The Thunder have not dropped a game to an East team at home in about 15 months. And have only dropped 1 game to an East team at all this season (2 if you count vs Bucks in IST Final). But this makes it interesting..

Edit: After some more skimming the last East team to win an away game vs the Thunder before this one were the Sixers in Nov 25th 2023. So Indiana is the only team to do this in the last 2 years.

  1. Watch the footage of that game. Despite the game clearly being over, Shai was fouling the Pacers so they could get free throws and he could get uncontested layups to hit his 30 point mark. It was pretty shameless.

  2. J Dub didn’t play it doesn’t count, now the last time they were fully healthy and lost at home to a east team was early 2023

  3. This series might look boring to anyone but i feel like we’re in for a legendary finals games

  4. Oh wow so 2 months ago

Oh shit….over a year ago? Okay that’s impressive

  5. I swear every single stat in OKCs favor is astronomically crazy. I know for a fact this series will be competitive, but stats say this is a sweep. Idk if there has ever been a finals where your gut says close series, but that stats say 4 or 5.

  6. Lot of people don’t know the pacers have the NBAs best record this calendar year

Edit: one of the best teams. NOT THE BEST. Only lost 5 more games than the Thunder including the playoffs in 2025.

  7. OKC fans are already getting as annoying as Knicks fans.

OKC definitely had an all time great season, 4th best all time. 2 of those teams didnt win in the finals.

Pacers had a pace of going for the second best record once the team got healthy, OKC is not playing a lottery team, but some of ya’ll seem to think they are.

OKC has the curse of the Sonics, a factor no one is mentioning

  8. No JDub, Giddey and Hayward in the starting lineup. Not much to take from this.

  9. For context

We went 29-1 vs the East last year

Our only loss was a single digit loss to the Cavs without Chet or Caruso

  10. a team from the east has a 3.3% chance of beating them wether at home or away.

    That’s a crazy stat.

But if any team can, it’s the ā€œangels in the backcourtā€ pacers

  11. I don’t understand how no one is even entertaining the pacers having a chance… the pacers are a very good team. They don’t really fall into the bad habits that our defense likes to exploit. They don’t over-dribble, they have great shooting/spacing, they have great pace, and hali takes care of the ball very well. They are also on an incredible run, and know how to come back from being down big. I really would not be surprised if this was a close series.

  12. I was going to say ā€œwell they haven’t played a team in the East for monthsā€ but then I saw ā€œ2024ā€ and thought, ā€œWTF?!ā€
