all right so let’s get to the meat and potatoes st louis and milwaukee the game will be played at uh milwaukee with an opening pitch slated for 7:40 eastern time contrast of starting pitchers tonight what i mean by that is age-wise as the veteran sunny gray goes for the st louis cardinals while the milwaukee brewers will go with highly touted jacob mizorowski who will be making his first ever major league baseball start tonight actually first major league baseball appearance misarowski is uh currently ranked the number 68 overall prospect in ma in uh baseball right now and uh it’s no surprise that st louis comes in here as a minus 135 moneyline favorite the total is either seven and a half or eight depending on where you look sunny gray has been in terrific form over his last four starts posting at a 107 ra during that time also striking out 30 and walking only two in 25 in the third innings pitched and the cardinals went 4-0 uh in those starts by sunny gray uh milwaukee uh averages 2.32 extra base hits per game that’s low uh by major league baseball standards as a matter of fact sunny gray this year has gone 7-0 in his team starts versus teams like milwaukee that averaged 2.75 or less extra base hits per game and the cardinals won those seven games by 4.1 runs per outing uh st louis is also 6-0 in their last six when sunny gray is their starting pitcher they’re 11-2 this year with sunny gray as their starter and gray is also uh 92 and two uh when it comes to the first half first five inning uh moneyline bets that’s 92 and two including 40 and one in his last five and we’re going to get to that why i just mentioned that later uh milwaukee 12 and 21 this year as an away dog of plus 100 or greater and that includes three and seven at home so they’ve done awfully well as a favorite but when they in the role of it as an underdog uh the sports books have been pretty good at uh given a reason why they make them an underdog because they’ve had little to uh very little success uh rookie jacob mizerowski again 23 years old uh highly toted prospect he’s coming uh off 13 appearances at triple a nashville this year 12 of which were starts he went 63 and a third innings pitched in those 13 appearances and posted an excellent 213 erra and he’s a power pitcher folks he struck out 80 batters in those 63 and a third innings pitched but he’s been a four to five inning guy at aaa and i don’t see anything changing in that regard again you’re looking at a young power pitcher uh that’s probably on a pitch count uh on top of the fact his pitch count probably goes up quite considerably because he gets a lot of strikeouts so uh there’s a lot of deep counts and his fast ball topped out at 103 miles per hour in a game versus memphis on may 15 so this guy’s a power pitcher but as we know uh you can get away with strictly being a power pitcher in the minor league level uh you’re going to have to have an assortment of pitches be beside your fast ball at the major league level although uh i am not u shortch changing his talent level whatsoever uh really tough spot here as as a rookie uh against a veteran starting pitcher and uh again i don’t like what i’ve seen from the st louis bullpen recently and been they’ve been very shaky especially on the road this year so i’m going to shorten this game to a five inning uh contest and i’m going to go with the st louis cardinals as a uh run line favorite of uh a half a run at moneyline odds of plus 105 as a first five inning bet over the milwaukee brewers again st lewis as a run line first half wager minus one minus 0.5 or half a run at moneyline odds of plus 105 against milwaukee folks i’ve been on a terrific premium picks streak over the last 30 days or so uh all sports 39 and 21 65% uh up over 46 units major league baseball premium picks 26 and 14 65% up over 28 units um major league or all totals not just major league baseball totals all totals in all sports 15 and five run nba run right now 12 and three the last 15 up over just shy i should say of 27 units and since 2022 my nba playoff picks continue to roll 148 and 103 59% and up 131 units since 2022 with my nba playoff picks i’ll have a winning pick up uh no later than tomorrow morning on friday night’s game four uh between the indiana pacers and the oklahoma city thunder so stay tuned for that folks um don’t forget to
