Tank Talk: Joe Thornton & Patrick Marleau Part Two

YOU’VE BEEN AROUND A LOT, JOE. YOU’VE SEEN A LOT OF THINGS. WHERE DO YOU SEE THINGS AT RIGHT NOW WITH THIS HOCKEY TEAM? THE FUTURE IS GOING TO BE GREAT. LIKE, REALLY, REALLY GOOD. SO AS LONG AS THE GUYS STAY HEALTHY, IT’S. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT. I THINK WHAT THE GRUZZY’S DONE, MANAGEMENT’S DONE CAME IN HERE AND, YOU KNOW, KIND OF HAD TO CHANGE THINGS UP PRETTY QUICKLY AND BRING SOME PROSPECTS IN AND MOVE SOME GUYS AROUND. THEY’VE DONE A GREAT JOB IN A SHORT SPAN HERE AND, YOU KNOW, THINGS ARE LOOKING TEAL.

In part two of Brodie Brazil’s conversation with Sharks legends Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton, the trio discusses Macklin and Will’s talent, the direction of the Sharks, and answers fan questions.

  1. Hey Brodie,
It's a trip to look at these two now that their playing days are behind them. I remember when they were drafted 1 and 2 over all. I rememger thinking it would be amazing if we could somehow get both these players on the Sharks and then a few years later that happened!

I remember the fan fest Patty's rookie year by then the freshly turned 18 year old young Patrick sitting at a table adjacent to Daryl Sutter so Sutter could keep an eye on Patty.

And then I said something really stupid to Patrick. I said "Thanks for coming to San Jose" like he had a choice. hahaha Patty being the nice young man he was didn't really say anything but, just smiled .

Daryl on the other hand heard the whole thing and gave me a vintage Daryl Sutter stank eye which I definitely earned! hahaha

Thanks for this fun conversation with the boys Brodie.
