Recently moved out of Manitoba but am still a jets fan
Being in Ontario, I’m worried that when the season starts again I won’t be able to watch the jets because of blackouts.
Bell shows I have access to the different sports nets except Sportsnet world and Sportsnet 360… should I be subscribing to one of these two to ensure I’ll be able to watch the games or should I ok with just having access to Sportsnet one?

I think TSN holds the regular season rights.
You’ll need sportsnet+ premium I believe. Not sure how this relates to your current subscription. It’s fairly expensive and basically gives you access to every nhl game because sportsnet holds the rights to all non-local Canadian viewers
There are always…alternatives…

Sportsnet+ or high seas are your options. Can’t comment on the latter, but I have been using Sportsnet+ in BC and AB for a few years now. Seeing as Rogers signed the rights for another decade or so, it will stay the same.
On the plus side: no cable, you can use multiple devices, so maybe splitting subscription cost with a friend or two is something to consider. Quality has improved in the past year, previously years you couldn’t watch a full game without stream freezing on you. You get access to most NHL games and all playoffs, so if you watch a lot of hockey, could be a better deal.
Negatives: pricey (I think it was about 260-280) for the year, but compared to cable could be a bargain? Don’t know, haven’t had cable pretty much ever.
There are still games that are only available elsewhere, I think Amazon Prime got rights to Monday games.
Blackouts: I don’t know why, but I haven’t had a single game blacked out despite being in Alberta. Could watch Jets vs Oilers and Flames without any issues. Not sure about Toronto, but otherwise would have used a VPN.
Edit: seems like there’s premium and standard, here’s a [link](https://secure.sportsnetplus.ca/pricing?utm_source=paidmedia&utm_medium=sem&utm_campaign=nhlscp&utm_term=brand&utm_content=nhlscp&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19971908600&gclid=CjwKCAjw3f_BBhAPEiwAaA3K5OqpwWpZaqWtqtP5vnohL38qVWoMTfBGB2s3fbnhICgnPg8WpoL2mBoC91gQAvD_BwE)
As a Jet fan living in Ontario, you need Sportsnet+ to view Jet games (and Amazon for Monday games)
Former Winnipeger, Lifelong Jets fan…currently living in AB. The majority of games are on TSN3 (which is blacked out). To see these, I subscribe to NHL Centre Ice. Then the remaining handful of games are on Sportsnet (like when they play the Oilers or Flames as Sportsnet holds their broadcast rights), etc.
Cost is about $200 for the season. Also gives access to all the other games as well.
Get IPTV. Cut the cord and I don’t have cable, Netflix, crave, etc and get all the shows still. Saves me a lot of $$$.
I literally got cable just for sports because I can’t stand trying to find reliable streams. I get NHL Centre Ice every year which is like $250. It gives you access to every game for every team including playoffs. And turns out I do watch more than sports on cable lol. But you could get the basic cable package with no added channels which is pretty cheap and get NHL Centre Ice to go with it.
That said, totally get that people don’t like cable and look for other methods. I just like the convenience of it all being available on my TV because the blackouts are a massive headache.
Manitoban living in Ontario, here. Buy Sportsnet+ for the year and watch every single Jets game that isn’t on Amazon. You’re not going to see the Jets on cable if you’re anywhere past Thunder Bay. With SN+ and a Prime account, I watched every single Jets game this season. And yes, SN+ shows the TSN Jets broadcasts.
using Pinibuy IPTV 60$ a year save more $ it’s great alternative
So I’m a jets fan living in Ottawa, I can 100% guarantee you, all the games that are on TSN? Forget them, you won’t be able to watch them, SN Games? You can, but TSN? Forget it
Welcome to my life. It’s gets even better! Sometimes, when the jets play Edmonton/Calgary/Vancouver it will be on Sportsnet West or Pacific *and be blacked out in Ontario*.
I bit the bullet and bought the centre ice package, but fuck these companies for making it so hard to watch out of market games.
I’m in Alberta and I couldn’t watch any Jets games on Sportsnet unless it was a nationally televised game. I had to subscribe to Sportsnet+ Premium in order to watch the Jets.
My FIL in Ontario subs to IPTV and gets all the games though.
But as others have mentioned…there are alternatives 🏴☠️
I subscribe to Teksavvy TV and get guaranteed Jets coverage on TSN3…Being from Ontario, anything Jets via web I find gets blocked. I’m sure there are better/cheaper options, but it works and I enjoy the TSN Jets commentary.
EDIT: Only big issue being you have to be on Teksavvy for internet.
Illegal streaming man. Only way to go.
If you get Sportsnet +, you’ll be fine.
