HELLEBUYCK wins Vezina AND Hart Trophy

connor he’s going out fishing doing what he 
loves the most besides hockey we’re going to try and surprise him with the VZNet which he 
has no idea that he’s getting he didn’t know anything he’s just thinking about fish i caught 
my first fish ever 3.73 i was pretty happy i’m going to say surprise you’re going to say 
surprise yeah at first I saw someone in my yard i was kind of confused about that 
here comes daddy here comes daddy look do you see the boat [Applause] [Music] 
look at that thank you turn it around thank you are you surprised are you surprised seeing all 
his hard work and dedication pay off like this there’s nothing more rewarding hand this off 
so I can give everyone a hug give it to your dad you want to hold it it’s that word 
that is surreal as a parent you sit back and you’re just so happy that all your kids go 
out find their their dream achieve their goals and all our kids are doing well to see Connor 
doing that and be able to celebrate it like this it’s it’s a front row seat that I’ll 
never forget say cheese all right everybody hats buddy uh come on in com 
where’s the uh other trophy everybody wants to win the heart congrats buddy 
so happy for you that moment was uh like putting a little cherry on top i think he was in shock 
it was one of the best things I’ve ever seen a goalie have in my life and to be able to witness 
it and see how proud he was when he saw that trophy come out meant a lot i actually had no 
idea what this trophy looked like you want to hold it it’s really heavy below wow i mean a VZNA 
is fantastic but both that’s just phenomenal you know looking back I probably picture this day 
as one of the one of the greatest of my career

On his return home after fishing, Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is not only surprised by his family with the Vezina Trophy, presented to the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position, but then by his Jets teammate Eric Comrie, who informs him and his family that he’s won the Hart Memorial Trophy, presented annually to the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team.

  7. Great year for Connor but when the players were asked to decide the MVP they voted Kucherov. I trust the players' opinion over sport writers.

  12. Kucherov is MVP no doubt about. Mostly of the players voted him as a winner. If the journalists doesn't like him not means that he must be robbed second year in the row. Shame on you NHL. Now he must ignore 💯 journalists , they don't respect him
