oh there goes Jos Herrera the catcher is the winning run at second base to start the bottom of the 11th inning josie was rung up on that high strike call from Dan Isi to end the 10th i suppose Bobby could have had Gritic run for him we’re told that Gabrielle Moreno is okay to play as the backup but they’re going to stick with Joey down there at second as Corbin steps in vargas back out there for Seattle 100 miles an hour with a sinker first strike corbin hit the game’s first pitch for the Mariners out for a home run his 19th of the year he is one for four base hit can win it for the Diamondbacks this was Corbin who bounced one off the top of the bullpen fence and left and over for the leadoff home run a first pitch home run the first he’s ever had measured it perfectly right off the top of the fence and on into the bullpen andy Rosa Reena trying to make one of his trademark catches boy I love to see Corbin drive him in but at worst move him up to third base here with only one out in the inning you got a chance to win the game without a base hit one ball and two strikes raleigh hangs on to the foul tip and Corbin strikes out 99 on the sinker from Vargas and there’s one away looked like there was some question whether Cal Rollins caught that ball cleanly yeah he got his glove underneath it holds it up and shows it to Dan Isaia right there second strike out for Vargas and they will walk Marte with first base open and work to Heraldo [Music] Purdomo second time that Vargas and the Mariners have put a runner on to work to their preferred man they walked Pave intentionally in the 10th and that worked out now Marte gets the pass in the 11th then here comes Jerry who has singled walked twice and scored a run only run that matters is Herrera at second base oh boy what are we looking at i don’t know this is just ridiculous don’t want to get on the umpires really don’t but it wouldn’t be it becomes part of the narrative of these clutch situations there’s no way around it and it it’s not like it’s been one side only he’s missed a whole bunch of pitches both ways tonight i mean you can you know the Mariners might have a beef on the one that Kzone just got rung up on that was a little bit above the belt but keep in mind that Kzone is not perfect it’s pretty close but it’s not deadly accurate so maybe he sees something that we don’t give him the benefit here against the Brewers the Diamondbacks were down 4 nothing in the bottom of the ninth came back and won it on a walk-off Goreel sack fly they had a four-run lead vanish on them tonight in the ninth inning and they can win it right now with the 11 all in a strike on Josh Naylor swing and bunt goes foul and it’s one-2 demarro Vargas who came on to run for Gino Suarez earlier tonight is the on deck man [Music] [Applause] jose Herrera the winning run at third base one and two on Naylor with one out and Josh takes time [Music] naylor down the line and he just missed it oh he smoked that ball just barely fouled been that kind of night yep we’ll do it again on one and [Music] two highf fly ball way back josh Naylor all the way to the wall and it’s a walk-off grand slam just the third walk-off Grand Slam in Diamondback’s history and the first since Ryan Roberts back in 2011 second career walk-off homer for Naylor and on a wild night here at Chase Field and the Diamondbacks saw a 4 nothing two out ninth inning lead vanish they win it 8 to four boy Josh Naylor the hero of the game obviously but don’t forget what Mel Kelly did to begin this ball game six innings of shut out baseball josh Naylor been hitting the ball hard all night got what appeared to be a cutter up at the top of the zone and just mashed it to right field and the other half of that Bob on a night where the discussion is going to be about a bullpen blow up let’s not overlook the job done by Juan Mario and Jaylen Beaks mario pitched a scoreless 10th Beaks a scoreless 11th and got them to the home half and they walk it off with a nailer slam we’ll get news on Justin Martinez as the three-game losing streak is over
