I ABSOLUTELY love this… – HUGE Sharks draft update
i absolutely love this as Michael Misa speaks to the media about his first meeting with the San Jose Sharks and calls it quote unbelievable which has a lot of Sharks fans fired up thinking he may fall to the Sharks at the number two overall selection We’re going to talk about everything Michael Misa coming up in this video Break down all the quotes and how an initial lineup would look like with him in it next season So you’re not going to want to miss this episode of Sharks Digest But before we dive into everything we got to say that 66% of you guys watching these videos aren’t subscribed to the channel So if you want to stay up on everything Sharks related heading into a very busy off season make sure down below and hit that subscribe button But like I said the San Jose Sharks had dinner with Michael Misa uh the other night for the first time and he sat down and spoke with Shangpang a really great reporter on the Sharks A great follow on Twitter for sure I will have the full article linked down in the description if you want to see everything We can’t touch on everything he said but we’re going to touch on the main points here in this video And this is what he initially had to say about this dinner Uh he said it was unbelievable very top class organization They’re all super welcoming really really nice people I was thrilled with that and it was more just casual Didn’t feel like an interview at all I think we talk about everything movies sports school it was great So hearing that you know Michael Misa is very um happy with the how the initial interaction went between management and him uh going very good is great for us Sharks fans because obviously you know a lot of Sharks fans are kind of 50/50 at this point either whether they want Michael Misa or whether they want Matthew Schaefer And just hearing that management is handling this situation well and meeting with these young guys and uh they’re making some great impressions on them uh is obviously great for the future of this franchise And it’s great that Michael Misa you know didn’t feel you know like he didn’t hate the interview he loved it So I think this guy he he wants to be a Sherk and I think this is just the initial stages of this thing Obviously they’re going to have a full draft interview and all this stuff but the initial meeting saying that he loved it It was unbelievable is obviously great things to hear but he did also go on to talk about uh how he would feel if he was drafted by the Sharks on draft day He said “They have such a good young core They do obviously have a lot of older players that are great as well but I think their young core coming up is promising and exciting if they were to draft me I hope I could just help them and make an impact on that organization Obviously we know he’s going to have an impact on this organization if he is drafted And just hearing he likes the way this team is and likes the direction it’s going obviously with a lot of young talent He does talk about Mlin Celibbrini in this interview and says he’s just kind of like a one-of-a-kind player which is obviously great praise from such a young player just a year down in their age group a guy who a guys who were you know familiar with theirelves going up through hockey So I think it’s just great to hear this from Michael Misa obviously saying he wants to come in make an impact on this organization be an impact player for this team going forward and building this team into championship status I mean just looking at the kid I mean what do you have like 134 points this season in the OHL and it’s just great to see that Obviously he’s producing high numbers in at the junior level You don’t expect him to come in and be on that pace But if this guy can come in h in his first NHL season and even you know have a year kind of like Mlin did have like a 50point season I’d be very happy with that Obviously getting his first licks at Pro Action I think this is a guy who if he is drafted will start day one I think it won’t hamper his uh development at all Like we see Mlin go into his first season last year Will Smith These guys played great second half of the season So I think this is what we will see if Michael Misa is drafted by this team But I did just want to take a look at an initial lineup I’ll make it a little bit bigger for you guys here as I kind of went through and played armchair GM and put Michael Misa into this lineup I put him on the 2C moved Will Smith over to the right wing which we did see last season Maybe that is interchangeable with putting Will Smith and Tyler TFoley up you know back and forth You could mess with that But you look here Michael Misa as a 2C coming into uh his first NHL season I think it’s definitely a thing that we can see play out I think he can take the face offs It might take him a while to adjust to that but I do think that he will easily adjust you know a few games into this season And as we see on the left side here a guy like Igor Sherneshoff a guy who came to Sagena where he did play in the OHL this season Both guys played on the same line together and had a great connection down there I think we we could see this in San Jose Maybe even we see Quinton Musty up there as well But he did actually touch on this in the interview where he did talk about his time with Igor Sherneshoff and how he helped his game out this season And this is what he had to say He said he’s a spe special player It was more just a a matter of waiting for when he came to Sagena because obviously he was in Russia at the beginning of the season He also did go on to say here when he did come it was a huge addition to my line and even though he couldn’t really speak great English it was just like his hockey IQ was so good He we read off each other It was really easy to find him He was one of the best players I’ve ever played with So obviously giving uh Sherna some huge praise here saying as soon as he came over he kind of elevated my game to another level That’s why I think if they do get Michael Misa at this draft if he doesn’t go to New York and he ends up falling to San Jose at the number two selection Obviously he likes the organization right now We’re hearing that from him which is huge from a prospect to come out to the media and say it was an unbelievable meeting Uh which is great and hearing that he likes the prospects on this team Obviously a linemate in Igor Sherneshoff These guys could be a future pair pairing in the forward core for this team for a very long time They’re obviously their games mesh well Shernoff being a big power forward guy who can score as well And obviously Michael Misa being a little crafty guy playing like Carill Caprosoft and um guys like that that that’s who I kind of see him as Uh and I I just love this guy I think there’s no wrong pick for the San Jose Sharks in this year’s draft I think obviously you know Matthew Schaefer may be the guy you want because he is the defenseman but I do think Michael Misa is a class player and just having that already built chemistry with Igor Sherneshoff is definitely a great uh thing to have in the bank for the San Jose Sharks No doubt about that But he did also go on to talk about who he models his game after where that’s where I kind of got the Carrill Capros off He said “Those guys are kind of people I think I play pretty similar games to Their offensive ability I think I can relate to them in ways and I definitely do see that from what I’ve seen out of Michael Misa during my research uh for this draft because there’s a lot of prospects that the San Jose Sharks can pick this year And I really do like his game I think he brings an element of obviously offense but he can also you know get it done defensively as well I think he’s a a great center at the junior level and I think it will transition over to uh the NHL level and I do think he’s a guy who comes in immediately in this lineup I want to hear your guys’ thoughts and everything he had to say in this interview down below in the comment section Love hearing your guys’ thoughts and everything we talk about here It means a lot to us And one thing I did want to bring up before we ended this obviously a guy from Oakville Ontario Ontario boy same where Jonathan Severe is from And uh he did also mention in this interview that obviously Tiveres is a big role model for him and they do work out with each other They have worked out with each other in the past and I think that’s just another great thing to add on to his resume because obviously a great captain in Johnas for the Toronto Maple Blues for years and years and a great player in this league If he can you know that can rub off onto Michael Misa a little bit it’s going to just going to make him an even better player I’d love to hear your guys’ thoughts and everything down below in the comments section And like I said if you’re a big Sharks fan and you want to stay up to date on everything around the Sharks heading into the draft heading into a busy off season make sure to hit that subscribe button But as always I’ve been your host Casey Keep her stick on Graf rw3 .. 😢
Easy for GMMG this draft. Just draft whoever the Isles do not. Both would be awesome picks and help expedite the rebuild.
Hot take. Even if NYI take Hagens, I’d still pick Misa. I have massive faith in Dickinson. I like the later first round defensemen. Misa is unmatched.
Misa or Smith battling for that 2C will be interesting. The loser goes to Wing 1st line w Celebrini. Win win win situation
Where’s Colin Graf? He definitely belongs in top 3 lines.
Ty Dellandrea should not be on the third line…..or 4th line for that matter. He should be playing with the Barracuda.
Personally I’m more excited to get misa than Schaefer. The low number of games played makes me nervous. I’m sure the scouting community has taken that into account but to my amateur eyes looks like a giant red flag.
Is everything unbelievable to you? You absolutely love everything and everything is unbelievable to you. I bet if the sharks said they were moving to South Africa you would absolutely love it and it would be unbelievable to you.
