  2. Even McJesus is superstitious. I love it! Gotta love the "logic", last year I didn't touch this thing and we lost the final round. This year I'm going to do it!

    It's like the Monty Python scene where they suspect a witch…. "how do we tell if she's a witch? Witches float in water. What else floats in water? Wood. So how can we tell if she's made of wood? Build a bridge out of her! Is there anything else which floats like wood? A duck! Yes, my good sir, who is so wise in yhe ways of science. Therefore, if she weighs the same as a duck… we know that she is…. made of wood… and therefore…. a witch!!!

  3. Back when I was a kid and I was still fairly certain that I would be captaining the Maple Leafs to their first cup since 1967, I had this thought that I would handle the Prince of Wales trophy with the reasonong being that we were there to take EVERYTHING.

  8. And they didn't last year and lost anyone that believes this is a moron. No one on either East or West touch the conference cup but every year one of the teams lose

  11. Lindros famously avoided touching the Eastern Conference Championship Trophy in 1997 and we all lnow how well that worked out for the Flyers.

  14. the no touching thing was stupid, showed a lot of copying to the panthers (who did it first that year), and I'm so glad they just decided to let it go.

  15. Big deal if he touched it. He didn't touch it last year and look what happened. Same thing goes for Crosby. He didn't touch it for 3 years…and lost the Cup 3 times. Then he touched it 3 times…3 Stanley Cups. It's all stupid superstition.

  16. I like how both teams have equal time off this time. What a tough road they both have gone down to get back to the finals and rematch. Going to be incredible to watch.

  17. Joe Sakic told Mackinnon to touch the damn thing when the Avs won. Was yelling last year and this for Mcdavid to do the same thing. Glad he did this year. As an Avs fan I’ll be rooting for you again Edmonton, 4 more wins and mission accomplished.

  28. I thought the whole point was don’t touch the trophy until you win the ultimate prize Stanley Cup don’t you jinx yourself now not trying to be the bearer of bad news but it’s not how old school hockey fan would call
