Atleast he wasn’t striking out was how I was putting it. He’s making contact.
I hope the team is telling him this because hes getting good contact, just his luck has been shit and you have to think that it’ll eventually change back in his favor at least for a game or two
He’s going to take his lumps. It’s the big leagues and he was fast tracked. But he can clearly hit the ball hard. Hopefully there’s enough guys who have been around the block in the clubhouse who can read the room and keep his head up.
Some day this guy is going to start hitting baseballs where there aren’t any defenders and it’s going to be armageddon for pitchers everywhere. He didn’t even barrel that lineout in the 9th and it was opposite field 110+ off the bat. When he actually extends on a pitch it’s going to be 125mph off the bat. I am so fucking mad that my team decided to pick an australian midget with minus defense at 2b instead of Big Jac.
“You can have the second coming of Mark McGwire at worst and potentially Aaron Judgetani at best, or Luis Valbeuna 2.”
“We opt for Luis Valbuena 2 because we accidentally and unnecessarily gave our horrible second baseman a massive contract, and now that it’s apparent that he blows incredibly hard we need to trade him and replace him before anyone else realizes he sucks.”
It’s going to come together at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later. What’s nice is how the rest of the teams bats have heated up a bit and when Jac starts not hitting it right at fielders it’s going to be on!
What’s up with the fielders turning into prime Arenado and Kiermaier every time he comes up to bat so fucking annoying
really the big concern involves the coaching/development around here trying to adjust him and screwing it up
Swinging at strikes and hitting it hard. He’s off to a good start, results be damned.
Does anyone have video of his lineouts? Have been looking for video of basically all his at bats
The bigs are making him earn it. No giveaways. He’s knocking it around and will make the necessary adjustments. Excited to see him get it going.
The largest leap in talent is AAA to Majors. Just wait it will happen.
Hits will come, still putting a lot on the ground right now. If he had gotten like 4 of his hard hit balls in the air over the last few games, he’d have 4 homers lol
