  1. Yeah, he really fucked that up bad. Publicly embarrassing the star players of one of the top 3-4 hockey teams on planet earth probably wasn’t a great strategy.

  2. Whole lot of smoke and mirrors. They’re gonna hold on to him unfortunately, he has one year left on his deal.

By his projections and past history, we miss the playoffs this year.

With this noise, i wouldn’t be surprised.

  3. Maybe DeBoer can get a job driving the bus he uses so often to throw his players under.

  4. Everyday that he isn’t fired after that debacle is astounding. They locked up their franchise goalie long term. Coach humiliated him.

One of them has to go. Choice is obvious. If they let this drag on the chances of a toxic locker room next year skyrocket. How did a bad locker room work for the Canucks this year?

  5. Can’t believe the team isn’t stoked that their coach tried to blame the WCF loss on his best player

  6. Sad when Avs fans have more respect and appreciation for Oettinger than his own head coach does

  7. Yeah, I’m not trusting Pagnotta.. everyone “reporting” on the Stars today are grasping at low hanging fruit because it’s easy engagement right now.

  8. Yk what, as far as the on ice calls go fuck it, the best players have off days and the same goes for coaches. Doubling down in the presser and throwing the team under the bus was INSANE and unnecessary. It sounded a bit like “old man shouts at cloud”

  9. Yup, he should have just said he pulled him early to wake up the team and left it at that. Even if he felt otherwise.

  10. Yeah cause he’s a sore loser who can’t take accountability for his decisions

  11. After throwing Oettinger under the bus after game 5, I figured he would be done. Even if he didn’t say that, you figured that after losing back to back conference finals, management or ownership might question whether or not he’s the right coach to get them over the hump. Sometimes it’s the players and sometimes it is the coach.

  12. No shit. You mean stating to the media that the 7/8 last WCF losses against Edmonton are solely because of Otter, the franchises beloved goalie, instead of of the team or coaches would backfire?

Fuck this dude. If the Stars ownership has any pragmaticism at all, they’ll get ahead of this and fire DeBoer. You can’t have your coach talk about him that way and not have some kind of reprocussions. This city just lost Luka Doncic because of a blowhard GM, and the fans abandoned the team in masses. If Stars ownership doesn’t do right by Otter here, they risk alienating the fan base in the same way. This fan base will not tolerate this unprofessional bullshit.

  13. There’s a reason this guy bounces around the League, like Laviolette

  14. 6 consecutive WCF appearance losses is not a small sample btw. Gotta fire DeBoer using his own logic.

  15. I couldn’t believe his comments after game 5. I thought people were just trolling for the sake of it when I saw the quote.
