Just In: Houston Rockets center Steven Adams has agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract extension to stay with the franchise, sources tell ESPN. After playing a key rotation and leadership role in the Rockets' playoff run, the new deal keeps a top center out of free agency.

  17. for a team that sometimes can’t shoot to save their lives, having an automatic offensive rebound is pretty valuable

  18. Only overpay to people who don’t watch Rockets games. Him and Sengun were a part of some our best lineups and he has the best offensive rebound percentage in the league

  20. Is Brook going to have somewhat of a market? He is still a pretty good rim protector if you have actual perimeter defenders. He is just really slow and unplayable against super fast teams. 

  21. People that only see box score stats don’t realize how crazy impactful he was down the stretch and in the playoffs. The double big with him and Sengun was lethal.

  22. Keeps a good veteran in the locker room definitely makes an impact on the court for them as well.

    This is also a very easy contract to trade win-win for all parties involved

  24. Amazing move from Stone. Him and Sengun are deadly inside the three point arc simply being rebounding and box-out machines. I look forward to see their two-man game again.

  26. I suppose a backup Center is worth $13.3Mill/per. Naz Reid is making $15mil next season as a backup. Bobby Portis is making $13.5mill next season.

    Steven Adams is a better defender then both those guys but they have more flexibility able also play PF.
