Rangers vs. Nationals Game Highlights (6/7/25) | MLB Highlights

Time this season that the Rangers were shut out last night tied for most in the American League. They will deal with Mitchell Parker today, 25 years of age trying it little by little round back into the form that he showed the first month of the season for Texas. Haggerty Langford Young, the 1 to 0 hit sharply left side right by Tana, the third baseman and out into left field. And so Sam Haggerty gets, things started with a solid single out into left Langford a long out and that brings up Josh Young line drive over the shortstop Abrams out into left ringing single to left here for josh Young. That snaps him out of an zero for 11. Moving up to second is Haggerty. So the Rangers with something going here in the first runners at 1st and 2nd 1 out. Marcus Simeon coming up swinging that ball hit up the alley and left center field on the move hassle. He won’t get there and Then the ball bounces by him all the way to the wall. Haggerty scores. Young hits the bag at third, he’s being waved home. Simon makes it the third standing up a two run triple Hassell who was a very good defender. We saw him in right yesterday. That ball kind of played him a little bit. Jacob deGrom 36 years of age now working his way back from Tommy john surgery that cost him much of the last two seasons. Five and one with a one 0.70 a in his last seven in a ball park today that he knows quite well. One pitch and one out here in the bottom half of the first Rangers leading two to nothing. James Wood. The batter he strikes out swinging. Here goes after the fastball away comes up empty. And that’s the first strikeout today for the 263 average this year for Garcia. Here’s a little chopper back to the hill glove by the, he quickly throws over to first and has a 123 shut down. Bottom half of the first inning. We go the second Rangers two nationals. Jonah, he will lead off against Mitchell Parker. Now the pitch swing and a miss struck him out on a fastball away. Parker has his first strikeout two out and nobody on here is Ezekiel Durant getting the start at shortstop Parker rocks and kicks pitch on the way swing and a miss blows him away with another fastball that one up to 96 miles an hour from Parker and one down for Nathaniel Lowe Lowe right now. One for 15 inning, 2 21 8 homers , 40 batted in. Here’s the win. Now, pitch swinging a looping liner that one will fall. A base hit into left field for Nathaniel over the head of the third baseman young and well in front of Sam Haggerty who plays it into second and the Nationals have their first baserunner and Robert Hassell coming up des pitch swing and a Miss Hassell goes down on a slider two outs in the bottom of the second. That’s a second strikeout today for Degra have runners on 1st and 2nd for Ruiz batting with two, one swing and a Miss. He goes after pitch, nowhere near the zone. DeGrom just toying with him and he gets the strikeout to end the inning. Parker has now retired six in a row. Here’s Wyatt Langford Langford fly to center his first time hard ground ball right it short. It’s fielded by Abrams. He’ll trigger quickly to first to retire Langford Parker. Two quick outs here in the third faces the third baseman josh Young. Here’s the wind of the 21 fly ball to right center chasing over call on the go. He’ll run it down making the catch in the alley. Parker has himself an eight pitch, 123 top of the third and we’ve got one away in the bottom of the third. Here’s Abrams 12 swing and a Miss Abrams swings over the slider is a little bit below the zone with his fourth strikeout. We play with two outs here in the bottom of the third inning. Here’s James Wood 22 strike three called lights him up with a fastball over the outside corner at 98. And that ends the inning, a 123 frame for the wall, two strikes on jake Berger. The two from Parker grounds one foul right to Bruce Bochy second game in a row that’s made a play right along the railing, top step of the dugout last night, he caught it with his left hand. That one he caught with his right hand be swings and misses on a splitter downstairs and Parker puts him away for his third strikeout. Here’s a garcia pop up his first time up. The struck him out with a splitter. So Mitchell Parker carves up Adolis Garcia. He has a 123 inning with two strikeouts to zero. Rangers Luis Garc-a Junior faces Jacob deGrom, the right hander throws and a line drive to left that’s down. It’s a base hit field on a bounce by Haggerty garcia takes a slider off the plate and shoots it the other way for a first pitch single is retired on one pitch that will bring up Nathaniel Lowe runner goes, the pitch is down and in the throw down to second and out at second base is Garcia. The tag applied by Ezekiel Duran. It was a late call there by dj Rur in the second base umpire as he wanted to make sure that Eze still had the ball in his glove , a swing and a miss on that Degra slider. And that will do it for the nationals here in the fourth, no runs, a hit. Nobody left six strikeouts through four innings for Degra Hassell struck out swinging back in the second. Here comes the two strike pitch , his swing and a miss make it seven and he takes care of Hassell with the fastball. So two down that brings up Cert Ruiz. First pitch here to Ruiz is bounced to first. Berger’s got it underhand flip to deGrom and we’re done here in the bottom half of the fifth five innings complete in our nation’s capital and it’s two to zero. So the first hit for the Rangers since Marcus Simeon’s single in the first Langford, the batter, the 11 swing a fly ball left center field pretty well hit, drifting back. Hassell edge of the warning track makes the catch. Haggerty’s tagging trying for second. Hassel’s throw. Is there the tag by garcia? He is out. Robert Hassell the third guns him down trying to go to second. And so that’s a double play. Absolutely on targeted. Perfect. So here is josh Young, the line of the pitch strike three called at the East 95 over the inside corner. Young doesn’t like the call. Smith is battle from before. He is one for two against him last time lined out, but he’s got the bases loaded and a chance to deliver a very big hits in be of the runners. The kick of the delivery swing, a fly ball left center field, not deep hassle moving over and in Hasell still drifting makes the catch and gets a big out. The rangers strand the bases loaded and three walks in the top of the seventh. Still a 2 to 0 game. DeGrom gets the first two hitters of the seventh. I mean, this has been pretty dominant. The wind up in Degrom’s pitch swing and a miss he gets low on an elevated fastball. Jacob deGrom giving us a special performance so far here this afternoon with his third hit of the ball game. Really would love to see the Rangers score a run or two in this inning. Wyatt Langford’s fly to left center bounced to short and fly to deep left center bouncer up the middle and a diving stop and Abrams glove flip goes wide of seconds play had when he couldn’t quite pull it off and Langford is on with an infield hit one away here in the top of the eighth. Marcus Simon is the batter. This ball hit hard out to the alley left center field, that one’s down base hit. Here comes Langford around third hill score a clean double for simon Plates two more runs and the Rangers lead it four and Marcus Semien continues to swing a white hot bat. Here’s a Garcia who swings and pops one up shallow right center. This could be trouble and it falls for the base. Simon running hard with two outs scores on the play. It’s a looping RB. I single for a Garcia and a 50 Texas advantage. It doesn’t feel like it, but Adolis has hit safely in five straight games. Has had a game he singled to left score to the first, he grounded a second and the third reached on an infield hit of the sixth and the swing and a fly ball right center field coming on is Hassell coming on his call. Look out. They both dive and call made the catch for the out the diving highlight. Real catch for call. You see two outfielders dive one in front of the other. So the nationals are down to their final out and that brings up Luis Garc-a Junior Mart-n with the 01. This one is hit into center field and hit well, Lake Ford racing back gets turned around, reaches out on the track. He makes the catch terrific running grab by Wyatt Langford who got turned around before he got to the track. That ball hit to just about the deepest part of this ballpark and Langford equal to the task. He makes the play preserving this Rangers shutout win five nothing the score. The Rangers get their first win on this road trip and improve to 3035

  1. If this Rangers team can just figure it out offensively it would change their entire mindset and attitude.
Look at Semiens body language now compared to before he got on this impressive offensive streak.

He is incredibly loose and is actually having fun on the diamond; if you watched the game today you know what I am referencing.
