🔴LIVE🔴St Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers/June 13/ Mlb Envivo/ MLB The show 25
now please welcome and we’ll be back with the first pitch right after this Milwaukee Brewers about to get started here now The starting pitcher in this one Jacob Miserowski Well he’s been a very dependable starter for his club And what stands out for me is that left-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 against him And it just tells me they have a hard time tracking the baseball Maybe it’s the release point maybe it’s the motion but just some way somehow they’ve got to figure out a way to pick it up and try to have some success from the left side Highfly ball down the left field line Tries to make the play but it’s fouled Fast ball for a strike The fast ball at the bottom of the zone can be very effective Just got to keep it on the corners Fast ball is outside See if he can go upstairs a little bit Make sure you miss up and out of the zone since you’re heading the count one two Don’t miss in the zone because that’s where you get hurt Fights that one away Still one and two And there’s a ball Well he’s not afraid to fall into a two- strike count Knows the strike zone very well So much so that I think umpires will look at him and determine whether it’s a ball or strike if he swings or not And misses inside He’s really tightening up his hitting zone with two strikes here I love it got him looking and he did not like the call It’s a strike out but they’ll be in good shape if they make their outs as difficult as that one Those grinding abs take a toll on a pitcher as the game goes on [Music] Mason win next up for the Cardinals Next offering pop foul off to the right out of play Win getting the start at shortstop batting second in today’s lineup and he was a second round pick in 2020 One out base is empty Highfly ball on that one curling foul down the right side Let’s go Next offering is outside One down Base is empty Pitch miss is there And it’s two and two [Music] swing and a ball ripped right field That one back and that one is gone He leaves the yard to right It’s one- nothing He absolutely feasts on right-handed pitching and devours that one for a homer And you can see that’s what he expects of himself at bat after at bat He’s that confident A good hitter gets pitch recognition early He saw exactly where that was going to be The challenge not get over anxious and come out of your swing He stayed on it and got all of it Base is empty one away And now it’s Ivon Herrera Ball one there K Sandios hit on the ground to short Ortiz in plenty of time to first Two down Now we take a check of the St Louis Cardinals lineup A really frustrating showing for them in their last game Lots of traffic on the bases but they left a ton of runners on base Couldn’t cash in their chances Chris They had plenty of chances There’s nobody to blame it on but themselves offensively They just did a poor job converting in those situations You have to figure out what’s your plan going to be Maybe watch some tape from the last game Make the adjustment So if you get those opportunities in this one you’ve got a much better chance of scoring some runs Now to short fires over to Hoskins And that is the inning Cards on the board first with this solo blast It’s now a one- nothing ball game Back here in Milwaukee on the mound for this one Steven Matz Well he’s allowing just over one base runner per inning which is really good especially for a starter because these hitters get to see you two three maybe even four times in a start So just shows you how deceptive and how effective his stuff is We’ll see if it’s that way in this one Hot shot to third Aronado to first in time One up one down Let’s take a look at the Brewers lineup Batting second A really important guy for them Jackson Chorio Well these days we know teams you know they put a game plan together for every hitter in a lineup but a guy like this they circle him make sure he doesn’t beat you Uh so you know they put in a little extra time and effort and on how they’re going to approach him He can be a huge difference maker when he’s hot So it’s going to be fun to see how they try to work him right here Jackson Chorio in the box with one away as he takes ball one Next offering is in for a strike line drive and a base hit right there So they get a man aboard with a one out single Solid swing from start to end On time with everything Really good balance Nice extension And he met it out front for the line drive knock And now they’ve got some speed on first So we’ll see if they try to get him into motion And now it’s William Contreres This one in the dirt and the runner stays where he is Chorio over at first with one away That’s a little bit low Way to lay off that pitch down Snap throw to first Chorio back on a dive Hard hit to third Fires to second for one What a double play that was Inning over Poetry in motion there as the second baseman turns the double play Nice throw to first and that’s the way to end the inning Back here at American Family Field all set for the start of the inning And now Alec Burlson Miserowski back to work And a foul ball Swanging a ground ball The throw to first Lead off man retired here in the second Good two seam action right there Running away from the batter Rolled over it Got the ground out So now it’s Dolan Aronado Good defender He’s been inconsistent offensively Milwaukee Brewers That’s in there That’s strike one One down Base is empty And a foul ball That one in the dirt and the count One and two And they’ll do it again I wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball Try to go again with a fast ball Slightly elevated He just having a hard time catching up Foul ball still a one and two count Just misses the mark outside the zone Well I I think he’s trying to get a feel for where that one missed I mean it could have gone either way but he looked a little shocked for a second there drilled out towards left center field That’s well struck That’s back there and it one hops the wall and that’s a double Showed a lot of fight with two strikes in that AB Pretty much just a textbook double into the gap And when you can drop one in there between the outfielders you know you’re making the turn at first It’s just an excellent swing One out runner at second Here’s Nolan Gorman And that is downstairs One and0 Here we go Milwaukee fast ball is outside Woody Keller making the calls behind home for us today And Boo something to keep an eye on is how pitchers utilize the top part of the strike zone We see a lot more of that in today’s game with pitchers going up there with hard stuff Keller definitely an umpire that isn’t afraid to call strikes up in that part of the strike zone Smoked on the ground to second gets it to first two away Singing what kind of strike zone is most frustrating for hitters I’d say off the plate away and down And why Those are the toughest locations to hit the baseball Here’s the catcher to hit Pedro Pah As the game has moved along we see more and more information supplied by teams about the umpires I’ve been in clubouses where they have pictures of all four guys nicknames hometowns and as well hobbies listed just so you can kind of small talk the umpire a little bit That’s great Two outs Just missed And another ball Victor Scott up next for the Cardinals Let’s see if he gives him anything to hit here Fast for a strike You got this 3-1 is on the way now A fly ball to right center and that’ll do it So one hit is all they get now to the bottom of the second It’s the Cardinals one and the Brewers nothing And welcome back to the ballpark Leading off Christian Yelich Christian Yelich And that’s in the dirt right now behind in the count Two balls and no strikes No free passes You can’t allow that Grounder off the pitcher No chance for a play And let’s hope the left-hander’s not hurt out there And now they’ll hustle out to check on him That was quite a shot he took as you see him down on the knee Yeah clearly in some real pain but he will not want to come out of this game if he doesn’t have to It’s looking to me like he’s going to try to shake it off and continue No outs Runner at first Reese Hoskins up now for the Brewers Yelich dives back in Yell goes pitch in for a strike Safe at second and he easily steals the bag and the tying run is now in scoring position Yell at second with nobody out out to short win That’s one out in the bottom of the second Good fade and sinking action of that change up Got that hitter to roll over Isaac Next for Milwaukee Isaac Collins He’s been such a good hitter with runners in scoring position Some guys just take it to another level for him right now at the plate It’s like everyone else is in slow motion and he’s in full speed As a pitcher you know the runner on second is ready to push things with his speed A base hit it’s probably going to be a big run so you really have to execute on the mound Here’s a rocket to right field He’s got it And there’s two away Batting seven second base This is Bryce Terang singing he’s never finished the season with more stolen bases in his entire career And that one missing low This lineup’s going to have to find a way to make him work a little harder out there on the mound I mean he is just mowing him down He’s settling in You got to make him uncomfortable Maybe step out of the box call timeout do whatever it takes and a 1-1 And downstairs not even close there Three and one And the slider catches the zone It’s a hitter You don’t know what to expect here in the 3-2 If he’ll throw a breaking ball 3-1 he’ll do it again 3-2 on the ground out to short throws across the diamond and that is that They get a leadoff single but leave him stranded We head on now to the top of the third It’s the Cardinals one and the Brewers nothing And we’re back And stepping in is the speedy Victor Scott [Music] And he drops it down the third baseline And that’s a foul ball And that one missing inside A sharp slider [Music] Get out of here Late on that fast ball I think he was sitting off speed there [Applause] swings through it for the K Couldn’t catch up to the heater Usually when you see several pitches you’re going to get at least one that you might be able to do something with but they didn’t exactly challenge him in any way right there And really they just used his aggressiveness against him I don’t think he even got a pitch in the zone No that’s a good point Sigy He goes down on strikes but not a single pitch was actually in the strike zone Back to the leadoff spot in the St Louis lineup Here’s the left fielder Lars Nbar And that’s a little bit high And that’s ball one Sharp grounder That’s through for a base hit So a man aboard now with one away Couldn’t have timed it up any better than that Smash that one through the infield for the knock When it’s hit that hard it makes it very tough on the infielders to make any sort of play Mason Win next up for the Cardinals He’s already homerred in this game And a first pitch fastball is in for a strike man at first One away Absolutely frozen on that heater right down the middle And that’s a pitch you’re just not getting back Now he’s in a tough spot especially after falling behind on a good first pitch Next offering way off the plate spoils a two- strike pitch and he’ll see another That wasn’t an easy pitch to hit It’s much easier to do damage against mistakes but that’s not what that pitch was Here’s a one-two The shorts stop takes a ball Strike him out Still two and two after the foul ball And that one is inside He should get a pretty good pitch to hit here with the three-hole hitter coming up if he’s walked Eighth pitch of the at coming up Fouled off again and it remains three and two and ball four to a board Man that’s a tough one to take on the full count but I guess he saw it really well It’s a really nice plate appearance So now the DH spot Ivon Herrera 0 for one He ground it out in his first at bat at the dish looking to lift the ball in the air in this spot Anything but the inning ending double play Boog Slap the other way Foul this to center field and it drops in The run scores from second and it’s an RBI single It’s two zip Picks himself up an RBI He kind of muscled that one out there Didn’t get the barrel with it but the important part was that he found a way to stay through the baseball and just drop it into center field Runners at the corners here One away digging in Wilson Contrus grounded out to short in his first trip And that gets the top of the zone for a strike And that misses and a count even one and one This is a situation where the hitter is looking for something up in the zone that he can get his arms extended What you have to be careful of is that pitch that’s up that’s in on your hands That’ll pop you up in the infield and that’s exactly what the pitcher wants Off the mark there and a count two and one Could be some action here on this next pitch Couple runners on Probably a challenge pitch coming Win on third Herrera over at first with one away Swing and a miss That one at 99 That’s strike two [Applause] Two on one out Swinging a high-fly ball right field Freighick after it and makes the grab Runner tags from third It’s a sack fly as he comes across to score and they lead by three Sometimes all you got to do is your job and don’t over complicate things Keep it simple Runner at third less than two outs Put the ball in play and a nice job with the sack fly And here comes the Brewers manager to the mound Pitching change coming Jacob Miserowski done for the night And it’s going to be a start that he’d like to get a redo on Not his best Back with a new arm in a minute Jared Kan gets the call from the pen and they felt it was time to bring on a left-handed reliever from the pin with the lefty hitter coming up I think it’s a good move I know I never liked when opposing teams did that to me Now up for St Louis Alec Burlson grounded out his first time up That one outside Ball one on the ground right side tosses to first Third out and that ends the frame So it’s two runs on two hits no errors and a runner left We head now to the home half of inning number three It’s the Cardinals three and the Brewers nothing Back here in Milwaukee ready to go for the last half of the inning Up now for Milwaukee number 21 Yeah that’s fouled off Well struck right field back there to the warning track makes the catch the short stop Joseph and now it’s going to be Joseph Ortiz And that drops in for a strike on the ground right side and that one handled Two out Callie’s doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air Lets the defense work behind him with another ground ball Good execution Back to the top of the Milwaukee order Digging in It’s the speedy outfielder S Freelick Grounded out his first time And a breaking ball drops in for a strike Well the offense has gotten going and a pitcher wants to go out there have a real quick inning get those guys back into the dugout so those bats can stay hot Yeah the lefty with the 01 That one the other way Quinn and he beats the throw Shows off the wheels right there An infield single Well that’s one of those where you just have to tip your cap because he couldn’t have played that one any better Stood no chance with the speed running down the line Next for the Brewers Jackson Chorio One for one with a single so far That one fouled off Step off throw to first Freelick back in on a dive out to short Lays out but he can’t squeeze it No throw And they come away without an out Catcher And now here is William Contrus He’s 0 for one Right through there for a strike [Music] close but called a ball One ball one strike Good spot there but didn’t get the strike at the knees and doesn’t seem too convinced by the call out there on the mound as he tries to get a better sense of the umpire strike zone battling here as he fouls it away Got him swinging for the K Pulled the string on the change up Well this guy competes hard We see the emotion there I love it Great job of getting out of the jam start of the fourth and stepping in for the Cardinals Nolan Aronado Cardinals third base Nolan Aronado delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95 Meanwhile activity in the bullpen Rob Zastrrisznney appears to be getting loose Sabali warming up as well in the air Right field Freighle running hard to get it Reaching for it Makes the catch Those can be pretty fun as an outfielder to put it into his highest gear and go a long way to track that one down Nothing better than that You feel like a wide receiver playing football Gorman at the plate for the second time as he takes ball one Sliced hard but fouled Base is empty one away Top half of inning number four up the middle Slinging it to first in time Now batting catcher Pedro Pes Two down base is empty Pedro Pahes now at the plate You can do it All right let’s win Pahes goes 5′ 11 in 245 lbs and he was born in Venezuela In the air fairly deep to right field and that is that Here comes Christian Yelich Not having as much success with the bat here at home as you see the splits hit on the ground up the middle That’s a base hit So a man on base to start the inning Couple of hits in a row for him here He wasn’t able to elevate it but he put a great swing on it Right on time good balanced approach and just blasted it through the infield And the batter now is Reese Hoskins Now snap throw to first Yelich dives back in first pitch misses Well these Brewers to put it bluntly need to put together more competitive at bats And I don’t think they’ve lived up to their own expectations at the plate They’re swinging early being aggressive but one or two pitches later the at bat is over That’s not going to cut it if it’s not resulting in hits So they might want to be a little more selective up there Late swing fouled off Hoskins pushes it Foul Rudder at first with no outs here Next pitch is outside Got him swinging Boi just ran out of patience there He took a couple of pitches to even that count up at two balls and two strikes but that time chased outside the zone So up next Isaac Collins in the dirt Runner on the go Strike in there Throw Save You know having a good lead is so key when you’re stealing bases even if you’ve got great speed But if you don’t have great speed but can get an extended lead and a good jump you can steal bases on a catcher who can really throw it That’s a nice job right there The one-1 is fouled off That one to first takes it to the bag Steps on first and it’s out number two Now batting second base Bryce Terra digs in now Grounded out his first time up founding ball here Rolls foul Brewers That missed by a lot And that is ball one Doublebarreled action in the bullpen Ryan Hley the anchor of the staff is getting ready to close this one out King getting loose as well The one-1 Little chopper rolls foul [Music] Two outs Fights that one away Still one and two That’s inside Well this is a guy that can be frustrating for pitchers because he fouls off so many pitches and grinds out the atbat I’m sure there’s sometimes where a pitcher would rather just give up a first pitch single than have to waste six or seven pitches on one hitter And he has thrown four shut out innings So they can’t do anything with the leadoff single There we played four It’s the Cardinals three and the Brewers nothing And welcome back to the ballpark Top five John Shami with Chris Singleton And leading it off Victor Scott [Music] Kanik back to work and first offering is fouled off and ball one That one called just inside I think And on the mound he’s trying to get a little bit of an explanation Doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it though But he clearly thought it clipped the corner Not close with that one And it’s two and one That’s a strike spoils that one and it remains two and two keeps the atbat going with a foul ball Well he’s desperately looking for that swing and miss He’s going to have to just change speeds a little bit Try to move it around Create just a little bit of illusion at the end Goes down looking at the play Lars Newbar And that one is downstairs Ball one and delivers outside Next offering upstairs Well I would expect in this three 0 count you’re taking all the way See if he’ll walk you Next offering is in for a strike It’s a good spot with the three- 0 pitch right there You don’t want to lay something in and it turns out to be a homer That one is absolutely belted and out of here He shoots one out to right His ninth homer of the year And they add to their lead It’s four nothing Already playing with a lead and now they’re celebrating a home run They’re having a great time out there Anytime you have a pitch down the middle of the plate the percentages go up for the hitter to do damage even if it’s a pretty good sinker like that one Nice piece of hitting there at the plate Now Mason Win hard hit left side Zips it across Play is made Two out Up next for the Cardinals the designated hitter Ivon Herrera Two out space is empty Next to hit Ivon Herrera [Music] Just missed Two out Space is empty There’s the strike of the knees and it’s one and one And that’s downed away Got him That’s the third out St Louis tacks on one with a homer It’s now a 4 nothing ball game Major League Baseball is on the show Back now to start the bottom of the fifth And taking over on the mound Sunny Gray and he’s got a nice lead to work with So he should come in throwing strikes attacking these hitters Now the third base fly to right his first time Caleb Der and the first offering a fast ball for a strike Well these Brewers doing a good job of putting the ball into play and that makes things more challenging on the defensive side The numbers tell us they’re averaging more than a hit every inning and they’ve only struck out twice So they keep finding ways to put their bat on the ball Off the plate Two and one Swings through that one for strike two Instead of letting the hitter get his arms extended tied him up a little bit Slightly up slightly in Sharp grounder That’s through for a base hit and the leadoff man aboard Joseph Ortiz will hit next Rolled out to second in his first at bat Slice the other way That’s a base hit and out to a board There we go Now batting rightielder Sal Sick up now for the Brewers One for two Let’s keep it going That one’s upstairs Ball one Next one misses and it’s two and0 And he pumps in a strike on the ground to first and that one finds its way through Headed for the plate now A long throw home It’s offline The run comes in It’s 4-1 That’s three singles in a row He kind of rolled over on this pitch a little bit but he got enough behind it to shoot it through for a knock And you’ll take that anytime you can get them to find a hole And you can feel this crowd waking up a bit here as the guys are starting to make some noise with their bats Big spot And here comes Jackson Cheerio He’s two for two That misses the zone And that’s ball one here Tying run at the plate and that is out of play [Music] And a count one and two Ortiz over at second Freelick on at first with nobody out Just misses with that one And that’s awfully close I don’t know how you take that He’s seeing the ball out of the pitcher’s hand really well right now William Contrarus in the Milwaukee on deck circle and a 3-2 Caught him looking for the K Now batting high leverage spot and William Contras digging in for two in this one That pitch in for a strike and it’s 0 and one Well in this situation with runners on you got to get ahead in the count so that you can dictate the rest of the at bat Nice job right there That one missed One out Runners at first and second That one ripped but fouled Strike three and that’s two in a row Here comes the skipper out of the dugout and he’s ready to make the move Sunny Gray will depart and the line not closed on him yet as he’s responsible for the runners on base Back with a new pitcher after this Now new pitcher for the Cardinals John King He’s having a ton of success facing left-handed hitters this season so this seems like a smart move to turn to him with a lefty at the plate Big at back coming up with Christian Yelich stepping in The MVP in 2018 the runner up in 2019 That one not close One and0 Here we go Milwaukee Fought off Foul Two on two outs Swings and misses one and two That pitch started in and ended up on the outside edge Just changing planes and very difficult especially for a left-handed hitter to track Line drive and this might be trouble coming home One runs in around third Across is the runner from first It’s 43 Well there you go The RBI machine Another clutch run scoring at bat Yeah he’s been so good in these situations Call it clutch if you want but his resume speaks for itself So runner at second two down And the batter now Reese Hoskins Tap foul at the plate So the tying run at second swing and a ground ball and that one gets through into center field Yell flies around third He scores to tie it up It’s an RBI single It’s four to four Such great concentration Everybody on their feet knowing that you can come through with a good swing And there he doesn’t try to do too much Substitution now at first base on the pinch run Daz Cameron Two outs Runner on first Isaac Collins up now for the Brewers in the dirt No advance Good job behind the dish If you’re a base runner you got to stay dialed in here Look for anything in the dirt Try your best to get into scoring position And he grounds one to the right side Contras steps on the bag That’ll end the inning after a lot of scoring They get four runs on five hits no errors and leave one Five innings complete and we are tied 4-4 We’re back and they make a change to start the six The new pitcher Trevor McIll Well he’s a big time strikeout guy out there this season averaging more than one per inning Jake Bowers getting loose there He’s now in the game at first Here comes Wilson Contrus Jake Bowers And the first pitch misses for ball one Boo He never moved cuz he never had time to With that kind of velocity you’d prefer that pitcher work away right side and it’s just fouled That was close There’s the strike swing and he popped it up McIll and there’s one away Up next for the Cardinals rightielder Alec Burlson Next up for the Cardinals has grounded out a couple of times Just missed activity in the bullpen for the Brewers Abner Uribe getting loose out there Come on Next pitch is outside That one in triple digits That clips the corner The two- two now And a swing and a miss Two gone now He came out of his mechanics there Typically likes to shoot the ball the other way but that time a little anxious Here’s Nolan Aronado Milwaukee And that’s outside Ball one on a line base hit So a two out knock keeps the inning alive and puts the go-ahad run on base He was all over that one Showed a willingness to drive that pitch the opposite way Didn’t get jumpy Didn’t try to pull the ball He let it get deep Took the barrel right to it and then extended through the swing for the line drive base hit Go ahead run on base Gorman the next to hit He’s grounded out a couple of times And there’s the strike Little trouble with this one behind the plate Nothing doing Count moves to one and one tied at four and a count one and two Swaging a drive deep left field That one carrying drops into the glove and that’s the third out One hit one left 789 two up in the home half of the inning and we are tied 4-4 back here at American Family Field Bottom of the sixth inning up now for Milwaukee Bryce Terrace first pitch doesn’t find the zone And another ball It’s getting squeezed a little bit here late Ground ball up the middle What a stop Throw off line He’s safe And a nice job there to keep it from getting away Boom That’s staying within his game right there I mean this Speedster gets the infield single and now he’s on base to possibly do some damage I love seeing what guys like this can do to disrupt the game once they get in a position to do so To second for one and that’s all they’ll get Now batting the short stop Joseph Ortiz Joseph Ortiz up now for the Brewers Well with pretty good speed over there at first base I think the pitcher’s got to slow everything down Hold the ball a little bit step off just try to break the rhythm and timing of a potential base stealer That’s too low And that’s ball one This is a good situation if you want to try to steal a base Nine hitter man you’re about to turn this lineup over So get a little momentum as you turn it over Ball to strike Ruer takes off Safe at second with a stolen base Winning run in scoring position now So a clutch AB could end this one Singi He definitely showed off the wheels there Yeah and it turned out to be a bang bang play Statcast gives us the data And that stolen base wasn’t possible without that sprint speed and a swing at a line drive at a right field Brings it in and there’s two down Now batting rightielder [Music] selick up now for the Brewers RBI knock for him last time Now a chance to drive in another run Come on Breaking ball in there for a strike Check swing and he went That is strike two Ruer at second Two down Hit in the air right field Burlson has this one sized up and that is the third out of the inning Milwaukee leaves one Still all square at four apiece Now pitching Welcome back We’re in the seventh We have a new pitcher on the mound Abner Uribe and he’s done a great job keeping the ball in the park this year The numbers stack up with some of the best in the game So the go-ahead run in scoring position Pedro Pah getting ready to hit And that’s downstairs and outside [Music] And the slider just misses Swings through that one for strike one This guy’s got such a good sinker As a hitter you’ve got to look up in the zone If you look down you’re going to be chasing stuff in the dirt Victor Scott in the on deck circle hoping to get a chance to make a big impact here And now it’s filled up Ball four He walked him and that’ll keep the line moving Well a breaking ball in that 3-2 count kind of tells you that that’s the pitch he has the most confidence in right now Just couldn’t find the strike zone Looks like it’ll be a pinch hitter Brendan Donovan Big at bat here So looking for a better matchup with a left-handed bat in the infield at the corners Don’t be surprised to see them come home first and prevent that run from scoring and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter with a go ahead run at third here in extra innings And that’s downstairs One and one to short Could be two offbalance feed There’s one They get the out but the run scores on the Twin Killing First and third nobody out You’re thinking you’ve got it lined up for a pretty big inning right here So that double play is pretty deflating They get the run in but now they’re starting all over So two down now And here is Lars Nbar He’s already homerred here in this one Right through there for a strike And now it’s even up Nasty back door slider There’s really nothing you can do with that if you swing at it So that’s a good take by him And that skips in the dirt Two down base is empty but one run across And here in extra innings on the ground and foul ball And that’s outside Hard grounder into the outfield for a knock Zoe gets on base and keeps it going And his hot hitting continues They kept him in the yard that time but all he’s doing now is passing the baton And everything seems to get started around this guy And up next for St Louis Mason Win He had a big swing for these guys way back in the first inning Yeah Boo He didn’t waste any time in this one The solo shot really got his team going and he’s looking for more right here Fast ball for a strike Was good pitch there really had some run and finished a little up and end just on the edge And that’s one of those if you swing at it he had a broken bat as you jog back to the dugout Two outs but a short stop takes a ball That one misses now Two and two Great RBI spot here Just got to stay focused on the pitch The runner will be in motion So something in the gap should definitely score it 3-2 now up the middle Oh what a stop Throws from the seat of his pants on the money Nice play This guy’s anticipation is off the charts Don’t see many shorts stops better than that Great job to complete the play and end the inning Welcome back And here comes the closer Ryan Hley Should be a good first matchup for him here He’s been doing a great job against right-handed bats so far this season They’ve had a lot of trouble squaring him up So coming into the game now on defense Michael Ciani He’ll be patrolling center field Number 11 Here’s the center fielder Jackson Chorio Now this guy a player that if he gets on base has the ability to really be aggressive getting around the base paths They had a strike right through there That one triple digits [Applause] and he grounds one back up the middle and the leadoff hitter set down to open the seventh Couple of pitches and a quick out Up next for the Brewers catcher William And here’s the catcher William Contrus 0 for three with two strikeouts and a ground out There’s the strike Late in the game everyone gets a little tighter Way to get ahead on a really good hitter right there Check swing called stride He’s falling behind in a huge spot Boo Got to do what it takes to come through Maybe choke up on the bat a little bit Spread out those feet Whatever it takes In the dirt but kept close Runner stays put at third Swaying at a highf fly ball Well struck That’s got a chance Out of here Ball game He circles the bases and the Brewers get a walk-off win six to five [Applause] Hitting a walk-off homer is the kind of thing you dream about growing up You’re in the backyard You’re creating the most pressure-p packed scenario And what do you do You come through with the big swing Well he was living a childhood moment right there Nice swing of the bat Nice win for the team 65 the final here today for Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the show I’m John Shami Thanks for
