Isn’t it called the “big toe”??
“Great toe injury” sounds wild
i was today years old when i learned it was called the “great toe”
I only have big toes. I didn’t know his are great
Respect for suiting up but it was obvious that he didn’t have his step against Indiana. Coach should’ve made the call
doesn’t sound like a great toe
Dang, I feel like this isn’t nothing, 4-5 months takes him off the court till October-November, so no summer work and straight into the regular season for garland, kinda makes the Cavs summer a little weirder
4 to 5 months sounds like a lot for a toe injury
4-5 months is crazy, have to think he might be moved this summer
Why wait so long
So many people gave him crap for sitting out with a toe injury
What do the haters and losers have to say that called him “soft” for missing a couple playoff games
TIL it’s called the great toe and not big toe
Another szn of slander bc he played through injury in the postseason again
Well, that’s not *great*. =/
Stephen A smith was calling him out and telling he needs to man up and play through it . I hope karma gets him and he loses function in a foot.
Must be a grade 3 sprain rip. Good thing Tim Connelly traded for Randle who was coming off of shoulder surgery and wasn’t ready till the first week of the regular season
why did they wait until now to do it if their season was done a month ago
If you’ve watched Moody’s Point you know how devastating a big town injury is
What about his good toe?
The best toe injury. Everybody is saying “I’ve never seen a toe injury quite like this before” WOW
Big strong men come up to me with tears in their eyes and they say thank you for making toe injuries great again
I just have a big toe , no wonder I never made it to the league.
I had a great toe all this time and I had no idea?
Obviously don’t think people mean it but how tf is the first thought of r/nba of a man getting injured “Oh well his trade value going down” 💀?
so much for the greatest trade summer ever
Not like all your pedestrian toes
This doesn’t really “kill” his trade value at all. Turf toes are common and he will make a full recovery. If it was his knee or foot or something then it would be different. Maybe his value takes a slight hit but I’m if the Cavs continue to listen to offers I’m sure teams would still send over a massive haul
this is why i never understood hating on him for playing bad vs the pacers with a damn toe injury
This sounds like a WWE injury even though it’s serious.
Medical staff could have saved a lot of speculation and accusations by determining that he couldn’t play.
What’s so great about an injury?
People’s reaction to this injury really showed how few people have really played *any* sport at an even remotely high level (even high school).
Having a toe injury can be more debilitating than a hand injury in a lot of cases. All of your movement, speed, and burst becomes compromised. You want run without your toes. There’s no adjustment to be made. Every step will hurt and you will lose a step.
The way people talked about the Garland injury made it seem like he had a minor wrist sprain or something. This 100% affected the cavs postseason results.
I just can’t believe the toe costs him half a season +recovery and lebron can play 20 years with those crooked things he calls toes.
I thought it was known formally as the “Captain of the toes”
