning this year. Uh so I could see them dhing uh in the first game. I also can see the the other side to this where you dh him, all of that pressure goes on hitting, right? where if you’re in right field or you’re you’re playing first base, hey, I go 0 for four in my big league debut, but I made some plays. I caught a few fly balls. I threw out somebody at second. I made a few picks at first base. You DH him, the only thing that’s going to matter in his debut is what he does at the plate. So, my official prediction is that he’s going to be in right field. I’d imagine he’s going to be in right field. Vinnie’s going to be at first. DH is where I’m not quite sure. I could see Nick Loftton dhing and Jonathan India at second or Jonathan India will be the DH and Loftton could play second. As I said, I’ve kind of already hinted at the fact that I think Michael Massie is going to be the demotion and not Mark Cana or um John Rave. I also believe Mark Cana would have to be a DFA candidate. It might be the same thing that happened with Cavin Bigio where he would have to accept the minor league, you know, option there to go down and play in Triple A Omaha. And I don’t believe Mark Can because he has played better than Bishio did. But doesn’t really matter who’s going to DH or at second base. I feel that Jack Kaggleon’s going to be in right field. My hope is that they put him in the lineup where he’s got protection ahead of him and they have protection behind him. So, you’ll have Jonathan India leading off. You’ll have Bobby Whit Jr. hitting in the two-hole. You’ll probably have Vinnie hitting in the three-hole. Salvador Perez is probably going to be the cleanup guy, even though I feel the best spot for him would be fourth or would be fifth. Here’s why. If you have Jack Kaggleó hitting fourth, you know, Vinnie Pasquantino, it doesn’t have to go anywhere. And he’s been one of your hotter hitters of late. I also could see a great way of thinking of let’s move Vinnie down to the cleanup spot. He’s been one of your better hitters. He’s been hitting better than Bobby Wood Jr. Why not hit Jack third? You’ve got Bobby Wood Jr. ahead of him and you’ve got one of your hottest hitters hitting behind him. So you’re not going to just pitch around Jack Kaggleon to get Deini Pascantino with the way he’s hitting and Bobby Whit Jr. might get more hitable pitches because you’ve got a serious threat to put the ball over the fence behind him. That would give him the most protection. You hit him fourth. Okay, Vinnie’s hitting ahead of him. So you’ve got somebody that could be on base for you. And then behind him, even though Salvador Perez is not having a typical Salvador Perez season, we even saw in the Detroit series, he got intentionally walked so that they could face Mel Garcia. Batting average-wise, their best hitter, even though Bobby Wit Jr., despite the slump, is their best player and best hitter. Statistically, Mike Garcia has had a better year to date. You could also hit him fifth, and that’s where I believe it’s far more likely than fourth or third. You hit him fifth, you get the lefty, righty, lefty with Vinnie, Salvi, and Kagleion. You have Garcia go down to sixth. That gives the protection there. And there has been that that lol in the middle of the order at times. Now you’re getting Vinnie to heat up. Mel Garcia was redot in the month of May. Who knows? Maybe Salvador Perez can get more hitable pitches if they’ve got a serious power threat behind him. And Michael Garcia, credit where credit’s due, he’s hitting over 300. He’s turning in a career year. But I do feel that sometimes when pitchers are facing Salvador Perez, they’re going, “Well, if we put him on or I mean, it’s very few times he’s going to walk, right? He’s going to swing at pretty much everything.” But let’s say the thought process is we’re going to throw everything away and Salvi spits on all of them. Very unlikely. Let’s say for this hypothetical, he gets to first base. Well, Mike El Garcia is up, but you have a base cloggger at first base and Mikel Garcia is probably not putting the ball over the fence. That’s where Jack Kaggleó comes into play. He’s got Salvi ahead of him and he’s got some protection behind him and Mikel Garcia. So, fifth to me feels like a really good spot for him. A rund driving spot, a power spot. You put Garcia one spot lower in the order, so it gives the bottom of the lineup some extra pop. But that’s where it feels like you can really make uh a home for him right field hitting fifth and that’s going to be the lineup the majority of the time. I could also see him hitting sixth because you have your typical five India Wit Pascantino Salvi and Mel one through five and it’s been that way for a long time. Then you get to the six hole that’s where you can still call it a run driving spot. When you get to 7 8 9 you know you’re the bottom of the ore. Sixth is that in between if you will. You’re not in the top half. You’re not quite in the middle. You’re trending toward the bottom half but you’re not there just yet. If that makes any sense at all. My issue with sixth is that you don’t give him much protection at the bottom of the order. It gives the bottom of the order some extra pop, but if Drew Waters is hitting behind him, Drew Waters has had a career year. He’s been hitting well. But I feel that you could give him better protection with Garcia hitting behind him and it gets Salvi more pitches to hit. Mike El Garcia is not struggling with getting pitches to hit and he’s done a great job this year at laying off some unhitable pitches, but I want Jack Kaggleon in a run driving spot. To me, that’s fifth. And I feel Mike Garcia can hit just about anywhere in this lineup. You can put him sixth, you can put him ninth, you can put him lead off. He’s going to hit. But you need some serious pop, some serious thunder in the middle of the order. To me, that’s fifth. Perfect World, you could hit him third. You’ve got Bobby ahead of him. You get Pascantino fourth with the way that Salvi’s been playing. You move everybody back one spot. My official lineup prediction. Again, I fully expect to be wrong and Mattro to surprise me and surprise a lot of people out there, but I believe Indie will be leading off and playing second base on Tuesday night. Bobby Wood Jr. will be in the two-hole. He’ll be at shortstop. I will have Vinnie Pascantino playing first and hitting third. Salvador Perez will be cleaning up and doing the catching. Fifth will be Mel Garcia playing third base. Jack Kaggleon will be in right, he’ll be hitting sixth. I will then have Drew Waters hitting seventh and he will be playing left field. Nick Loftton will be dhing, he will be eighth. And then Kyle Lisb will be hitting ninth and playing center field. That’s my official prediction. Like I said, I fully expect to be wrong and we’ll see what real lineup actually comes out on Tuesday afternoon when the Royals begin game one of the I70 series in St. Louis. Again, the big news of tonight, Jack Kaggleó gets promoted from AAA Omaha. Well, that’s going to do it for another edition of Lockdown Royals and the Lockdown Podcast Network. I have been your host, Jack Johnson. As for tomorrow, not sure just yet if we’re going to do an episode considering we just did a very late one tonight, but we’ll see what type of news breaks and who knows, we could always be bringing you one on Monday and still have our nor normal Monday through Friday for next week. But until tomorrow or Tuesday, you take it easy, Kansas City.

We react to the massive news that the Royals are promoting Jac Caglianone from Triple-A Omaha. We also debate who Kansas City will be sending down as the corresponding move. Lastly, where in the order will Caglianone hit?

  1. After two pitching gems for the ages 1-0(Wacha) & 0-1(Bubic)… JJ and Q are running out of options being double digit games back & 4th place. Yes they are 2 gms out of the last wild card, the Royals are about to face some of the best teams on their schedule and they are putting up big numbers. The pitching staff has to be shaking their heads. They (the brass) will next have to make a trade move or be sellers, waiting for 2026.

  2. Had to bring him up at this point for the reasons you stated early. Offense is too stagnant and he’s just the best spark plug to fit into the lineup now. I think he’s built for the big stage and our outfield production was going to be bad without him so why not try to see if it can improve with him at this point

  3. Actually, you talked me into it. Makes me sad, cause I'm a big Massey guy… but I think you're right. He makes the most sense. I hope he goes to Omaha and gets right.

  4. I agree that Massey is getting sent down. It is way overdue. With Cags, it’s definitely earlier than I expected. I had predicted a couple of weeks ago that it would be July 8. Boy was I wrong….lol. I think they will sit down with him and explain to him to not put too much pressure on himself and he doesn’t have to hit .330 and a HR every game for us ect. And explain to him that if he starts out 4 for 20 to make sure he doesn’t get too worried or down on himself and it will only be a matter of time before he breaks out. I’ll be more than happy if he is hitting .275 for us and hitting a few home runs.

  5. They're desperate for any pop at all, so they're rolling the dice. They have to give him a long runway if they're going to do this, no matter how much swing and miss there is, and there's going to be a lot. But they can't continue as is.

  6. There’s no reason to keep him Dow right now. He’s got really nothing else to develop down there. Pitchers are pitching around him and nothing is challenging him. He needs to develop in a big league box with a big league arm on the mound. Fielding wise he has work to do but we had renfroe out there for nearly 2 months

  7. If it isn't Massey then they're wrong. It's not like he's on a big contract plus he has options. Let him work on stuff.

  8. I am a new baseball fan so I didn't watch Bobby's first two years in the league. I'm hoping someone can answer these two questions:
    1. How does Jac compare to Bobby as far as pure pedigree as a prospect goes?
    2. Was there this much hype and anticipation around Bobby's big league debut?

  9. The only reason I would send down Massey instead of Rave is if you think Massey would be able to become a better player if he takes some time in AAA. Rave has not been impressive in his first few games. I totally understand if you think he just needs a slightly longer runway before we can pass judgement, but I think it was good for him to get a taste of the big leagues, and then maybe on his next stint up with the Royals, he can find a way to stick, like Loftin and Waters have done.

  10. If your prospect works out and your pitching staff stays healthy it’s going to very fun in the Central coming down the stretch. I know for fact after this weekend the Tiger fans are more worried about the Royals than Guardians & Twins . You guys have SP rotation that can sweep teams if u find some offense
