  1. Detroit can create more cap space by packaging second round picks for a team like Brooklyn to take a player like Simone. So its not just sign and trades potentially.

  2. I think Jalen Duren has the potential to be something special! Hes to young to give up on he needs a vet center that can mentor him

  3. Well the center who maximizes everybody is Wemby… Or Chet or Mobley.

Ultimately Cade doesn't really make sense with Ivey, Ausar & Holland is the problem.

Ivey can go either way but what makes sense for Cade and what makes sense are Ausar & Holland isn't the same thing so its going to be suboptimal

But Cade is the best player by a wide enough margin that what makes sense for him is what makes sense for the team. And to optimize Cade you want someone like Duren or Lively or AD who can be lob threat he needs.

And you also need that guy to be able to pass out of the short roll to maximize Ausar (otherwise he becomes unplayable on offense)

Is Duren ideal? No. Wemby, Chet, Mobley and Lively would all be preferable since they are better defenders and just as good rolling and passing

Also Naz & Turner have aren't great defenders either. Turner is a much better drop defender than JD but he struggles in space too. Naz is better in space than either but is the worst rebounder and rim protector of the three since he's really a 4
