MLB LIVE🔴 Milwaukee Brewers vs St. Louis Cardinals – Jun 12, 2025 | Full Game MLB 2025 EN VIVO
and welcome in everybody glad you’re with us mlb the show has action out of the NL Central it’s the St louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers joined by my partner Chris Singleton i’m John Shambi singing today of course will be treated to the sausage race and some really good baseball yeah these fans love their Brewers and I love the way they run the show here in Milwaukee i mean the fans are into it they bring it just about every home game and there’s a lot of fun tradition carried on in this ballpark as you mentioned all right we’ll be back to get this one started after this all right first pitch coming up our starting pitcher in this one Aaron Savali well no doubt about it he’s going to have to put together some consistently good performances in order to bring that erra down now he’s got good stuff he’s just got to be able to have confidence trust it and really go after hitters not nibble trust that his stuff can have late life and miss barrels of bats lars Nbar the leadoff batter as he looks at ball one first pitch 640 outside now two and 0 that one fouled off the 2-1 popped up contrarus in position brings it in and there’s one away now we take a check of the St louis Cardinal lineup they’re facing a pitcher today who’s prone to giving up homers so we’ll see we might get some big swings here today yeah i think the key though and the reason why he gives up those homers is that guys are locking in they’re aggressive and they have a high confidence level so I think if that’s the approach these hitters take with the stuff he’s got there on the mount yeah there’s a good chance that there’ll be some balls that fly a long way but you can’t get too big in your swing otherwise you’ll be really frustrated after this one mason Win batting with one down takes the strike in the air out towards left center cameron makes the grab two down batting third the designated hitter Brendan two outs space is empty and up next for St louis Brendan Donovan there’s the strike one strike [Music] that one finds the zone that is strike two this guy’s not wasting any pitches hitters got to get into swing mode this is a good time to expand the zone throw something maybe down in the dirt and the righty deals just missing there and the count one and two see if you can go upstairs a little bit make sure you miss up and out of the zone since you’re heading the count one too don’t miss in the zone cuz that’s where you can get hurt fouls it off still one and two two outs base is empty swings through that one it’s a strike out it’s the Cardinals nothing and the Brewers coming to bat it’s Major League Baseball and it’s on the show back here with my pal Singi and on the hill in this one Riley O’Brien and Chris pitching on the road has not been particularly kind to him yeah and you don’t want to be too quick to say that he can’t pitch on the road sometimes you know it’s just a matter of luck it’s not having a feel difference between the bullpin mount to the mount out there on the playing field don’t know what it is but I know this he’s got good enough stuff to overcome and get it done on the road as well as at home so we’ll see what he’s able to do in this one jackson Chorio the leadoff batter as he looks at ball one swing and a line drive that’s a base hit into right field so a man on base to start the inning i don’t know how he’s able to shoot that pitch the other way and still put something on that pitch was inside and he let it get really deep so pretty incredible hands to fight it off and still get good wood on it and now a chance to maybe get creative on offense with good speed on first and now it’s William Contrarus first offering and it just misses [Applause] that one hit at the knees for a strike well as a hitter you’re hoping that the command on that sinker doesn’t come until later in the ball game but if that’s how it’s going to be all day it’s going to be a tough one for the offense hit in the air left field nukebar pulls it in and there’s one away batting third the designated hitter let’s take a look at the Brewers lineup someone who makes things happen for them in part with his legs bryce Terra and Boo we’re talking about a guy who has great wheels and then puts him to good use he’s the team leader in stolen bases and runs scored man using his speed to just get into scoring position and then just flying home when the guys behind him put the ball in play i absolutely love watching him do it because he causes havoc on the base pads [Applause] runner on the go to the right side gets it to first no chance at the double play with the runner in motion batting fourth the first baseman three Reese Hoskins to the plate [Applause] first pitch misses [Applause] hoskins pushes a foul [Music] man on second two down that one lifted to left nuke Bar moves under it makes the grab and that is that milwaukee leaves one scoreless after one back here at American Family Field second inning set to go wilson Contrarus now up to the plate [Music] savali back to work and that one cutting but missing down low and that’s outside and that’s ball two clyde Washington with home plate duties in this one little bit of a low zone boo from Clyde nothing crazy though pitchers that work consistently down around the knees and are able to command their offspe stuff tend to have some pretty good success with him back there behind the plate [Music] [Applause] and that one pulled foul and now the count is full and another power hitter lurking in the on deck circle that one down the line and it goes just fouled the 3-2 is outside and it’s ball four and that’s how they get their first base runner of the game batting the catcher Ivon and now it’s Ivon Herrera ruer takes off in the air left field cameron sizes this one up calls it in for the out and there’s one down batting six the third baseman Nolan Aronado here’s Nolan Aronado good defender he’s been inconsistent offensively come on blind drive that’s a base hit into right field they get it in quickly so first and second now one out waste no time there anytime you rip a line drive the other way you feel really good about what you did at the plate you trusted your hands you let the ball travel and you took the barrel straight to it that’s great work right there alec Burlson next up for the Cardinals he’s someone that really beats up on right-handed pitching the lefties however give him a little bit more trouble cameron under this one and there’s two away batting the second base Nolan Gorman here’s Nolan Gorman how many times have we seen an early at bat change the course of a game it happens every night in baseball and maybe it happens again here curve ball drops in there [Applause] got him looking third out a lot of adrenaline we can see it right there and sometimes you just got to let it out that’s an outstanding job of taking that executing and getting out of a tough inning we head to the bottom of the second now for Milwaukee Dez Cameron run swang in a line drive ripped right center field scott makes the catch for the O and a quick out number one batting six the right fielder now and now here’s a speed threat outfielder S freelick he’s going to finish with a new careerhigh in stolen bases chris you can do it all right let’s win pitch is in for a strike it’s 0 and one in the air out to center scott snags it on the run that’s just a really nice catch on the run right there he’s saved extra bases for sure if the pitcher’s his friend he’ll give him a second to catch his breath before he’s ready to deal the next pitch well off to a great start he’s really cruising out there on the mound he’s got a chance to get through these first two innings with under 20 pitches that could set him up to go deep into this game number 21 now at the plate as he swings through strike one and a swing and a miss there man that was pretty gross right there that one misses now one and two well that’s kind of what you expect in an 02 count excellent job of the hitter to have the plate disciplined to lay off of that pitch way outside and the count is two and two fouls that off to the left and will do it again and it remains two and two ninth pitch of the at bat do next that’s down and in wow this guy’s really battling up there as if his run is the game-winning run i love his tenacity [Music] fouled off again and it remains three and two about to see the 11th pitch of the bat here and a popup right side foul territory and that will end the inning three up three down for Milwaukee we’ll move to the third with no score back here in Milwaukee and stepping in is the speedy Victor Scott liner to second and picked on the hop fires over to Hoskins leadoff man retired here in the third now batting the left fielder Lars Nbar back to the leadoff spot in the St louis lineup now the left fielder Lars Nbar first time up was a pop out and that’s off the outside edge and it’s one and0 new bar hitting lead off in today’s game and he was drafted in the eighth round back in 2018 and that’s in there for a strike and now it’s even well we call that keyholeing even though it’s right there and looks pretty good if he doesn’t love it he’s not going to swing that early in the count [Music] way out front for strike two it looked like that curveball backed up on him and although it’s a mistake it works out really good for the pitcher the hitter timed it up expects it to be to a certain spot and it just doesn’t get there swing and a miss struck him out now that so digging in Mason win fly to left his first time [Music] and that’s in for a strike one strike that one pushed foul two down nobody on and down on strikes he goes make it four strikeouts for him on the bump today one two three go to Cardinals and we’re still knotted at zero ready to go for the last half of the inning now it’s the short stop joseph Ortiz Ortiz pitches in the dirt and that’s ball one [Music] late swing fouled all that one’s backed up the middle and it gets through man aboard on the leadoff single timing on the swing was good able to shoot the ball didn’t square up as much as he probably would have liked but that’s a good approach paying off and now let’s see if they force some action with good heels on the bases this is Bryce Terra third baseman playing on the edge of the grass looking for the sack bunt ground ball right side could be two on the run throw to first it’s there and that’s a great play that’s a good piece of hitting right there the job was to move the runner up and give your team a chance to score the go-ahead run that’s exactly what happened so you better believe your teammates are happy with you after that at bat choro the next to hit takes outside [Applause] and there’s a ball two balls no strike [Music] two and0 to Cal here it comes this one chopped on the ground but fouled and he hits a ground ball right side and that’s just foul ortiz leads off second with one gone in the inning grounded to Gorman over to first play is made two out now batting catcher William so the go ahead run in scoring position william Contreras up now for the Brewers and he takes one right on the black strike one if I’m at the dish right now I am aggressive over the heart of the plate this guy’s been filling up the strike zone so you know you’re going to get a good pitch to hit and as nasty as his stuff is you might as well take all three swings swing and a miss and he struck him out huge strike out there so one hit is all they get on to inning number four we’re tied nothing nothing and we’re back john Shiy with Chris Singleton and set to lead off the fourth Brendan Donovan pitch misses ball one he’s been pitching well but going through this middle of the order second time through we’ll see what kind of adjustments are being made and that one is downstairs and now 2 and 0 center field chios it in and there’s one away now batting the first base Wilson here’s Contrarus now walked his first time swinging a ground ball up the middle whips it to first and Contras is retired well he’s doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air lets the defense work behind him with another ground ball good execution so up next Ivon Herrera flyed to left his first time just missed two down nobody on top half of inning number four on the ground right side slings to first and he has thrown four shut out innings and down in order go the Cardinals and we are still scoreless and welcome back to the ballpark and now the DH Christian Yell and the first pitch misses for ball one well these Brewers just lacking discipline at the plate in this ball game so many of their outs have come from weak contact on pitches they’re chasing outside of the strike zone you can’t do much of anything with those locations and that’s been true again today next offering is in for a strike and as a pitcher when the hitters are swinging at everything you feel no need to challenge inside the zone you just keep working the corners and expanding that strike zone and beyond and they just keep eating right out of your hand [Music] that one ripped right center field that’s back there hits the fence safe at second with a leadoff double really nice job with two strike hitting in that at bat absolutely blasted that one into the gap but just didn’t have quite enough to clear the wall out there maybe a little more elevation under it and it carries over but that’s a swing you’ll be happy with every time now let’s see if they can put up the first run of the game and the batter now is Reese Hoskins he’s 0 for one right side burlson moving under this one makes the catch runner tags at second and the throws offline safe at third the left fielder number 20 daz Cameron daz Cameron at the plate fly ball to the outfield for a sack fly soft ground ball to the right side find a hole he can attack this a few ways but the one thing he can’t do is strike out swaging a chopper throws the first in time now two away as they get a run across so two down now and here is South Freeman fly to center his first time take it high in the draft he’s had that top prospect labeled over him since he put on a professional uniform but at some point that starts to go away and you’ve got to produce at the big league level there’s a strike [Music] [Applause] that one ripped and that’s a fair ball around first and hustling for second and he’ll pull in there with a stand up double that was a thing of beauty he may have been a little behind the pitch but by getting that barrel into the hitting zone early on in his swing he was able to meet it and still shoot a line drive down the line and left here’s the third baseman 0 for one so far check swing called strike [Applause] man at second outside with a breaking ball [Applause] all sliders so far in this at bat to get ahead in the count and clearly shows there was a game plan in mind for how to attack him in the box knocks that one away and will do it again runner at second two down we’re here in the bottom of the fourth in the dirt tag C he’s into third on the wild pitch have to be really sure you can make it safely to third when you’re in scoring position and two outs got to get that run across very important does a nice job of reading it gets to third base now just 90 ft away [Applause] up the middle quinn in plenty of time to first they limit the damage here they get a run on two hits no errors and a man left onto the top of the fifth we go it’s the Brewers one and the Cardinals nothing back here at American Family Field new inning getting started at the plate nolan Aronado savali back to work out in front with the swing and that is strike one you know these cards to put it bluntly need to put together more competitive at bats and I don’t think they’ve lived up to their own expectations at the plate they really haven’t worked many deep counts or long at bats and that’s fine if you’re having a lot of success but at this point I think it’s time to make an adjustment and a swing and a miss now five strikeouts for him on the M and I really like the ability to bounce back right there after not getting the call he probably should have gotten he didn’t let it affect his focus and he came back with another good pitch to get him swinging and stepping in for the Cardinals Alec Burlson swings through that one one strike one out base is empty [Music] and it’s one and one in the air left field cameron calls it in and there’s two away now batting second baseman Nolan nolan Gorman next up for the Cardinals caught looking his first time up that misses and that is ball one just missed [Music] popped up to the left into foul ground he’s got it and that’ll end the inning nothing doing there for St louis they’re down one- nothing back here in Milwaukee bottom of the inning up now for Milwaukee joseph Ortiz ortiz brewers that catches the top part of the zone one headed towards the corner burlson on the move and there’s one away outstanding catch right there i love the commitment that he showed he knew that the wall was close but was determined to make that catch and a nice calculation of just how much room he had to try to minimize that contact swanging a ball lined out towards center scott makes the play and there’s two down he’s been going after these guys consistently and as a resultielder he’s been able to keep his pitch count low throwing the ball very well right now here’s the center fielder Jackson Chorio one for two slider right there no ball one strike that to right and it falls and that keeps the inning going now the number two hitter William Contrarus 0 for two in this one pitch misses there one and0 pickoff move to first and he’s back in safely chorio off of first with two away [Music] that misses two and0 chris with that distraction and a speedy guy at first he’s in a favorable hitter’s count well if nothing else I mean this is a great spot for a hitter to be in next pitch is outside here’s an opportunity to do some damage and perhaps unlock this offense 3-1 count be ready to turn on a fast ball the 3-1 right through there for a strike 3-2 two out runner on first lot of movement in the infield hitters got to stay focused on the pitch this one smacked out to left center lunging but can’t bring it in coming home the relay throw not in time he’s safe at the plate and they take a two-run lead well here we are third time through the order and this is where we see the OPS jump up manager might have to go to the bullpen a little bit sooner than he anticipated here’s Yell at the dish [Applause] and that one hammered that’s back there it’s a bomb he flexes his power with that swing it’s 4 nothing he absolutely crushed that one no doubt about Don B we knew it wasn’t coming back [Applause] that’s an impressive swing of the bat to go over the wall to the opposite field gap and you know there are a lot of guys that just don’t have the pop to do that and probably just as many who don’t have the approach either he let that ball travel got great extension on the follow through to drive it out of here manager out of the dugout now and it looks like we’ll see a change on the mound riley O’Brien gives way and it’s going to be a start that he’d like to get a redo on not his best back with a new arm in a minute now new arm of the mound for the Cardinals Sunny Gray and he’s been really shutting down hitters from the right side of the plate this year not a lot of hard contact not a lot of hits period and it’s Reese Hoskins up to the dish highfly ball on that one curling foul down the right side [Applause] that’s inside and the count even one and one action in the pen down there andre Palante appears to be getting loose two gone base is empty but three runs across last half of inning number five next offering is downstairs two ball one strike fast ball for a strike well that’s really the money spot down and away if you can locate that consistently it’s going to be real tough for hitters to square that up that’s what you love to see relievers do coming out of that bullpen just a slow ground ball this time arinado to first in time that’s the inning christian Yell crushes this one for the Brewers it’s now a four nothing ball game you’re watching Major League Baseball on the show and we’re back all set for the top of the six now up for St louis Victor Scott here we go milwaukee and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter all right Chris when you talk about great logos the Milwaukee Brewers the M and the B that form a glove not everyone even realizes that it’s an M and a B with that glove they started using it in 1978 and have been using it a lot more recently it’s a great logo Chris yeah Boog i remember as a kid my brother had that ball cap and I would just kind of borrow it some would say steal it but it was just such a cool looking logo i had no idea until years later that that’s what was hidden on the inside of it that M and that B but very very cool now here is Lars Nbar that clips the zone that’s strike one chris where does this Brewers Gum logo rank for you all time i’d say for me it’s right there in the top five i mean their logos and everything is sort of your personal experience but ball caps that we had around the house Montreal Expose growing up Milwaukee Brewers that Philadelphia Philly where the the red was a deeper red more of that burgundy uh but those were just iconic logos and so because of that early impression they stay in my top five two down base is empty and up next for St louis Mason Win there’s the strike i think it’s one of the best all time an art student at UW Oaklair created it it is super creative and I think one of the better logos we have in the sport on the ground to third tosses to first and that’ll do it so another good inning for him on the mound six shutout innings now it’s the Brewers four and the Cardinals nothing and welcome back to the ballpark well we go bottom six up now for Milwaukee daz Cameron right through there for a strike action in the St louis bullpen kyle Ley the young right-hander up and throwing romero a left-hander also throwing rolled over to third aronado to first one away bottom of the six the right fielder number 10 now free digging in it’s the speedy outfielder S freelick we talk about guys with good speed and definitely he has it but pushing the offense aside for just a second Chris it’s the defensive side that I think the speed factors in the most there’s a strike well he gets to balls that get by most people at that position just really impressive because there are certain times the ball comes off the bat automatically that team that hit it thinks that they’ve got a base hit or they may have extra bases and he just takes it away now batting now the third baseman kayla Durban first pitch doesn’t find the zone gray in his 12th season 35 years old a former first round pick back in 2011 sunny Gray checks on the run [Music] that one hammered but pulled foul this is one of those situations the infielders have to pre-plan and understand that the ball’s got to be hit extremely hard right at them if they’re going to have a chance to go for a double play man at first one away just missed that one fouled off two and two i wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball try to go again with a fast ball slightly elevated he just having a hard time catching up in the air out towards right center burlson sizing this one up and there’s two down now batting the shortstop Joseph Ortiz joseph Ortiz will hit next you got this Milwaukee he swings and fouls one off runner runner takes off pitch misses that’s a ball throw save that’s a stolen base [Applause] [Applause] two outs swinging a foul back that’s out of play down to the dirt swing and a miss gets to it onto first no matter zoe’s able to reach first base despite the strike out and that extends the inning kind of a tough turn of events for the defense there yeah that’s maybe a little bit of a morale killer for a second you think you’re about to go hit but really quickly you have to refocus and be ready for the next play we’ll see if they can work around it next for the Brewers Bryce Terang that’s a strike come on and that is cut on and missed and that is strike two well this is a higher leverage spot and I love the way that he’s turned things around he’s got two outs now ahead in this count and he can pretty much dictate what’s going to happen next in terms of the pitch sequence swings and misses on the fast ball up in the zone for the strikeout so a hit and an error in the inning but they aren’t able to score we’re through six full it’s the Brewers four and the Cardinals nothing back here at American Family Field all set for the start of the inning so now here’s the Cardinals designated hitter Brendan Donovan and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter i really like how he’s been attacking hitters early in at bats he’s thrown strikes on the first pitch to over 70% of the guys he’s faced in this one fires over to Hoskins and the lead off hitter set down to open the seventh up next the first base and up to hit is Wilson Contreres [Applause] on the corner for a strike 0 and one well I think the key I mean if he can get through one more inning anything after that a hitter or two is bonus but they should be lined up good enough to get to the finish line one down base is empty battling here as he fouls it away the next pitch misses it’s a ball and two strikes base is empty one away here in the top half of inning number seven and a ground ball to first hoskins takes it to the bag and two away to start the seven now batting the catcher Ivon Herrera now the catcher up to hit Ivon Herrera [Music] that’s in for a strike now this manager knows that his players are just trying to do too much everybody needs to just take a deep breath relax and let it naturally happen ripped to third but handled and that’ll end the inning redbirds down quietly they’re down four nothing [Music] [Music] set for the last half of the seventh and now the center fielder Jackson fast for a strike oh and one [Music] that’s out to center field scott should have this one and puts the squeeze on that one and there’s one down now Patty catcher William and here’s the catcher William Contra well I got a chance to meet William during spring training as he was coming up trying to get to the big leagues and this kid’s got some ridiculous pop watched him on the back fields taking batting practice all of his coaches would just kind of roll their eyes and say “This kid’s going to be great without actually saying the words.” Then later that season I got a chance to chat with Wilson Big Brother and ask him about Little Brother and he smiled as well said “Yeah he’s good.” and gave me that look that I think he might be better than me eventually got him outside pitch got the better of him that time oh you know that’s got to be very frustrating for this guy he knows the strike zone extremely well and you know what good hitters are not going to compromise he’ll take that punch out but ultimately stick with his plan and have more success than anything else and now it’ll be Christian Yelich can’t forget the two-run shot he launched out of here in the fifth yeah one of the biggest swings of the game Boog as he looks to make even more of an impact in this at bat right here ripped but a curls foul two down nobody on here in the bottom of the seventh foul ball it stays nothing and two i would say the game’s close right now but it’s not out of reach either i mean these pitchers really need to put up a zero on the board just to maintain a little hope lifted in the air down the left side that one gets down for a hit and that keeps the inning alive and his hot hitting continues they kept him in the yard that time but all he’s doing now is passing the baton and everything seems to get started around this guy and here is Hoskins 0 for three with two fly outs and a ground out swang at a highf fly ball hit the air left center field this one’s got a chance that’s back there he’ll touch them all home run number 10 on the year and they add to the lead it’s 6 nothing wasn’t fooled on the first pitch at all he squared it up right away i wasn’t sure he hit that one as hard as he needed to to get it out of here but it had just enough behind it for the homer what an attempt at the wall though he really gave a terrific effort to try and bring that one back daz Cameron up now for the Brewers first pitch misses one ball no strike [Applause] and another ball when the skipper calls down at the bullpen he’s expecting the guy to come in and get outs so far not getting what he was hoping for two down nobody on that one’s spoiled and the countdown two and one and that one almost hit him straighten him up a little bit [Music] and a foul ball you can see he was trying to stay back long enough to handle the off speed pitch but just a little tardy on the fast ball stays alive [Applause] outside and that is ball four a great back and forth in that at bat he had to lay off some really close pitches and somehow Boogie found a way to keep the bat on his shoulder right there i’ll tell you right now I couldn’t have done it [Applause] freeland the next to hit takes ball one [Applause] [Applause] on the ground gorman they get the force they don’t come much closer than that bang bang play to end the inning two runs for Milwaukee on the dinger it’s now a 6 nothing ball game this one isn’t exactly close chris let’s go off script for a moment i’m game were we on script never all right singi let’s rewind for a second when you heard that they were going to put a pitch clock into the game what was your first thought well I thought that these guys were going to have a very difficult time to be able to regroup after each pitch and be ready to execute some type of plan at the plate and even for pitchers on the mound one of the things though that we’ve seen that is kind of a thread really in every sport these are the elite players and so they adjust and they’ve done a great job adjusting absolutely and just you tip your cat to these guys because not an easy adjustment but they look like they’ve been doing it their entire lives sends it to first first out in the top of the eighth alec Burlson next up for the Cardinals that catches the zone for a strike and it’s 0 and one slashed foul down the right side that’ll hook off into the seats the Cardinals with a lot of ground to make up and we’re in the top of the eighth cut on and miss curve ball struck him out i mean there aren’t many curve balls in the sport today that break like that thing does huge movement it’s so difficult to get on the same plane and even think about squaring it up let alone get a piece and hope he throws something else to keep the atbat alive and stepping in for the Cardinals Nolan Gorman right through there for a strike [Music] and that one is inside so I can’t play around with him here it’s a six-run lead at this point got to attack hitters even if you give up a solo shot pop foul out of play off to the right well that ball is hit pretty hard and sure had home run distance but if you’re the pitcher out there on the mound you execute it just a long strike oh that’s a strike out and that’ll do it for the unit one two three go the Cardinals they still find themselves down six zip bottom of the eighth up now for Milwaukee number 21 Kaitlin Duran Gray back to work up and in and it’s one and0 and that’s a strike if he doesn’t get a knock right here that pitch he just took is going to eat at him for a while you might not see another pitch like that from a top level guy like this swanging a ground ball throws across the diamond one gone in the bottom of the eighth the batter number three shortstop Joseph joseph Ortiz up now for the Brewers one for three that one finds the zone that’s strike one the Brewers up big in this one here the bottom half of the eighth inning inside just missed next offering is fouled back one down base is empty the shorts stop takes the ball [Applause] spoils that one and it remains two and two back to the mound he’s got it on to first two up two down the batter number two second baseman Rice so digging in Bryce Terra 0 for three in this one and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter next offering upstairs and that’s in for a strike well two outs and a chance to put up a zero on the scoreboard here and that’s not something that’s come easy for this staff in this one out to short dives and he can’t hang on no throw and they catch a break as they get a base runner at first here’s the lead off man for the Brewers jackson Torio this one smoked out to left it drops in gets away a little bit now batting the catcher manager out of the dugout and he’s going to make a change sunny Gray will depart and the line not closed on him yet as he’s responsible for the runners on base back with a new pitcher after this now pitching Kyle Ley will take over here well they need someone to stop the bleeding and keep the score right where it is seems like a tough task today with the way this lineup is swinging it so two on with two away william Contrarus getting ready to hit a little bit high and that’s ball one no first and second two down that’s in there and that’s strike one that one missing inside good spot for the hitter definitely has the advantage in this count with runners on look for him to be aggressive on this next pitch two aboard two outs and that’s down and away one [Music] [Applause] and that’ll load the bases his ability to draw walks has been something that’s been part of his career since day one so bases all loaded up and the batter now Christian Yelich and it may be a long shot but a triple here will give him the cycle one more time swinging a foul back and that’s out of play come on blue crew fought off foul [Music] inside just missed movement in the bullpen andre Palante the hardthrowing righty is up and loosening [Music] two outs bases are full here we go set down on strikes called strike three and a fast ball up in the zone looks like he’s heading back out for the ninth as he’ll go for the shut out when we get back now pitching for it’s the top of the ninth and there’s a new pitcher on the mound abner compared to some days this is a pretty low leverage appearance for him so he should be fairly free and easy out there still have to keep yourself sharp and attack the strike zone now up for St louis victor Scott has grounded out a couple of times [Applause] in the air right field after it makes the catch and there’s one goal well those can be pretty fun as an outfielder got to put it into his highest gear and go a long way to track that one down nothing better than that you feel like a wide receiver playing football aribe goes 6 feet 3 in 215 lbs and he was born in the Dominican Republic base is empty one away here in the top of the ninth [Applause] fouls one off out of play back to our left [Applause] at 96 that pitch is in for a strike [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] ground ball left side and foul ball [Applause] and that’s downstairs and outside [Applause] and this is inside okay struck him out swinging cardinals now with just one out remaining he came out of his mechanics there typically likes to shoot the ball the other way but that time little anxious mason win next up for the Cardinals 0 for three a fly out a ground out and a strike out top of the zone and it’s called a strike oh this is just part for the course these days huge fast balls coming out of the bullpen that one close rule the ball one ball one strike one ball one strike they’re down to their final strike the Cards down to their final strike and a swing and a miss at the slider in the dirt up with it fires the first in time ball game and the strikeout ends it i don’t care if you’re a top team or you’re a middle of the pack team every ball club wants to be dominant at home winning a game like this just helps to boost the confidence and makes you look forward to coming out again for the next one 6 nothing is how this one ends for Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the show I’m John Shambi saying so long heat heat i
