Mariners vs. D-backs Game Highlights (6/11/25) | MLB Highlights
It has been a decade since the Diamondbacks have been able to sweep the Mariners. Eduardo Rodriguez second start for E Rod since coming off the injured list. The last time he pitched in this building, it didn’t go well. This is his first home start since he gave up eight earned runs against the Dodgers for the Mariners to start things off that will bring up center fielder Julio Rodriguez. But how about this last 15 games over two weeks, Julio is batting 344 hit hard on the ground. Perdomo can’t get to it one out base hit for julio who is aboard. Julio is on at first base with one away and that will bring up designated hitter today. Cal Raley comes into this one today, 26 home runs leading all of baseball time for third of the majors and ops trailing only judge in O and he walked him, Julio his second Cal Raley at first and traffic right away. They get the force on Cal at second base. They can’t turn the double play. Julio will get to third. Randy is safe at first base break for the Mariners will see if they take advantage, give or a chance to swing the bat. Here’s Polanco Flair and it drops in a shallow right field and works for an RB I base hit for Jorge Polaco and the Mariners take an early one zero lead. Jorge Polanco, a little parachute fly ball softly hit and a shallow right field picks up an RB I and the Mariners have a one nothing lead here in the top of the first inning runners. Now at 1st and 2nd 2 down for Mitch Garver swing and a miss struck him out on three pitches. The inning comes to an end. The Mariners score one but two and there’s one out in the second bases empty for Dylan Moore. Today’s right fielder for the Mariners and there’s another swing and a miss on a fastball, he struck out two, you can throw 678 different pitches, but rely on the ones that you get out, reached four and miss down on strikes and Then it comes to an end, third strike out for E ROD. It’s a 123 2nd, Brian, we will take the ball. He has been very consistent and good this year for the Mariners and hoping for another good start from today against Arizona. This guy has an unbelievable whip for his career. He just does not allow base runners whether it’s hits, whether it’s walks, whether it’s home runs, really does a nice job keeping the ball in the park with an impressive 123 1st. And now Josh Naylor, the designated hitter in the cleanup spot leads off the diamond back. Second. That one is going to drop in for a hit. It’s a leadoff single. Here’s geno check swing. Does he go? Yes, he does strike three. So Brian w with a strikeout and Suarez is still standing at home plate talk with scott Barry. He said, did I go? And he said, yes, you did. The second out of the inning is saved at first on a 46 fielder’s choice. Pavin smith Pavin had a patience series. He’s walked three times a swing and a Miss hit a fastball strike three and that’s going to retire the side. Brian Woo with strikeouts. Number one and two six in a row. Put down by Rodriguez two away. Here’s cal batting from the right side. He walked his first time off the very end of the bat. A soft squier Marte flips it out of the glove and it’s not in time. It’s just your routine. Big dumper infield base hit. There goes Raley on the move. Got him a quick exchange by herrera. A one hop to second. Raleigh is caught stealing for just the second time this year. And boy E Rod, with the exception of that Raleigh single is mowing them down ever since the Polanco Blue RB I hit back in the first. There’s two away ugly swing and Miss by Garver down on strikes. It’s a 12 3/4 inning. Rodriguez has struck out four and we go to the bottom of inning number four. Brian Woo has been excellent so far he has not allowed a run to the Diamondbacks. That’s easier said than done. Taylor had a nice base hit. Have two hits swing on Miss w gets him. That was a beauty wicked movement as a tail inside off the plate. Naylor rips through. That’s a third strikeout for Suz two out single keeps the inning alive. Crawford circles round long flip to Polanco and that is it for Arizona here in the fourth as Brian Wu hangs another zero, we go to the top of the fifth inning Mariners leading the Diamondbacks one to nothing. Donovan Solano leads off the inning down the line left field. Donovan Solano first as a Mariner home run number one for so out there and attempt for his brother in the bullpen. He’s trying to act cool to his brother. You know, he’s beaming inside. Congratulations to Donovan. Last time Solano hit a home run was September of last year for the Padres here at chase. Now two nothing Mariners and he gets the strike out of Moore for the second time. That’s five punch outs for Eduardo out number two and a chance to get out of the inning in pretty quick succession after that home run to Solano swung on and popped up a job well done for E Rod as comes in, he makes the one handed grab. The inning is over Brian who has been excellent. He is held Arizona off the board through five. He’s facing the top of the order. Third time through Corbin Carroll the hitter. He’s had an outstanding series, got a base hit to get it started. Ryan w with just 55 pitches through five, he’s been tremendously efficient and effective but a good start. Finally. Now time for the D back to start chipping away, bring up little player in the center and it gets down for a hit and make it a 24 game on base streak for Kel Marte first to aboard to start the sixth, swung on parachutes. Center field racing in here comes Julio racing in, makes the catch on the move and that’s the first out Naylor who is one for two, a single. He struck out last time. Tough take, how about that? Take that back door slider didn’t quite get their tremendous discipline there from Naylor and now they’re loaded for Geno. That’s the first walk issued by today. The former Mariner Bat with the bases loaded. He’s one for two. He singled last time hits ball. Then it’s gone. Geno grand slam. That’s his third this year. We know it’s Geno and it’s 4 to 2. He homered twice against his former club in Cincinnati and now a big one. The former Mariner gives the Diamondbacks the lead eighth career grand slam in his third this year, Cruz through five innings and Then just through the worst pitch of his outing two down, Smith, the hitter hits one out. It’s going to back up more one and it’s gone a long home run drought for Pa smith comes to an end. That’s number five, the second of the inning for the D Backs and they now take a 5 to 2 lead. The bats have come alive in the sixth and it’s 5 to 2 chopper to second base. Polanco has it tossed to first to get the out and the inning is over but not before a lot of damage. Five on the board including a grand slam by Suarez in the sixth for the Mariners for the second inning in a row, a leadoff double to third Geno with a terrific stop long throw and Pavin with a tremendous play on the other end. Boy Suarez has been a defensive standout throughout this series at third to Lolo out to the mound. He’s going to go get Eduardo Rodriguez. Perhaps he’s got mil ready an outstanding start, likely his best this year. Eduardo Rodriguez will leave in the seventh leading 52. Gives way to the right hander, Juan Murillo that the ball and the walks show up right away for more. He walks the first man that he sees and brings the tie and run to the plate in Miles Masone pitch in first pitch. Mastrini swings grounds it to perdomo, he’s going to step on second for one and the throw to first in time inning ending 63, double play. And just as quickly as the Mariners build a rally, it comes to an end three run lead for Shelby Miller on for the 9th, 27 appearance. Six saves and a 1.69 a and now the Mariners down to their final two outs of the series swing and a miss struck him out two down top of the ninth inning, but the Mariners 5 to 2 and out away from a sweep and soto swings at the pitch and laces this on a line into left field. Donovan Solano has had a good game, a home run and now a two out single and that will bring up can zone remember was can zone in that big four run. Ninth inning with two outs, hit a two run home run that tied the game at four, got him. Diamondbacks get the three game sweep. They get back to 500 on the year today. As of a performance, as you’ll see, Rodriguez was great. The offense needed one big inning and the bullpen who has struggled for much of the first half of the year, they locked it down as the D backs win it by a final once again, a 5 to 2.

I can’t help but still like Eugenio but damn that grand salami hurt.
Moore is absolutely terrible
Seattle Schwepped.
it’s great to see the bullpen lock in and secure the win. hopefully more to come
It turns out the Ms team that did nothing to improve from last season did not improve from last season who could have seen this coming.
It’s a game.
2:14 JINX! And then he allows a base runner.
Mariners right fielder can't even hit a foul ball. I'll pay for the bus ticket to Tacoma if that's why he's still here.
Dbacks sweep the Mariners, thou this was a fun and competitive series
Geno hitting a Grand Slammy against his former Team was so satisfying to watch. Nothing like watching the Mariners fail.
Dbacks, u r killing me.
Sweep, get swept and sweep again…
Go Dbacks!
Mariners are in third place now. Being on top was good while it lasted.
Don't Mariners lead both leagues in strikeouts?
2. no slep on snek 🚫😴🐍✌️
Suarez the goat
5 commercials in 4 min so far. Let’s see how many commercials we can get in. SMH
As the Astros fan, thank you, Diamondbacks!!!!!
It was astonishing to see so many Mariners fans about three weeks ago claiming that they will own the division this year, while stomping all over the Astros. Those fans had the same attitude as Angel Reese because they thought they were the second coming but were just hot for a while.
We need to get one thing clear… the Astros have owned and will own the division for the next several years. The Astros are a dynasty because they have a much more solid foundation than virtually any other team in baseball, although the Dodgers are close.
On another note, the Yankees might keep playing well for the rest of the regular season, but they will do what they always do in the playoffs…choke their ever lovin' guts out as they lose the ALCS to the Stros again.
Good job boys. Now build on this.
Ok this is hilarious the last 3 seriouses (I think that’s a word lol) they sweep the Braves get swept by the reds and then sweep the mariners
Raleigh was safe on the steal.
Mariners, mostly bad timing for 50 years… Example. Top picks in July draft, which Jerry is good at, yet won’t be here for… cuz people are going to shun the team like they haven’t seen since the 80’s. Maybe he’ll stay. Defy bad timing.
🧹
Mariners are swept by the D-Backs and their season most likely with it as well will this team ever get anything right like ever.
Seattle back to their old ways, strike outs and with a few exceptions weak backs, more batting work may outs, pitching is to inconsistent and even woo gets careless,. I had hopes but maybe next year , ha, ha.
Mariners, offense is coming together, they'll be fine.
Question…at 3:24, why did Randy not protect Cal's two-out steal with a swing, count was 1-0, could've made the difference?
Dbaxksss sweeeppp
The longer the Ms stay out of the World Series the better. History remembers the best and the worst, nothing in between. 116 wins and no WS appearances makes the mariners the ultimate record holder on both ends
Go to a game? MAYBE for a Big Dumper Bobblehead. Watch a game in it's entirety? Heck no. Watch the highlights of the M's? Quickly approaching heck no. Same old team different year. Overpaying for old bats that aren't good when they're not on a great team. Lets send Garver home and just give me 10% of his salary instead. It's a win win.
The Mariners are now below .500 🥲
I guess I'll just be rooting for Cal now and see how good he'll be this season because the team looks cooked.
эти безголовые на сиэтлэ слили мне экспресс 382кф
The Mariners will never win as long as they have the teal uniforms.
Dom Solano 3-10027 now, first hr in a decade. Can we give a pitcher who doesn’t have a 4+ era a start
Besbol🇺🇲⚾️
Way to go Diamondbacks
