Burroughs gets him one two three swing and a miss and got him to chase on the change up two away kind of FFA a guy who doesn’t swing and miss all that often good change up floating down and away and he’s way out in front cruz all those guys the ground softly hit to his right shoulder goes across in time to get the fleefooted O’Neal Cruz don’t shoot two line drive base hit it’s fitting because we that one pete Pro Armstrong pulls it in to the right side it gets through a rare ground ball off the bat the PCA zone there he goes swinging him in slow down a second too late stolen base number 23   3. Matthew Boyd has one of the slickest pick off throws I've seen in a minute. Also, shout outs to Jaemo and Boyd for pitching out here like a legit 1-2 while our big guns are injured. Just solid starts for the most part from our staff.

  12. There are going to be a lot of games with poor offense but really good pitching, like today. I'm not worried about it. Their bats will heat up!

  13. Cubs offensive isn’t as explosive ever since Happ came back. He should not be hitting first. Hoerner should be in the lead off spot. But baseball isn’t also about scoring 7-8 runs a game. As long as the pitching staff can hold the lead. The offense has to muster at least 4 runs and we should win.

  14. I can’t tell if I should be happy our bullpen is finally okay enough to be able to hold onto a 1 run lead, or should be concerned the once best offense in the league is nowhere to be found. Like we can’t do both at the same time 😅

  15. As a Chicagoan, I'm happy to see McCutchen keep playing good baseball! After losing Joey Votto from the division, it's a comfort to see one of our old MVPs still hangin' in there. GO CUTCH!!

  19. It feels like two losses in a row when you beat NEARLY the worst team in baseball by one run! They better figure out what's wrong with their bats because it's not like they had to face Paul Skenes again or anything!
