I love Alvy, but he's been such a disappointment this season. I really hope his 3 for 4 night is the beginning of consistency, and he doesn't always swing for homers.
Can we send him to venezuela or triple a you choose. His venezuelan buddy mendoza keeps him in the line up even though he stinks.

They need to have him go back to his old swing mechanics, the approach changes he made in the offseason haven't helped him. In fact, they've ruined him. Alvarez was always gonna be a mediocre batting average guy, but with plus plus power and good defense, which profiles as an all star level C. His new swing mechanics have completely crippled his best traits as a hitter which are plus bat speed and elite raw power. His swing now is too slow and the elbow sits too far out, which is making him late on everything and making him completely unable to pull anything! Cant get to his insane raw power with that swing which wont let him pull anything.
