MLB LIVE🔴 New York Yankees vs Kansas City Royals – Jun 11, 2025 | Full Game MLB 2025 EN VIVO
so almost ready to get underway our starter in this one Seth Lugo and Singi it’s unique these days but he’s more of a pitch to contact type of guy yeah Boogie he doesn’t rely too heavily on the strike out he knows he needs to miss barrels get some soft contact let the defense do work behind him and I think a guy like that can keep a good tempo don’t give hitters time to adjust or think they can move through a ball game and you look up they’re in line for a quality start we’ll see what he’s got in this one swing and a ball lifted left field ray under it brings it in and there’s one down as we take a look now at the New York Yankees lineup and Chris this group has been struggling to put up runs lately well they haven’t been on base a ton and even when they are they haven’t been hitting very well with runners on base so they need a player or two to really step up have some quality at bats hit according to the situation and sort of break out of this i think if they do the rest of this lineup will follow aaron Judge in the box now no balls in a strike one out base is empty right side boots it safe at first no play we’ll see how they score this one gone runner at first bellinger up to hit and that one fouled off bellinger’s dad won a couple of World Series rings in 1999 and 2000 clay was a backup infielder with the New York Yankees [Music] highfly ball down the left field line and that’s a foul ball in the 2023 season Cody’s dad Clay made a trip to Wrigley Field and sat in the right field bleachers to watch his son play that’s kind of cool dad misses the zone going to count one and two two strikes and there’s a ball stays alive that wasn’t an easy pitch to hit it’s much easier to do damage against mistakes but that’s not what that pitch was three and two squirts away a little bit 3-2 got him looking and to Elena well even though he strikes out he saw a lot of pitches and he battled plus it gave the guys behind him an opportunity to see more from the pitcher not the result he wanted but it’s still a good at bat and Paul Goldman will come up to hit and it’s fouled away [Music] headed towards the corner kaggleó flying after this one and makes the grab and that’ll do it one left for the Yankees the Royals will get their chance now in a scoreless ball game major League Baseball is on the show back here at Kaufman Stadium and taking the ball for the Yankees Carlos Rodon Singy he’s kind of a road warrior yeah I definitely say so you know some guys shrink a little bit on the road they’re so used to just you know having the comforts of being at home and having the fans behind them but this guy seems to thrive in adversity and being in some hostile environment so when you have a player like this on your team that goes out there and competes you definitely like your chances away from your home ballpark jonathan India the leadoff batter as he looks at ball one and another ball really close pitch down around the knees there and you could see him asking where it missed probably doesn’t agree but it appears he’s ready to move on to the next pitch swings and misses two and one now instead of letting the hitter get his arms extended tied him up a little bit slightly up slightly in and now two and two two two count and that one lifted in the air center field gisham settles under this one and he makes the catch one away and here now the lineup for the Royals singing this lineup has the benefit of playing behind a great pitching staff they’ve got a really low ERA yeah and you know with that said there’s not as much pressure on the offense but make no mistake about it players want to hit the ball hard and they want to score runs they want to jog around the bases hitting the ball over the fence so regardless of how dominant the staff can be the attitude is we want to go out there and have some fun with the bat so we’ll see one big inning in this one you know could be all they need but you’d like to have multiple big innings there’s the strike 95 of that one the 1-1 is fouled off one down base is empty in the air out towards right center judge snags it for the second out that is good garcia mike El Garcia will hit next he’s going to finish with a new careerhigh in stolen bases chris knee high that’s in for a strike two out base is empty and that one upstairs ball one one ball one strike close one doesn’t get the call two and one that one called just inside i think and on the mound he’s trying to get a little bit of an explanation doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it though but he clearly thought it clipped the corner and that’s in there at the knees two balls two strikes swing at a highf fly ball to left bellinger corral it that is the inning scoreless after one back here in Kansas City new inning getting started jazz Chisum Jr now Jun lugo back to work fouls one off out of play back to our left check swing he went too far and it’s a strike [Applause] ball one there pretty standard high 02 fast ball right there if you’re smart you’ll look for something down in the zone but not too far don’t want to chase that breaking ball in the dirt hacks he misses it’s a strike out that’s tough you see it well i mean that was clearly up and out of the strike zone but that’s one of the hardest things that when you see a pitch out of the hand at eye level that discipline to remember I can’t hit that pitch if I can see it really well at eye level I can’t catch up to that pitch when a pitcher’s got this kind of velocity and now here is Anthony Vulpi the shorts stop takes the ball vulpi measures 5′ 10 in 180 lbs a former first round pick back in 2019 and that one clips the corner carl Dixon doing the umpiring behind the plate and Boo I’m not sure if it’s because he sort of sets up higher than most but one thing to be aware of with Dixon is the high strike not usually a big deal because most players are swinging at pitches up there but we may see some surprise looks from hitters from time to time because that’s just so unusual singy what kind of strike zone is most frustrating for hitters i’d say off the plate away and down and why those are the toughest locations to hit the baseball two two in the count as the game has moved along we see more and more information supplied by teams about the umpires i’ve been in clubhouses where they have pictures of all four umpires nicknames hometowns and as well hobbies listed just so you can kind of small talk the umpire a little bit that’s great left field puts it away for the out two away two out space is empty now it’s Trent Gisham to the plate and that’s a little bit high ball one second inning here no score swing and a miss as he was out front that time now will bullet to second base but he’s got it to end the inning down in order go to Yankees we’ll go to the bottom of the second no score and welcome back to the ballpark bottom of the inning and now it’ll be the cleanup spot for the Royals vinnie Pasquantino there’s the strike at the knees [Music] good eye in that spot one ball two strikes the count [Music] goes down looking oh that’s not the best two- strike fast ball I’ve seen but certainly got away with the location there you know sometimes as a hitter when you’re down in the count you’re so focused on a pitcher painting the black and you just get a little bit locked up on something down the hard of the plate not expecting it and it just kind of freezes you that one out to right judge sizing this one up they got it for out number two that exist the right fieldielder and next up for the Royals Jack Kaggle Leone i’m liking what I’ve seen from him at the dish lately can make it a fivegame hitting streak with a knock in this one they say you’re winning 0 and one and now it’s even up swing and a miss struck him out and it’s a three up three down inning royals bats are quiet there we’ll move to the third with no score and we’re back top half of the third inning here’s the veteran second baseman DJ Lameu oh he doesn’t get the call ball one and a foul ball the pitch to Lameu he had a foul ball next offering is down low it’s two and two and this is inside cut on and miss curve ball struck him out chris as we look back at the pitch sequence he hadn’t seen that curve ball at all how tough is it to adjust to something like that with a bunch of break when you haven’t had a look at it yet yeah I mean you’re dialed up for something firm you never want to take a called third strike as a fast ball so you’re going to be a little anxious before you recognize the pitch and right there clearly didn’t see what was coming jca in the box with one away as he takes ball one one down base is empty hey I got one ball one strike next pitch in for a strike one and two and downstairs that’s inside swinging a ball hit out towards left center field with pulls it in on the run that’s a tough play for the infielder ranging back into the outfield there’s part one of them that’s saying “Hey where you at outfielder call me off.” But he stayed focused and made a nice catch right there back to the top of the Yankee order next is the designated hitter Ben Rice and first offering is fouled off two outs blind into right kaggleó makes the play and it’s out number three so no runs no hits no errors and no one left we move on to the bottom of inning number three we’re tied nothing nothing back here at Kaufman Stadium set for the bottom of the third so here’s the Royals DH nick Loftton first pitch doesn’t find a zone one [Music] that’s in for a strike nasty pitch that’s excellent location on the fast ball right there early in this game if he can do that all game should be a good outing for him cut on and lifted in the air has room and he makes the catch the left field and stepping in the rookie left fielder John Ra and that is downstairs and it’s one and0 the only adjustment he needs to make is his target if you aim at the outside corner that slider’s going to end up way off the plate perhaps look a little more down the middle and you get it right where you want it still tied at zero last of the third and that one almost got him straighten him up a little bit way out front for strike two two balls two strikes that’s down and in good played appearance there able to take the walk and that’s their first base runner of the game and now it’s Kyle Isbel good defender he’s been inconsistent offensively you talk about elite defensive players especially in the middle of the diamond and this guy is at the top of the list and you played behind guys and they love having your speed out there defensively one of the things that we talk about is how much pitchers enjoy having those elite defenders behind them boo and the one thing about that is speed never goes into slump and defense shouldn’t either hittingwise you can struggle you can lose your mechanics but the thing that you can do consistently every single game is play great defense if you’re talented in that way and this is what this guy does fights that one away and the count remains 0 and2 [Music] got him and he’s registered three Ks in this one yeah that’s a tough pitch to stay on you don’t want to get beat inside and as you see that pitch continue to run away from you by the time it’s in the catcher mid you think it’s a ball off the plate away so the Royals batting order turns over jonathan India steps in for the Royals inside just missed two gone but the go-ahead run is at first here in the last half of the third that one is absolutely belted that’s going back some more pulls it in on the warning track so one left for Kansas City and we are still scoreless out of the fourth now it’s Aaron Judge up to the plate he’s not going to get cheated up there no he’s not he’s looking to do damage with every swing he takes and that curveball drops in there for a strike down the line and that will drop foul judge waits waves at the defender for the strike out now there’s a three pitch strike out he can do whatever he wants with the baseball right now one down here comes Cody Bellinger struck out looking at his first at bat this guy who grew up in big league clubouses got to be a nice feeling Sigy when your father played in the big leagues and he passes down all that wisdom missed inside with the curb i can only imagine the comfort level of being in the ballpark for those kids who are fortunate enough to have a dad that played in the big leagues them being on the baseball field for some it’s pressure for them they feel that they are right at home in the dirt and the count is two and two well he might have to look for a different putaway pitch right here 2-2 he’s already seen the curve ball couple of times in this at bat so might have it timed up and ready for it next offering is downstairs fourth inning underway no score swing and a popup foul territory for the catcher and there’s two down no that was a pitch you got to crush unbelievable that he missed it right there and I’m telling you he is going to be frustrated with himself until his next at bat and here’s Paul Goldmith fly to right his first time that misses the zone and that’s ball one two down nobody on top half of inning number four pop foul out of play off to the right in the air left field ray sizes this one up pulls it down and he makes the catch and that is that three up three down for him there to the bottom of inning number four now no score back here in Kansas City ready to go bottom four and the batter will be the shortstop Bobby Wit Jr first pitch just misses well these Royals just lacking discipline at the plate in this ball game they’re chasing a lot of pitches outside the zone and those chases are turning into a bunch of outs can they turn that around and stay within the zone we’ll see but I think they have to that one drifts inside [Applause] delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95 and a strike in there it’s a lead off and that’s the go-ahead run didn’t miss by much right there just couldn’t get the call off the inside corner so digging in Mike Garcia flyed to left his first time and a good fast ball to start him off at that’s strike one pitching well but not throwing a ton of first pitch strikes usually doesn’t work out for runner on the go fouled off he was late missed with a change up now one and two with two strikes they see some movement over there at first base trying to stay out of the double play right here this one in the air Goldie and there’s one down the first number nine Vinnie Pentino so up now for Kansas City vinnie Pasquantino went down on strikes his first time through runner runner on the move pitch outside throw to second and great jump yeah nights like this where it seems harder to score i like the call to put him in motion and try to steal the base ball’s not carrying no home runs so far so trying to manufacture some offense like this may be the way to go the Royals hitless so far in the game runner on to go again there’s a ball throw to third and he’s in there easily and the go-ahead run is now only 90 ft away [Applause] rod sets and deals evidently not too impressed with that call and it feels like he got squeezed on the outside corner so he’s making his case you’ve got to be careful to pick your spots in terms of showing your frustration with the umpire and he felt this was his time and ball four to a kid came apart right there four pitch walk and guy at the plane was not going to help him out by swinging at something out of his own two on one out and the batter now Salvador Perez he’s 0 for one reaches but can’t make the grab run scores easily and the Warriors strike first it’s one- nothing well a swing like that can help you come out of the struggle we saw the numbers coming into the ball game but all he’s trying to do at this point is help his team win first and second one out kaggle Leone the next to hit line drive base hit coming home the throw in first slide safe at the plate and they lead by two puts a run on the board and picks up an RBI nice job of driving that pitch the other way on a line you know hitters they take so many reps in the cages working on going to the opposite field and it doesn’t always translate into the game but right there it did and he did it perfectly here’s the Royals designated hitter Nick Loftton check swing and he went 01 [Music] swing and a miss and that’s strike two quickly in an 02 count you got to figure out a way to shorten your path to the baseball put it in play somewhere then you got a chance and that just misses down in moved his feet two walks in the inning already and he just doesn’t seem comfortable out there like he can find the right mechanics and then repeat them the pitch breaks his bat and pops it up lameu off balance feed there’s one but no throw to first as he’ll hold on to it now back Ray john Ray steps in for the Royals worked a walk in his first trip to the plate and that’s in for a strike man i mean nice job just presenting it to be better than it actually was right through there for a strike and a bat like this is almost over as it begins in this situation you have no idea what the next pitch is going to be you just got to hope that you can make contact and that’s too high perez the runner at third loftton on first with two down now one miss two down in the air center field gisham gets under it makes the grab and that is the third out of the inning but two runs for him and they jump ahead we played four it’s the Royals two and the Yankees nothing and welcome back to the ballpark ready now for the fifth inning and stepping in for the Yankees Jazz Chisum Jr Lugo back to work highfly ball out towards left center ray on the move to the gap hauls it in for the almost a loud start to the inning on that first pitch man he’s going to want that one back no doubt and now the shorts stop anthony Vulpi fly to left his first time chopped to third tosses across to first play is made two out number 12 now here’s Trent Gisham 0 for one so far he’s been going after these guys consistently and as a result he’s been able to keep his pitch count low throwing the ball very well right now and that one is downstairs one and0 well the offense has gotten going and a pitcher wants to go out there have a real quick inning get those guys back into the dugout so those bats can stay hot swinging a foul out of play ending finish and so now one and two looking sharp just a strike away from five shut out innings just misses with that one that’s good pitch there really had some run and finished little up and end just on the edge and that’s one of those if you swing at it he had a broken back ah he locked him up and that’ll do it the inning is over so the Yanks go in order and they’re down two nothing and we’re back john Shabi with my buddy Chris Singleton and set to get us started bottom five Kyle Isel let’s go come on you can do it ball one no strikes isbel in his fourth year 28 years old and he was a third round pick back in 2018 swings through that i think he was sitting off speed there got a ball one strike the 1-1 is fouled off that missed by a lot now two and two base hit and that turns the lineup over the batter number six second base back to the top of the lineup now it’s the second baseman Jonathan India 0 for two in this one take it high in the draft he’s had that top prospect labeled over him since he put on a professional uniform but at some point that starts to go away and you’ve got to produce at the big league level and that drops in for a strike that slider breaking in can be a tricky pitch if you don’t finish it and have that bite at the end and it stays out over the plate it can get hit a long way but that was a good one right there runner at first with no outs here and that clips the inside corner one ball two strikes [Music] [Music] that’s a ball definitely a swing and miss slider down and in he finished that really well just couldn’t get him to offer at it and that one in the air center field gisham is there makes the catch the batter number seven Bobby Wit now here’s Bobby Whit Jr this guy is one of the best athletes in the sport ru Ruer takes off out in front and fouled to the left side [Music] the shorts stop takes the ball movement in the Yankees pen ryan Yarro getting loose out there for Aaron Boone hamilton the right-hander also getting loose man at first one away swings and hits one in the air out towards right field no trouble here puts it away for the out and there’s two away up next for the Royals the third baseman here’s the third baseman Mikel Garcia now snap throw to first back in safe really close clips the corner and that’s strike one two outs and there’s a ball where you see a pitcher just to waste a pitch like that the batter wasn’t even tempted to swing every pitch needs to have a purpose so that it can set up a following pitch to help you get that out rodon fires bows it off still one and two [Music] there goes the runner fouls that off to the left and will do it again [Music] just misses the mark outside the zone this guy’s a fun guy to watch taken at bat he just battles up there he doesn’t take a pitch off at all makes it so difficult on the pitchers out there you can tell they get frustrated with how long it takes to put him away and now the count is full and another power hitter lurking in the on deck circle right through there got him he didn’t make it easy for him on the mound but they still get the strikeout royals leave one as they’re unable to add to their two nothing lead back here at Kaufman Stadium all right we go to the top half of inning number six here’s DJ Lamew that’s too low ball one you know these Yankees they’re not going to be happy with the at bats they’ve been having so far just one base runner to this point and it’s not exactly early anymore they have guys in this lineup capable of sparking something but it just hasn’t happened for them yet next offering way upstairs rolled softly but that goes foul foul ball another 2-2 upcoming well you can’t really adjust your game plan for that last pitch guy hasn’t thrown it very much you got to focus on the stuff that he’s throwing up there most of the time [Music] spoils that one and it remains two and two swing and a highf fly ball out towards right center field kaggleó makes a nice running catch every day during batting practice these outfielders get about 10 minutes of balls in the gaps they practice this and when the game comes they make the play perfectly slap the other way foul that one hammered but pulled foul oh I think the key I mean if he can get through one more inning anything after that a hitter or two is bonus but they should be lined up good enough to get to the finish line foul ball it stays nothing and two base is empty one away and we’re the top half of the sixth that one’s upstairs ball one one ball two strikes to count one down base is empty and that one misses up and in two and two still just the second batter of the inning and on the mound he’s already thrown 13 pitches they got him working hard out there and that one missing low [Music] gets a piece and stays alive now he’s desperately looking for that swing and miss he’s going to have to just change speeds a little bit try to move it around create just a little bit of illusion at the end and that wasn’t even close ball four that’s a great at bat he saw a lot of pitches and earned a walk well that’s a nice job of grinding out that at bat saw a lot of pitches and ends up drawing the walk very gritty rice up to him for the third time as he lays off inside ball one come on slashes this one and it could be trouble lead runner makes the turn at second rounds third headed for the plate he’ll score picks himself up an RBI as a hitter there’s not a whole lot better of a feeling than a double into the gap right off the bat you know you put a great swing on the baseball it’s Aaron Judge now one for two this one chopped on the ground but fouled rice over at second one down oh one judge comes up empty there well he knows they don’t want to give him anything to hit but when you’ve got opportunities to drive in runs you’ve got to expand the zone he’s capable of going out there and doing damage with it got him swinging zoe picks up his sixth strike out of the ball game and here comes Bellinger he’s been such a good hitter with runners in scoring position some guys just take it to another level for him right now at the plate it’s like everyone else is in slow motion and he’s in full speed fall off foul and one right through there for a strike oh this guy so comfortable hitting with two strikes even a good pitch early in the at bat if he’s not ready to pull the trigger he’s not worried if he gets to an 02 count foul ball still 0 and2 definitely got the hitter conscious of the pitch inside really think the outer half is open spoils the two strike pitch and he’ll see another runner at second two down one ball two in the dirt blocked no movement now a ball and two strikes and belly goes down on strikes he’s in a tough spot had to make a great pitch did it got the strike out kicks out of the jam clearly he’s happy with those results back now for the bottom of the sixth and there’s a new pitcher on the mound Ryan Yarro he’s been so good against lefties now it’ll be the cleanup hitter for the Royals Vinnie Pasquantino he is struck out and he is walked misses inside ball one well these Royals putting together some really good at bats in this game there’s been a lot to like with how they’re approaching their chances at the plate they really made that opposing starter work in this one ran his pitch count up and now they’ve got an opportunity to continue making things difficult on the bullpen and no they haven’t broken through in a big way in the runs column but with the way they’re grinding out at bats it definitely feels like there’s potential for more coming and they’ll do it again next offering upstairs [Music] good job to fight that one off still two and two after the foul ball full count [Music] knocks that one away and we’ll do it again to third jazz tosses the first so they get the out after a long battle at the plate number 13 Salvador and now it’s Salvador Perez to the plate just missed meanwhile activity in the bullpen mark Lighter Jr up and loosening in the pen sliced hard but foul that’s in there and that’s strike two one ball two strikes just off the outside edge well I think he’s trying to get a feel for where that one missed i mean it could have gone either way but he looked a little shocked for a second there and it’s fouled off they’ll do it again here’s a 2-2 that to right judge sizing this one up out number two now batting right two down base is empty jack Kaggle Leone getting ready to hit and first pitch fast ball is in for a strike just missed sharp grounder and that’s through for a base hit and that extends the inning now Patty the designated hitter now it’s the DH Nick Loftton [Music] swing and a miss nice change up 0 and one he swings and fouls one off [Music] 0 and2 now battling here as he fouls it away this one smoked out to left bellinger makes the play and that’s the third out so one left for Kansas City but they still lead it two to one back here in Kansas City top of inning number seven and now the first baseman Paul Goldmid well he’s back out there to begin the seventh that surprise you at all Chris yeah a little bit it was a little rough sixth inning there but his skipper’s got a lot of confidence in him but trust me they will keep a close eye on how he does in this one yeah that’s fouled all looking to get the tying run on base line drive and this might be trouble into second base the tying run is on with a leadoff double just so sound in his mechanics hits against a firm front side and the hands just continue to carry through the middle of the field here comes the manager out of the dugout and he’ll make a move for the bullpen seth Lugo departs really solid performance out of him as he leaves with a slim lead we’ll take a break new arm when we get back anel Serpa gets the call from the pen and as relievers go he’s not a big strikeout guy tries to force weak contact so command and execution are huge for him so the tying run in scoring position now chisum digs in now that pitch gets the inside corner strike one with a single base runner because of all the power they are dangerous to tie this thing up or take the lead and that one fouled off looked like he got a little excited on that fast ball got to think to yourself you want to stay up the middle that way if you’re a little bit early you hit it out of the ballpark you’re a little late opposite field not that’s foul off to the right side keeps the AB going so the tying run at second that one missing inside with the tying run at second here in the top half of inning number seven that one just missing inside ball two ripped to short tosses to first he made the pitcher earn that out after a long at bat you want to be a great defense you have to deliver consistently it doesn’t matter how many highlight reel plays you make if you can’t execute the small stuff just like we saw Vulpi in the box for the third time today as he takes that one off the plate doublebarreled action in the bullpen john Shriber getting ready to go cameron the lefty warming up as well right through there for a strike [Music] man at second fouled off he was late up the middle in plenty of time to first and that is out number two well there’s a lot riding on that at bat right there nice job of the pitcher to bear down make the pitch get the ground ball excellent piece of work so the batter now will be Trent Gisham he’s been really clutch with runners in scoring position this season so they’ll have to be extra careful in this matchup swings and pulls a foul to the right side the tying run is 90 ft away that’s towards center isbel under this one squeezes it and that’s the third out a lot of adrenaline we can see it right there and sometimes you just got to let it out that’s an outstanding job of taking that executing and getting out of a tough inning we’re back in a new pitcher here to start the bottom of the seventh ian Hamilton and he’s had a really hard time throwing strikes so far this season his walk rate is up there among the worst in the league for relievers well one-run game now the left fielder John Rae ray and that one wrapped foul [Music] that’s down and in a slider missed that’s off the mark and a count two and one that’s down and in first pitch strike from the pitcher but then no panic at all by the hitter very patient showing good discipline now he’s in the driver’s seat with a 3-1 count hit on the ground to the right side lameu is there handles throws to first and they get the leadoff hitter in the seventh number 28 Kyle Isel at the plate kyle Isbel highfly ball on that one curling foul down the right side ball one the one-1 is fouled off one down base is empty keeps the bat going with a foul ball that one in the dirt and it’s two and two on the ground to short zips it to first two up two down [Music] two out space is empty jonathan Indie at the plate three fly outs already he’s 0 for three that one catches the zone strike one dangerous spot for that slider right there didn’t seem to quite finish out front and get that sharp break tell you what he doesn’t want to throw that pitch again and there’s a foul ball two down doan fights that one away still one and two stays alive [Music] and he hits a ground ball right side whips it to first royals set down in order nothing doing for the Royals as they’re unable to add to their 2-1 lead welcome back and a new arm of the mound to start the eighth noah Cameron he doesn’t get a lot of strikeouts compared to other relievers so he relies on getting that soft contact and the defense doing work behind him they’ll have to be on their toes with him on the bump dj Lamew to start things off and the first pitch misses for ball one and a strike there to Lame here and a count one and two this one popped up foul ground first base side one up one down and now the catcher comes up to him jca corner infielders guarding the lines trying to prevent extra bases first off bringing it just misses one and another ball fast ball for a strike holding on to a one-run lead and we’re in the top of the eighth and that is out of play i wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball try to go again with a fast ball slightly elevated he just having a hard time catching up on the ground right side steps on first for the out that’s why you hug the lines on the corners late in the ball game like this positioned perfectly ben Rice will hit next cameron 25 years old and he was drafted in the seventh round in 2021 that one’s in there strike one well as good as things can be it can be a tough day at the office even for the skippers seeing the offense just sputter not able to get anything going finish lefty continues to work but the closer getting loose in the bullpen that one ripped headed one hops the wall and the double puts the tying run in scoring position with two away back against the wall with two strikes but found a way hooked around that pitch on the outside but he was still able to square it up pretty nicely and that takes quick strong wrist to pull that off a chance now to even the score and maybe extend this game here is Aaron Judge he gets the intentional walk here and now a force at any base with two gone well it doesn’t get much easier with this next batter but I totally understand going with the intentional walk in that spot he’s just too dangerous at the plate right now and there’s a base open so it gives you options defensively to get it out big spot and Cody Bellinger stepping to the dish and a fast ball misses outside for a ball and that’s ball one two on two outs ripped down the line base hit runner around third on his way to the plate he’ll score easily it’s an RBI single tie game here in the eighth well there you go the RBI machine another clutch runcoring at bat yeah he’s been so good in these situations call it clutch if you want but his resume speaks for itself and the Royals manager making his way towards the mound now as he will make the move noah Cameron will depart and it’s a tie ball game as he heads for the dugout back with a new arm after a quick break new pitcher in the game for the Royals John Shriber well I got to think he probably has a little extra in the tank facing his former team man there’s not a player in the league that doesn’t get a little extra motivation when he plays against his old squad so the go-ahead run is into scoring position and next will be the cleanup hitter Paul Goldmith that’s a strike going on ball game is still tied they can get out of this inning with a tie game runner edges away at second in the air foul off first he’s under it and that’s the third out but they pick up one run on the RBI single edward deadlock now at two apiece back now new pitcher on the mound as we roll into the bottom of the eighth jonathan Loisa pablo Reyes now in the game as he comes in as a new right fielder bobby Whit Jr steps in for the Royals the emmo for him is contact a guy who’s going to deliver average not a ton of power he’s looking to hit a line drive somewhere well that’s why it’s a team and when you look at a lineup he’s a great two-hole hitter or a guy that you could put at the bottom to help turn that lineup over to have some momentum for your top hitters coming up to the plate [Music] swinging a ground ball towards first but foul lisa fires and now one and two that one off the bad part of the bat just a lazy fly ball no trouble here puts it away for the out one away good pitch he just kind of had him out in front on that pitch away and wasn’t able to stay closed and to the plate for Kansas City Mikel Garcia 0 for three in this one and ball one activity in the bullpen for the Yankees mark Lighter Jr a right-hander with big strikeout stuff is getting it fired up hedrick also getting ready all tied up near the bottom half of the eighth inning just missed he hasn’t wanted to challenge him both of those pitches off the plate away don’t expect anything down the heart of the plate you may just have to be patient and take your walk here and a foul ball makes the count two and one out front rip foul one down base is empty struck him out looking with the off speed stuff so here’s the cleanup hitter Vinnie Pasquantino here’s a swing and a line drive and that’s a base hit into right field so a two out knock keeps the inning alive and puts the go-ahead run on base man those are the types of hits where you don’t feel any vibration in your hands whatsoever such a good feeling absolutely punished that pitch wasn’t fooled in the slightest 109 off the bat i think that means you put a pretty good swing on it salvi steps into the box now swinging a foul out of play and that’s off the inside edge and it’s one and one two gone the possible go ahead run at first [Applause] next pitch is downstairs [Applause] in the air right side and that will end the inning royals leave one score remains deadlocked to 2-2 and welcome back to the ballpark now the third baseman Jazz Chisum Jr and the first pitch misses for ball one counts one and0 swang and a ball lifted in the air w calls it in for the out that’s a really nice play ranging back into the outfield for that catch we all know those can be a little tricky especially if the wind swirling around out there anthony Vulpi the next to hit and takes low for ball one base is empty one away here in the top of the ninth fought off foul one down base is empty the short stop takes a ball went with the sweeper but it misses he’s getting squeezed a little bit here trent Gisham in the on deck circle hoping to get a chance to make a big impact here and that one fouled off on its way to the corner and a foul ball strike three went back to the sweeper and got the strike out he’s locked in at the plate when he’s using the whole field he was out in front there just needs to let the ball travel a little more and his timing will be back on track good pitch for the strike out trent Gisham stepping in now for the Yankees 0 for three with two fly outs and a strikeout that clips a corner hard on the ground to first he takes it himself to the bag and that’ll do it so they go quietly there 678 scheduled to start the bottom of the ninth we are tied 2-2 so bottom of the ninth now it’s the right fielder Jack Kaggle Leone loisa back to work right down to shoot that’s strike one movement in the Yankees pen devin Williams getting loose out there for Aaron Boone [Music] just misses and it’s one and two that’s awfully close i don’t know how you take that he’s seeing the ball out of the pitcher’s hand really well right now that’s hard hit in the line ball game a solo shot and the Royals walk it off and win it 32 [Applause] [Music] hitting a walk-off homer is the kind of thing you dream about growing up you’re in the backyard you’re creating the most pressure packed scenario and what do you do you come through with the big swing well he was living a childhood moment right there nice swing in the back nice win for the team a 32 final score in this one for Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the show i’m John Shami we’ll see you soon [Music] double Double [Music] [Music]
