Marlins vs. Angels Game Highlights (5/25/25) | MLB Highlights
Hendricks on the mound looking to get his 1/100 career victory to the count. And that’s over the inside corner for strike three, Hendrick it back to strike out there. Chicago Greg, that was a greg Maddox pitch. Bring that two seamer back, catches the inside corner for a bunch out looking and here’s a ground ball that’s hit on the right side that is stopped by and the inning will end so quick clean inning for Kyle Hendrix. They always, cabrera would be the next sandy Al Contra has not happened for cabrera. He has no hit stuff every time he takes the foul, but he’s already given up a hit as Tim Anderson rolls one in the center. Nolan has an eight game hitting streak in a 13 game on base streak. 35 consecutive plate appearances without a strikeout. That’s the second longest active streak in the major leagues. Impressive. There’s chase and a miss and down on strikes goes, he hasn’t struck out forever and 35 straight plate appearances and there it is with a foul tip held on to by the catcher ramirez 98 miles an hour on the outer edge and back to back punch outs after the leadoff single from anderson Anderson going that pitch, a called strike throw on the second base. Good one and Anderson overs the bag he was in initially but when he slid past it, soo swiped the leather on him and that is how the inning ends, the caught stealing a Tim anderson and Hendricks has started off the game retiring four in a row. Hendrix came into the ball game , er, a 5.32 last year when he was with the Cubs 5.92 swing and a miss strike three. There’s that cut change up there again a little bit off the edge two outs, no one on two strike pitch and that’s a swing and a miss. And that is another that one at 88 ruined by Norby and the inning is over, retired on the first pitch and Jorge Soler will be the next hitter. Two pitch is cut on and missed good curveball and again, a hard turner at 87 that drifted below the zone and Soler swung over the top of it. That’s five outs and three punch outs for Cabrera. Here’s one that DNA hits well out in the left center field and that is a gap where it’s going to take bounce and hop over the wall. That’s a ground rule. Double, did not waste any time. First ball swinging there. The Angels second hit outfield is very shallow for a bouncing ball off of Cabrera’s rolls Lopez picks. It is 1 to 6 to 3. The scoring on that one that ends the inning. Mervis is up third base side and it’s a base hit. It’s in left field. So is going to get a double out of it. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Mevis literally looked up to the sky with both ends up and said, thank goodness and he gets a double out of that. It got under Mta’s glove and the 10 pitch to Derek Hill that one in on his hands, but he golfs it out to left field pretty deep looking up and that thing is off the wall. Mervis had to hold to see if Ward would catch the liner and he’s got a hard hit double runners at 2nd and 3rd. Nobody out scoreless game in the top of the third inning. He had javier Sano, the iron man of the second baseman punched in the air to center field. Paris is deep. Mervis is tagging. There will be no throw to the plate. That’s a sack fly. Paris throw the third that keeps hill anchored and the Marlins lead one one to change up, chased and missed. And that will be a strikeout out. Number two in the inning chopper to third has the base runner right near the throw across the first anyway, and that is how the inning will end. That is a pitch there that Paris went after on the appeal. They said he went around. That is the fourth for cabrera the first time through the batting order. He looks good. Two pitch misses low and away anderson went around on a check swing. I didn’t think that was close but anderson is rung up by the crew chief Jordan Baker at first base. That’s a 123 inning. Otto Lopez. The batter, a one pitch Lopez slashes into center field that drops in on one hop for a base hit Paris range to his left and that’s going to be a stolen base. Lopez was on the move and he steals second and with two men out, a runner at second, Connor Norby who struck out his first time and there’s a base hit that will drive in the run for R bi A one hopper into center field. It’s an RB I single and it’s 20 Marlins here in the top of the fourth matt to the strike out for the. So that’s how the inning ends. Two, two pitch, that one cut on and missed 90 7-Up and out Shanell expanded his zone and he strikes out for the second time today. A swinging punch out Cotham curveball again should have known it was coming number seven and that’s the fourth consecutive strikeout. Now for Edward cabrera that one in on Ward’s hands and he rolls it over to the shortstop. Otto, he’s got it, his throw to first in time and the side is retired right on right. Match up Hendricks is overhead kick and deal base hit that was sharply hit in the gap. So Noah round first and he will go to second base. That is going to be a double for seno, his first hit of the series count 3 to 1 with one and a man at second. The pitch Sanchez hits one a mile out to right. That is a hard line drive. So Noah will score yet another double their fourth of the game. An RB I for Jesus sanchez, it’s 3 to 0. Miami with seven strikeouts matching a season high. A guy who has always had good stuff, the Marlins just trying to get him locked in and he has been today, that’s his eighth strikeout. Edward cabrera has not won in of his last 10 starts. His last victory was September 8th of last season and since Then, he’s gone 0 to 3 with a 548 a close to unhittable here today. DNA has one of the two hits breaking ball swing and a miss strikeout number nine for Edward cabrera struck out six of the last seven batters and he’s retired the last nine in a row. One to the left side sliding stop by Lopez first pitch by Wman. It’s gonna go down as an infield hit and the Angels have just their third hit in this ball game. That would have been the second , really nice play on Rengifo where his first at bat hit off the hand of cabrera and it was Lopez that made that play and it was a bang bang play that got reviewed. There’s Joe Adela that played with two outs. The groundball shortstop Lopez will go to second for the out, no damage on that infield single another scoreless inning for Edward cabrera and a couple of K’s and two outs. I’m sure wsh would like to get foul Hendrix through this inning. So no pitching change. Just a little discussion out there. Matt Mervis will be the batter. He has doubled and struck out and he rolls one softly to third fielded by Moncada. The throw in time and one pitch in. That’s all it took to get nervous. The inning is over 53 on the ground out bottom of the sixth coming up. That was just the seven pitch inning for kyle Hendrix. Edward cabrera is off to a tremendous start this afternoon through five, scoreless innings. Cab has not walked him in and he’s punched out nine. It’s his season high in strikeouts the most since he came nine against the Rockies back on May 2nd of last year. He has 10 strikeouts on three occasions in the, his career. He got that time strike out number 10 and this time on the change up and cy is dialed in back to back hitters and now all of a sudden in the form of Taylor Ward. The tying run is coming up that skews the line a little bit. He was on autopilot for a minute there striking out people left and right. But Clayton mccullough heads out there gives Cy a job well done. Knuckle bumps all around for the Marlins in and he jocks off the mound. So cabrera is done. Anthony Bender will enter the contest. He’s trying to keep Edward cabrera for the scoreless outing ballpark starting to get loud. That one cut on and missed a sweeper crept off the outer edge and bender strands Cay’s men at 2nd and 3rd pops out of the middle of the catcher and easily moving up to second base will be Darna and that ends the inning. Anthony gets four outs in this one the final out of the sixth and he spins a scoreless seventh and there’s one man out with the Marlins up three in the home half of the eighth inning. This is Neto who is batting for anderson that would cut on a miss for blows one by Netto top of the strike zone and he deals with both the pinch hitters. Oh ho and Neto bounced out the second. Neto strikes out swinging and there are two men gone for Nolan in on hand. He flares it to left center field, center fielder on the move. Derek Hill sprinting to make the catch. He lays out after he made the grab to kind of stop his sprint but a really nice play by de Hill in left center and that ends a 12, 3/8. Nice clean inning for sets him down 123 with a pair of strikeouts. Angels have the three outs to play with. We head to the bottom of the ninth. It’s 30. Miami. We’ve seen him in the series, Ronnie Henriquez. He’s a right hander. He goes 510. He will be looking for his first save of the season and his first save ever. A one pitch Moncada lines one right at the shortstop auto. That was a changeup at 90 that caught a lot of the plate, but that tailing liner ended up right in the leather of the shortstop Lopez in the shift and that’s, here’s Taylor Ward 10 consecutive games for Ward with an extra base hit a new Angels record surpassing darren Sad. And now he can tie the American League record and waves through that for strike three that ends the streak at 10 for Ward, only one short of the American League record but setting the franchise record, remarkable memorable streak from Taylor Warren and now the Angels are down to their final out Enriquez because after strikes him out, Ronnie Enriquez , your first major league save and the Marlins shut out the Angels win 3 to 0. They take the series two games to one

Let's go Marlins
Great win Marlins let's keep it rolling!!! Buen trabajo muchachos!
Great job all around especially the pitchers. Cabby, bender, faucher, and Henriquez all did outstanding.
You must be doing alright if the commentary team says that's a Greg Maddux special 😅
Go fish!
