It is a huge weekend in downtown ST Louis as the Cardinals try to take down baseball’s Goliath with the los Angeles Dodgers. It’s also an important night as all the major sports teams from ST Louis to get together for tornado relief. We are technically in a rain delay. As you see, the tarp is on the field, 71 degrees after the rains have stopped, it is still very muggy and humid. Hopefully, mother nature will coop the rest of the weekend. So maybe Sonny Gray who’s on a heat or a zone is catching them at the right time tonight in his last three starts. He’s been amazing two and oh, the record, the minuscule 142, a and he is striking out a lot of batters but there is no how good your offense is for an ace and that’s what Sonny Gray is going to be tonight. L A has got three MVP S coming to bat in the very first inning. Sonny Gray throws a lot of first pitch strikes to, it’s a lot of pitch home runs hit to second off the chest of Donovan plenty of time and there is out. Nice tight one Oscar Hernandez grounded to short first time up swing and a Miss sweeper takes care of hernandez back to back strikeouts with two very good hitters. So Tommy Ed with the leadoff single and that is the second time in the game that the Dodgers have had a leadoff run on Dalton rushing the batter and that’s tip rushing is down on strikes. The Dodgers have left seven runners on and they have runners at 2nd and 3rd in the eighth inning. The Cardinals lead 4 to 0 and two outstanding strikeouts. One more to go.
