Gene Tenace was the WS hero and MVP for the first title (and then dynasty) in Oakland A’s history, and that makes him my favorite. Statistically, I believe he’s the Oakland A’s catcher GOAT as well, although he did play other positions. Steiny was a workhorse and underrated catcher who also helped deliver a title. Ray was a great announcer, but was never the same on the field after the Pete Rose incident. I loved the way Jason Kendall played and have a vivid memory of him diving headfirst for a close tag at the plate to end a game. Who can forget Ramon’s squeeze bunt to beat the Red Sox in the 12th inning in game 1 of the 2003 ALDS? I believe in Stephen Vogt!

Honorable mention to Sal Fasano. Couldn’t hit, mid defender, slow as heck…but…he did crush that really deep homer that one time, and it was glorious.
209 legend Adam Melhuse for me
How was Ray Fosse not listed here?!?!
Steinbach and Kendall.
