so could the Dallas Stars be trading away Jason Robertson to the Anaheim Ducks this 2025 NHL off seasonason well here on the screen are a couple snippets of an article from NHL trade rumors me the link to this article is down below in case you want to check it out for yourself but it says “It’s hard to believe that the Dallas Stars would sacrifice Jason Robertson just to resign a 33-year-old Michael Granland but it’s also possible that with the addition of Miko Ranson and to lead their offense they might feel that Jason Robertson is somehow expendable in order to get other things done.” Fellow insider Jeff Merik of Daily Face Off discussed the potential of a Jason Robertson trade on the sheet quote “I’m telling you trust me there is some there.” He went on to suggest that the Anaheim Ducks who would be willing to take major swings this off season are a team to watch anaheim is going to be all over this our guys this summer while alluding to the availability of Jason Robertson so I could definitely see the Dallas Stars making some big time moves this off season uh with some pending free agents you know as mentioned Michael Granlin or Matthew Shane’s also thrown out there as well they might not be able to bring these guys back especially Sue given the current uh kind of financial structure of this team it’s just not possible now there is a world where someone like Matt Dumba could be bought out or traded uh maybe some other players could potentially be in the trade block as well but I think if they wanted to make a big-time move to their team clear up some cap space and kind of maybe resign someone like Matt Duchain and or Michael Granland then Robertson does make a lot of sense like Robertson this past year still put up a really solid season come playoff time a bit of a ghost truthfully speaking especially in that third round where a lot of this Dallas Stars team uh just was quite ineffective but Jason Roberts has a tremendous talent i think he could definitely blossom going to the Anaheim Ducks a team that desperately needs some more offense in my opinion he’s a big body he can score you know 40 plus tucks a year and this guy’s a very tremendous player he’s also from the California area if I’m not mistaken so I think you know a nice little homecoming for him could be pretty appealing and the Ducks want to make some pretty big-time moves like they’re all interested in the Mitch Mner situation so they could very well give Mitch Mner a big time contract if they wanted to go ahead and trade for Robertson that’d be a big time swing for them as well and this could actually be a cool destination for him so I definitely do agree with both sides here that the Dallas Stars could potentially be looking to get rid of some cap space to retain some of their current players uh that of course being Duchine and Granland and the last and the Anaheim Ducks also being in the market to go big game hunting whether that’s going to be Mitch Martner in free agency or perhaps Jason Robertson on the trade market so what do you guys think a Jason Robertson Anaheim Ducks trade looks like thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next one
