focus on that we kind of he popped up in several of these comments uh and that’s Mr odama from the Memphis Grizzlies i think I’m becoming a stand i I really do i’m I’m starting to get to the point where I’m like you know what at all cost and I know that you guys have probably heard me talk about stars and all this i believe that when I say all cost he’s gonna be somebody that is not going to cost a lot but Santi Odama I really like what I see and I believe that he and K Cunningham could form a very potent very potent pick and roll and pick and pop duo this guy can score at all three levels of the floor man all three levels got touch i’m I don’t know man i I We’ll get there we’ll get there man hey shout out to Rod Beard he couldn’t be on this morning a late meeting so he was a shout out to the Detroit amps it was a great event they had Brayen Edwards out there we’re getting those interviews up on the channel shout out to that dude Justin for helping to coordinate this as well but we were out there together got to interview Brilen alongside George Gervin and Iso Joe as the official kickoff for the big three coming here and these guys man they’re ready i I I don’t even want to talk about it anymore let’s hear from the guys i got Jeremy Fargo who’s the captain we got George Gervin the Iceman NBA champion and Detroit legend and we also got Iso Joe one of my favorite basketball players of the era that I watched one of my favorite you talking about one of those guys that was absolutely cold and I got some more content we won’t show it now but it will be coming out y’all i’ve had a great and amazing career uh it it feels great for everything to come back full circle and now for me to be a part of the Detroit community yes sir and uh like I say bring championship have a great shot but it’s not because you’re going to have done it better than Detroit and that’s thing to this point who set that draft record nfl draft was so great it’s coming to Detroit within the next five years again watch the NFL loved it here they said they’ve never experienced it they’re like “Bro like y’all really pulled up in the middle of the city we’re on Woodward freaking Avenue in Grand River you got Shanola Hotel right there and we’re right at the Barn Detroit store outside the mayor you know uh deputy mayor is out there business owners are out there the ownership group is out there and a lot of excited people even other people are coming down out their hotels coming out their businesses to just try and figure out what’s going on because they’ve been putting on the show remember even a StockX event in the middle of Campus Marshes detroit does the was one of the worst spots in the NBA bro it was epic in the seat last night just to be down there and be in that environment i’m looking forward to more they’re saying show up show out they want the fans to be out there uh and they’re going to they’re going to do everything in their power to make sure that there is a lot a lot of enrichment for those fans but we got a few more minutes here in the in the in the show and I do want to be able to at least get to a couple of the fans a couple of the chat family and we hear the hub of but obviously this isn’t necessarily a player that I’ve heard too many people be saying you know what we need to be first to to to the market as it relates to this guy when I look at the skill set when I think about how he can mesh not only do I want him here he makes me want to be able to definitely bring back Malik Beasley but I think that he would be one of those perfect fits with how this team is run especially with K Cunningham at the top i mean that’s the thing with with Santi Alama is he gives you the pick and pop ability right now that we’re dying that Duran to have a Duran get to eventually mid-range and and and from three he’s one of the I would say better role players that not enough people have heard of or are talking about and he’s seven feet tall too but but am I am I overthinking this because you look at the numbers last year it’s not like they’re going to blow you out of the water but obviously usage plays a role there he’s going to be playing uh behind some pretty decent front court players too uh and then you know the Memphis Grizzlies they just had a stroke of luck with their wing players and their power forwards and their centers they are getting everything right with their front court in my opinion um but it looks like they’re also going to be one of those dysfunction teams even though they you fire your coach you don’t really know what you’re doing with Jaw uh realistically how you’re going to build around him if you keep him what are you going to do with Triple J and now you might lose some of those role players because I heard that the Grizzlies are one of those teams where those role players have made the difference for them they put themselves on the radar in a weak free agency class and one of those guys is Santi Alama and that’s that’s the big point in just in terms of UFAs no player options or not it’s not a star-studded class so as Santi Alama he’s one of probably the more underrated i wouldn’t say he’s a jewel but he could be the difference on a team that’s chasing a title somebody like him with his skill set yeah definitely and I wonder just how much more does the ability of K Cunningham take him to the next level well that’s a big part of it he’s he’s more of a pass first player than John Moran yep and before we get to what the fans believe we should do just a few more things out here some from Mark Stein uh and some from Hoopite they believe and they’ve reported on this that the Detroit Pistons are in on Miles Turner they said that it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Detroit that the Indiana Pacers are going to make an offer to Miles Turner and that’s probably the most likely scenario that he returns there but they said this is Mark Stein that there was one team of particular interest in Miles Turner that they haven’t really heard of any other chatter about other teams kicking the tires on him and that Detroit may be one of those serious teams in pursuit of him in free agency before he decides to go back to Indiana so that to me was interesting and then also from Mark Stein he also believes that the Pistons are are going to that they’re emerging to be a threat to pursue restricted free agent Santi Dama huh so just a few just a few updates there for you as it relates to the Pistons and then Jake Weinbach who really sent Pistons world into a tizzy when he uh mentioned that the Pistons were among the Heat Sixers and Spurs uh as it relates to checking in or kicking the tires on Lori marketing these are some names that we’ve been talking about and now you’re going to hear a lot more from me about Santi because you kick the tires on Li you’re going to talk about probably giving up the farm when you’re dealing with Danny A when I’m looking at Santiama I really like what he could present at a at a much lower price point well that’s Lori Markin is really intriguing to me as he should be to everyone with his with his skill set the Danny A factor though you can’t you can’t let him fleece you you can’t let him negotiate in bad faith and that’s really the and that’s big cuz I mean I it depends on what it would take for Lori Markin but but as a player oh my goodness I think that they’re contenders with Lori Markin and I do too Kade and Laur Oh my goodness gracious but it’s just like what do you have to do to give it up or can you rely on just those two and and and in and building and tweaking around those because those players are going to be a very very heavy hit to your cap space we know that K Cunningham not only is he stepping into 38 million this year but it’s actually going to be a little bit more because making the AllNBA team added $45 million to his overall contract but JB Smooth surprise me here man let’s put up one of these uh one of these uh the chat family they put in what they believe should be happening this free agency read it off for us and we’ll definitely give our Swiss or Brick on it all right let’s go with this one first from uh Detroit Flip 5680 he said “Beasley is the only free agent in house that has to come back let Dennis and Tim walk fill that power forward spot and trust your young core group to develop also offer Ivy and Duran extensions but nothing not anything close to max money.” Oh snap so he’s going full-fledged man with this off seasonason he getting everything he getting the young guys taken care of too and I’m not mad at that you know you talk about that four or that wing player part of me wonders do you bring back a Beasley i would bring back a shoulder or two and they have the options and the exemptions and the exceptions to be able to bring these guys back and still be a player based on the assets they have on the roster to go and get a guy like a Sant man brick i’m going to go brick with this plan just cuz this to me looks like running it back but losing two of your veterans and I don’t think that Duran and Ivy need to be extended right now and I get it obviously we think Assar is going to develop we still don’t quite know what Ivy is in this uh completed more developed version of the Pistons during development as well but I just I think that’s a little bit too much running it back and hoping for development for my taste what about you Toss yeah I don’t think you can just run it back and it sounds it sounds good because you always assume people are going to get better because they’re so young but you need hunger on the team and you get hunger by having new faces those new faces never been to Detroit those new faces might want to do things a little bit more grittier than guys who’ve been here um I’m going to bring up a name and all of you going to throw up and say I’m crazy here’s who I wouldn’t mind the Pistons having alex Caruso you know why he’s a rat no he is he He’s a little rat bastard who will do anything he can hit threes i saw him uh defending Carl Anthony Towns he just does whatever and he’s just an annoyance you know what i’m not mad at that one especially when you talking about a player of versatile versatile on both ends of the court when you talk about this defense he’s going to be a pest and and sometimes I feel like that’s lacking with the uh with the Detroit Pistons right and you you saw the aggression have a return this year but Alex Cruso is one of those players who I think gives you a little bit more with uh with a little bit more size i know there’s some people who are wondering what’s going to happen with a guy like Amarcus Sasser they got some decisions even beyond some of the who you going to bring in they have a lot of decisions on players who they’re going to have to decide are they bringing them back are we going to retain their cap holds as we go into the draft season they have their most flexibility during that season right after are you going to lock these guys back are you bringing them back they got some things to figure out and that’s where Caruso and I’ve even heard them link to Caris Avert that’s where they become very very intriguing options there is absolutely nothing wrong with Alex Caruso on this team Terry like I like Yeah not throwing up at all would love somebody like that one of the better perimeter defender annoyance rats as you said can shoot the three 100% if it were possible yet every team in basketball would want an Alex Karu so hell LeBron probably wishes he still had him on the Lakers hey you know what Cardier says detroit flip- knows ball that dude is smart that was the person who sent it’s going to take we talked about the Detroit Pistons having now their full treasure trove their full war chest they can now trade up to like four first round picks they can do pick swaps they got a whole treasure trove full of second round picks over the next however many years too so they have everything they need including even Young Capital yeah this is a switch on the block absolutely they’re on the block who’s who besides Kate Cunningham has really proven to be untouchable honestly if there was a second untouchable on this team for me it would probably be a Sar Thompson so yeah if you’re talking about Ivy Stewart picks Fonteio there was a Tobias Harris because Tobias Harris to make the salaries uh mesh 100% on the table not saying do it now or I riot but on the block yes what about T Foss any other comments on that you know it’s a team of filled with touchables you can get them you get them the hell out of here but you don’t want to gut the team because if you gut the team to bring in a superstar you’re bringing in a guy who likely hasn’t won elsewhere he was playing on the team that was already gutted so now you’re going to bring him on a Piston team that’s gutted magic is not going to happen you’re not going to win that way you have to be strategic though that that being being the potential hall or a version of that or some of that I don’t think that’s gutting scene but there’s a little bit of fear factor i will admit a dude bounces around for a reason so I think the pain in the ass factor must be high with Kevin Durant but you got JB Baker staff here on this on in Detroit i don’t care if you have Jesus here he’s bouncing around for a reason either he’s not getting along with folks he get he goes somewhere and is unhappy goodness gracious that’s going who’s coming from that that that area friends with Matt Ishbia and coming from Phoenix to Detroit and a lot of people are bumping their gums about obviously Deon Booker come home those dreams are probably going to be dashed because the rumors are they’re going to offer him two years and 150 freaking million dollar extension so get paid young fella get paid Devin Booker shout out to the Michigan native but I do believe that there is other things on that team that Matt Ishpia who has business here in Detroit come on man come on i get it you’re never gonna cut the deal on Devin Booker but why do you need the farm for Kevin Durant he doesn’t and he’s not going to ask for the farm you don’t think so no i I I think a lot of these trade scenarios are false i’m not not going to call them false but they’re not going to it’s not going to be as egregious as we think it’s going to be for Kevin Durant phoenix probably wants to get rid of his ass that’s an intriguing one to me godamn that’s intrigue i I would think that they would still hold firm and and and ask for the farm man they can’t he’s bouncing around and when you bounce that means your trade value diminishes you know
