  4. HP, I just got into hockey this season and I've been loving the breakdowns to help me understand this game! I've been hoping the Oilers take the series from the start of the playoffs! Just had one question about this game, what do you think the reason is the Oilers couldn't get anything done in the 4v3 power play? It seemed like they could get the puck moving around but couldn't make anything happen. Thank you! Look forward to the next video!

  5. I think if florida doesnt figure out a fix to the penalty kill issue they lose

    I might not explain this well but when they force you to the wall, they are trying to have more men than you over there which caused them to get burned when they had 3 guys right against the wall and 1 guy in front of the net on no one doing nothing/not enough

    Edm will exploit that if possible

  22. My view of the game: Panthers three year trek is catching up to them. Their beginnings of games have been far superior to their third periods throughout the playoffs- Oilers, just the opposite. Florida was able to manage the softer opponents and pretty much hold their leads, but Edmonton is a different beast. Outshot in the last two periods 24-8, they were only able to muster any real push after the break between the third and the OT (I believe they shot their load in the first five minutes of the OT knowing that the longer the game went the bigger the disadvantage would be for them-). Putting the puck over the glass and then, subsequently, blowing the coverage down low on McDavid are both earmarks of being gassed. Losing, and especially losing a four period game one, does not bode well for them with a one day break before game 2. I expect Oilers to be the better team the later in the game it gets and the later in the series, as well. If you believe, as I do, that Florida was basically gifted two goals last night in the first period and yet still could not win then this could be a much shorter series than anyone expects.

  23. For Florida's first goal, that puck is hitting Skinner's right pad, if Bennett doesn't fall into him and literally push his pad out of the way! Then it goes into Bennett's skate too (which only happens if he is on the ice).

    Florida fortunate on two accounts there. Lucky bounce AND lucky not get that taken away.
