pitch coming up and today’s starter Mitch Keller and Singi We were talking earlier about how he’s doing a great job navigating through tough spots Well he’s been a very dependable starter for his club And what stands out for me is that left-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 against him And it just tells me they have a hard time tracking the baseball Maybe it’s the release point maybe it’s the motion but just some way somehow they’ve got to figure out a way to pick it up and try to have some success from the left side Gets the outside corner with that one Next pitch is in the dirt Going to count one and [Applause] two Rip to right pulls it down and he makes the catch One away And time now for the Marlins lineup And no doubt a big factor in this series so far Jesus Sanchez Yeah Boo And he’s been just clutch for this team so far in the series Five runs batted in to this point You know guys like him who can just slow the game down quiet the nerves when they’re runners on base or pressure situations they’re as valuable as it gets We’ll see if he keeps making an impact today Jesus Sanchez stands in now and watches strike one and a strike One out Base is empty That one having a hard time getting on base and then being able to really distract him and do damage in terms of getting around the base path So we’re taking the mound This is a guy you want out there if you’re his teammate And I expect him to be good in this one Nick Gonzalez the leadoff batter as he looks at ball one that one down the line Whips it to first And a quick out number one Here’s a Pirates lineup now And so far this year this has not been a very good offense Well in this day and age if you can’t slo and get on base that OPS has to be at a certain level if you’re going to produce time Maybe some inconsistency here or there but usually he’s back there doing a solid job What about some non nos Like you can’t call the umpire blue the way you do in little league or high school right Yeah In the minor leagues you’ll learn quickly uh you call the umpire blue You better learn his name And uh that’s just part of being a professional player and even a major league player Got him swinging on that pitch away to finish him off But everything early in the at bat was in tight Really challenged him in there with some competitive pitches not letting him get his hands extended But of
