THE COWBOYS JUST FOUND THEIR NEXT STAR β AND HEβS A ROOKIE!π DALLAS COWBOYS NEWS NFL
y’all ever wonder how the Cowboys keep pulling rabbits out of their hats well hold on to your hats cuz this one’s a doozy There’s a rookie in town and the Cowboys are already scheming up ways to make him the next big thing Way beyond what anyone expected We’re talking game changer folks The coaches are moving pieces around like a chess game And this kid’s at the center of it all But here’s the kicker They’re not just plugging him into a spot They’re creating a whole new role for him Want to know who it is and why it’s got everyone talking keep reading partner All right Cowboys Nation let’s huddle up and talk some football specifically about them Dallas Cowboys and what they’re cooking up for the 2025 season Now I know it’s early and we’re just getting into OTAAS That’s organized team activities for y’all who might be new to the rodeo but let me tell you there’s already some serious buzz coming out of the Star in Frisco We’re starting to see the rookies mixing it up with the vets the coach and staff tweaking their game plans and the early pieces of the puzzle coming together for what we all hope is another Super Bowl run But there’s one rookie in particular that’s got everyone from the front office to the diehard fans like us sitting up and taking notice The Cowboys have made a move with this kid that’s got folks saying “Hold up They might have struck gold here.” Now before we dive into the nitty-gritty let me set the stage for y’all This time of year it’s real easy to get caught up in the highlight reels You know what I’m talking about Some rookie snags an interception or a receiver makes a one-handed catch and suddenly everyone’s losing their minds on social media Oh this guy’s the next Tony Romo or he’s going to be better than Dez Look that’s all fun in games and I get it It’s exciting to see the new talent but let’s be real those highlights don’t mean squat if the coaches ain’t scheming up ways to actually use these players on Sundays The real tea the stuff that actually matters is what the coach and staff is doing behind the scenes How they’re talking about these rookies and where they’re plugging him into the lineup That’s where you find out who’s really going to make an impact And when it comes to one Cowboys rookie the coaches have made a move that’s got everyone from the beat writers to the analysts raising their eyebrows This ain’t just some fluff piece This is a clear sign that the Cowboys think this kid is something special and they’re already looking for ways to get him on the field in creative ways Let’s pull up the report that’s got everyone talking According to Atoz Sports a lot of folks analysts scouts you name it reckon the Cowboys best pick in the 2025 NFL draft was in the second round when they snagged edge rusher Donovan Ezuaku out of Boston College And guess what they’re probably right But here’s where it gets interesting Even before a mandatory mini camp the Cowboys are already tinkering with his role on defense And it’s got people wondering just how big this kid’s impact could be Insider Nick Harris from the Fort Worth Star Telegram dropped a nugget that Ezroaku’s been getting a ton of run with the ones that’s the starters y’all during OTAAS Now part of that’s cuz Micah Parsons our resident superstar ain’t been around for the voluntary stuff but that ain’t the whole story What really turned heads was what the coaches did with Eiz Ruaku during the final week of OTAAS According to ESPN’s Todd Archer they had him play an offball linebacker for a couple of snaps And get this he looked comfortable doing it Now for those of y’all who might not be as dialed into the X’s and O’s let me break this down See the Cowboys new defensive coordinator Everlow is a straightup traditionalist He’s a 4-3 guy through and through Two defensive ends two defensive tackles and three offball linebackers No fancy hybrid stuff no three four looks none of that He’s old school and he likes to keep it simple Line up play your position and let the talent do the talking So when you hear that Ezi Rouaku who’s primarily an edge rusher is getting snaps at offball linebacker think weakside or middle linebacker not standing up on the edge like Parsons sometimes does That’s a big deal It means the Cowboys are looking at this kid and saying “Shoot we might have got ourselves a Swiss Army knife here.” But why is that such a big deal well let’s think about it The Cowboys already got a stable of defensive ends and edge rushers You got Micah Parsons who’s basically a cheat code You got Dante Fowler who’s a solid vet Sam Williams was looking like he was on the verge of a breakout before he got hurt Then there’s Marshon Neland And don’t forget about the guys they’re trying to develop like Ninger So with all these bodies you got to wonder where’s Azirwaku going to fit in you can’t exactly put nine defensive ends on the field at once right that’s where the creativity comes in If Aziruaku is as good as the Cowboys think he is and based on what we’re hearing they think he’s real good then you got to find ways to get him on the field even if it means moving him around This kind of reminds me of when the Cowboys drafted Micah Parsons Remember they initially had him pegged as an offball linebacker but then Randy Gregory missed some time and they slid Parsons over to defensive end for a few snaps Next thing you know he’s blown up quarterbacks left and right and suddenly he’s a superstar Now I ain’t saying Ezra Rocku is going to be the next Parsons Let’s pump the brakes on that But the point is when you got a player with that kind of potential you find ways to get him on the field You don’t just stick him in one spot and hope for the best You get creative And that’s exactly what the Cowboys are doing with Is Ruaku by giving him snaps at offball linebacker They’re testing the waters seeing if he can handle different roles and figuring out how to maximize his playmaking ability It’s like when Bobby Knight told NBA teams to draft Michael Jordan and play him at center if they had to Just get the best player on the court and let him do his thing Same principle here Get your best players on the field no matter where you got to put them Now let’s talk a little bit about Azirwaku’s background cuz it’s important to understand why this move makes sense Back at Boston College Ezrau was primarily an edge rusher About 90% of his snaps were on the defensive line But if you dig a little deeper you’ll see that toward the end of his college career they started experimenting with him at offball linebacker In fact in the last few weeks of the season weeks 9 through 14 he played 33 snaps at offball linebacker compared to just six in the first eight weeks And while you’re at it if you’re enjoying this kind of in-depth analysis where we break down the X’s and O’s and give you the inside scoop on what’s really going on with the Cowboys then do me a favor and hit that subscribe button We’re bringing you the latest news the hottest takes and the kind of insights you won’t find anywhere else Plus we’re just getting started with the offseason coverage so you don’t want to miss what’s coming next And hey if you’re feeling extra generous leave a comment with your thoughts on Ezuaku Do you think he’s the real deal or is it too early to tell that tells me the coaches at BC saw something special in him too They were trying to get him on the field more move him around and see what he could do in different spots Unfortunately BC wasn’t exactly lighting the world on fire so it didn’t translate to a bunch of winds but the mindset was there Fast forward to now and the Cowboys are picking up where BC left off They’re looking at Ezerwaku and saying “Hey this kid’s got the tools Let’s see how we can use him.” And let’s be honest the Cowboys coaching staff especially with Everllo at the helm probably has a better handle on how to deploy a player like this than the folks at Boston College did No offense to BC but we’re talking about the NFL here So what does this mean for Eziaku’s role in 2025 well it’s still early but if he keeps impressing the way he has been I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a Swiss Army knife for this defense Maybe he’s primarily an edge rusher but on certain downs or in specific packages they slide him back to offball linebacker to confuse the offense or take advantage of matchups That kind of versatility is gold in today’s NFL where offenses are throwing all sorts of looks at you If Aziruaku can handle both roles it gives the Cowboys a ton of flexibility on defense But let’s not get ahead of ourselves It’s still OTAAS and there’s a long way to go before the season starts Still the fact that the coaches are already tinkering with his position this early on is a great sign It means they see something special in him and they’re willing to think outside the box to get him on the field Now here’s where I want to hear from y’all Of all the rookies the Cowboys picked in the 2025 draft who do you think has the highest ceiling is it Eay Ruaku with his potential to be a multi-positional star or maybe it’s Booker the receiver out of LSU who’s been turning heads with his speed Or how about Jaden Blue the corner who’s already making plays in coverage Drop your thoughts in the comments below I want to know who you think is going to be the breakout star of this draft class All right back to Azeruaku One thing I want to highlight is how this move speaks to the Cowboys overall defensive philosophy under Everllo Like I said earlier he’s a traditionalist but that don’t mean he’s afraid to get creative when he’s got the right personnel In fact some of the best coaches in the league are the ones who can adapt their schemes to fit the talent they have rather than forcing players into rigid roles If Eziroaku can thrive at offball linebacker it opens up all kinds of possibilities for the defense Maybe they can run some hybrid looks or disguise coverages better or even use Azeruaku as a spy on mobile quarterbacks The possibilities are endless and that’s what makes this so exciting Another thing to keep in mind is the competition at the linebacker spot The Cowboys have some solid players there but it’s not like they’re stacked with all pros If Israaku can come in and make an impact right away it could shore up a position that’s been a bit of a question mark in recent years Plus with his athleticism and instincts he might even be able to cover tight ends or drop back into zone coverage Something that’s become increasingly important in today’s passappy NFL But let’s not forget asaku is still a rookie and there’s going to be a learning curve the speed of the game the complexity of NFL offenses the physicality it’s a whole different ballgame compared to college That said the fact that he’s already getting reps with the starters and looking comfortable in multiple roles is a great sign It means he’s picking things up quickly and the coaches trust him enough to throw him into the fire Speaking of trust that’s another key point here for the coaches to be experimenting with Azeruaku like this It means they believe in his ability to handle it They wouldn’t be moving him around if they didn’t think he could handle the mental and physical demands of playing multiple positions That’s a big vote of confidence for a rookie especially one who’s only been in the building for a few weeks Now I know some of y’all might be thinking “Well it’s just OTAAS Let’s not get too carried away.” And you’re right It’s early and there’s a lot of football left to be played But here’s the thing These early signs matter They give us a glimpse into how the coaches are thinking and they can be a harbinger of things to come Remember last year around this time we were hearing similar buzz about a certain receiver out of Tulsa and sure enough he ended up being a key contributor by mid-season So while it’s not a guarantee it’s definitely worth paying attention to Plus let’s be honest we’re Cowboys fans We live for this kind of stuff We love dissecting every little detail from the draft to free agency to OTAAS trying to figure out who’s going to be the next big star And right now all signs are pointing to Donovan Ezerwaku being that guy He’s got the talent He’s got the opportunity And most importantly he’s got the coach’s attention That’s a recipe for success if I’ve ever seen one So as we wrap this up let me leave y’all with this The Cowboys are on to something with a Zeruaku And if he keeps progressing the way he has been we might be looking at a rookie who makes a serious impact in 2025 Whether he’s rushing the passer dropping back into coverage or making plays all over the field one thing’s for sure the Cowboys are going to find a way to get him involved And hey if you’ve made it this far you’re clearly as hyped about this as I am So do me a solid and hit that subscribe button if you haven’t already We’re going to be bringing you all the latest Cowboys news analysis and insider scoops throughout the off season and into the regular season Trust me you don’t want to miss it And while you’re at it drop a comment below Do you think as Iaku is going to be the breakout star of this rookie class or is there another player you’ve got your eye on let’s get the conversation going After all that’s what being a Cowboys fan is all about

How about nobody knows but that's just wait for football and then we can judge then you are talking about stuff too soon and nobody knows even know who this dude is really but the size what you're saying and whatever videos people can watch that doesn't tell us Jack and then you all got to realize Dallas cowboys schedule was actually pretty hard so hopefully they're ready to kick some ass cuz if not and if not it's going to be the same thing like it was last year so hopefully they do what they do if it was me I'd paid every good player I have on the field and then keep them on the field to I win games and always win games and I won't take them off till I get done running the super bowl
You play to win the game β€
Oh!! Stop it!! The Cowboys ain't done $hit in over 30 years. The Cowboys are the only team in the NFC. That hasn't been to a championship game in the same time. Jalen hurts was born, grew up, went to high shool, college. Then to the NFL, and won a Super Bowl since the Cowboys were relevant. THE DALLAS COWBOYS WILL NEVER WIN ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP UNDER THIS OWNERSHIP.. PERIOD!!!!!
The Cowboys could have Brady, L.T., Moss, Rice, Payton, White, Sanders, Singletary, and Lott…..and Jerry would screw it up somehow!!
