First time being back at the Coliseum since the A's left. I felt grateful to be back but also very conflicted on why the A's aren't here. The A's aren't better off in Sac or closer to Vegas imo. Despite all the chaos I think they absolutely could and should be still playing in Oakland. FJF!

  1. Take down Mt. Davis and fix-up the infrastructure and you’ve got a ballpark that, combined with the history, scenery and weather, would be in the top 10 MLB stadiums.

  2. They didn’t want to deal with the boycotting fans. They are getting more fans per game in Sac then they did in Oakland last year.

  3. I agree, I’m a fan of the Roots but it simply doesn’t cut my sports fix as a big sports fan. I also never got into Soccer myself. It just doesn’t feel right having a soccer field at the Coliseum. I miss having a Baseball Diamond inside the Coliseum

My hope is that the whole Sacramento experiment fails and they come back here to the Coliseum next season. It’s obviously a big long shot. FJF

  4. It has nothing to do with Sac being a ‘better spot’. It was done purely because Sac was FREE versus re-upping a lease at the Coliseum.

  5. I haven’t gotten car jacked going to a game in Sac yet so there’s that. Also I haven’t had idiots blocking the freeway home after either. So there’s that I guess.
