Andrew Nembhard cooking SGA is not talked about that much

  1. Nembhard actually won that game for the Pacers, but he barely got talked about lol… His poise and handles are very impressive.

  2. This was one of the toughest buckets I’ve seen in a while lol I’ve watched ts like 100 times since it happened

Isolate the MVP in the clutch and hit him with some prime james harden combos into a stepback three sheesh man

  3. That looks EXACTLY like a James harden move haha

Like if it was 2k or something and he had the specific animation, it’s exactly like the Beard

  4. When he hit that shot after that combo, I gave out a stank face. Thats how nasty that move was!

  5. Rather not talk about it 😅 Nemhard cooked him on that play ngl. Good defence, better offence.

  6. Nah, SGA didn’t get cooked here. He was practically step for step with Nembhard. Nembhard simply used a quick step back to gain just enough separation to knock down the shot over SGA. SGA played great defense, but credit goes to Nembhard for the stepback and nailing the tough shot

  7. That’s great defense too just a better shot. Sga stayed with him the whole time and was a lil shaky maybe but he contested it well

  8. Some prime Harden shit lol, I saw this and realized “holy shit it might happen again”

  9. He made a tough shot; SGA stayed with him- not every iso basket is someone getting “cooked”

  10. Nembhard plays like a 10 year vet. He’s a very smart, very solid player.

  11. not talked enough? ive seen this highlight plenty of times across diff platforms…

  12. I’ll probably get killed with down votes for this, but does he not travel there? His first hop back is done without a dribble. If he pulled into a shot I’d understand it, but then he proceeded to put the ball on the floor for like 8 more seconds until the step back. I’m sure this happens more than I realize and I only noticed it because of the slo-mo, but just wondering.

  13. I mean SGA wasn’t far from blocking that shot so I’d say this actually shows how goof SGAs defense is. Hanging tough on nembhard throwing all the moves in the book at him

  14. Y’all’s enthusiasm for using the word ‘cook’, is akin to a suburban family getting a hold of some slang for the very first time.

  15. None of this is surprising!
Nembhard knows sga game better than anyone. They played each other quite a bit in Ontario when younger as they are fellow Canadians.

  16. Okay, but the best part is that he didn’t celebrate, taunt the crowd and run back. He immediately full court pressed sga. He’s locked in and I love that.

  17. All of that dribbling for a contested three. I’m starting to sound like the old times coaches now. Sheesh, no playmaking, just a bunch of my turn, one on one hoops now.

  18. Wym this was talked about like crazy. It was the bucket that sparked the comeback???

  19. Taking a contested 3 is now cooking? I love Nembhard, but come on…..

  20. “not talked about that much”

brother all I see are the memes of people having stank faces from this move. Are you living under a rock?

  21. That’s pretty good defense, dude just hits a really tough bucket. Credit to him

  22. I don’t even think SGA got cooked. That was just amazing handles to create a tiny window, and then hitting a hard shot

  23. Define cooking because I see a good shot over good defense which is a normal basketball play.

  24. I think “cooked” is a bit overkill, he definitely beat SGA and it was a great ISO sequence, but SGA was only a step behind being able to put up a good contest.

  25. Like, it’s a nice play to spotlight but 1. the official nba account shared this two days ago and it got 1.6k upvotes and 2. one good play always being at the expense of another player is part of the reason why the nba’s having such a hard time building new stars. In wrestling, rock vs stone cold wouldn’t be special if rock was a bum for losing to stone cold the first two times.
