Should The Houston Rockets Trade Jabari Smith Jr. To The Phoenix Suns??

yo what’s going on guys it’s Houston Sports Talk back into the video today and we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets since traded Jabari Smith Jr to the Phoenix Suns this is something I would really prefer the Rockets not do i want to see Jabari Smith Jr stay in Houston um but it would make sense that the Suns would want Jabari Smith Jr for Kevin Durant as it was reported that Jabari Smith Jr.’s a link to the Suns Rockets forward in included in trade buzz surrounding u KD and this is from Bleach Report of the Athletic so I guess it would you know I guess it would it would make sense Jabari Smith Jr was involved in the deal but he’s just a guy that I I I would I would hate to see go um especially with what I think he’s starting to show at the end of the year um you know and he’s still so young at 22 years old um I think there’s still a lot of potential there for Jabari Jabari Smith Jr this year 12 points per game and seven rebounds per game for Jabari this year uh even though his minutes went down a little bit this season um and you know for the first time his career wasn’t a starter at all times he had 18 games where he came off the bench he looked great for this Rockets team in the playoffs shot 46% from three on three attempts from three in the playoffs against the Warriors in that series and shot 50% from the floor so I think there’s a bright future for Jabari Smith Jr and I’d like to see the Rockets keep him um because Kevin Durant’s not going to be here forever um even if the Rockets sign into a two or three year extension after or maybe I would say a two-year extension after this season’s over the Rockets trade for Kevin Durant that puts Jabari Smith Jr at 25 years old 26 years old so Dylan Brooks is not going to be on this team forever i think Dylan Brooks if if the Rockets trade for Kevin Durant dylan Brooks is probably involved in the deal so but so I’m not going to act like it’s going to be the end of the world the Rockets give up Jabari for Kevin Durant but what he showed this year I think he’s a he’s a guy that uh I just love to see what he would look at at 25 years old uh 26 years old with how good he’s been at 22 um and and the improvements you saw this year so um I’d hate to see the Rockets give up on a guy that they selected third overall um I think there are other like I’ve talked about in the past how I do not want to see Tar Een go i think it would suck to see the Terror Twins not be on this team anymore with the men Thompson and Tar E obviously a men’s not going to go anywhere he’s untouchable but if Tari goes it’s the end of the Terror Twins with Tar and and Madden that is scary defensively to deal with and and maybe that’s why the Rockets might not want to trade Tar Een potentially but it you know I I used to say all the time Tari Een is not a guy I want to see the Rockets trade for you know there’s not a guy I want to see the Rockets trade away for you know for Kevin Durant really I’ve said before really there’s only three young guys on this team of the core young players that I’d be okay with the Rockets trading away for Durant jaylen Green Reed Shepard Cale Whitmore and then whatever draft picks they would want potentially and then Dylan Brooks who’s not a young guy but those are the guys I would have been okay with going to Phoenix but honestly now hearing that with Kevin Durant he’s got um the Rockets are a team he would make a long commitment to that makes me want to see the Rockets potentially go after Kevin Durant more cuz hearing that he he would commit to this team that makes me want that makes me you know more okay with the Rockets going after him as a fan and and I think I’d be okay if the Rockets gave up Tory Een like if you gave up Dylan Brooks Reed Shepard Ty Een and Cam Whit Moore um and you know let’s just say also you give up you know Jock Landel and you get Kevin Durant and Caleb Martin back in the deal and then you give him a couple first round picks that is something I wouldn’t mind and in that way you get to keep Jabari Smith Jr i know you give up a lot of assets young assets in that deal of giving up Reed Cam and Tori but is it is it worse than having to get rid of Jabari uh you know or having to give rid of potentially Jaylen Green i I don’t know i mean like I um I don’t know um I I I wouldn’t be pissed if Jaylen Green got traded but I don’t want to see the Rockets trade two starters on their team right now uh in one trade for a for one you know for one starter like um because the problem would be here’s here’s like if you if this is the this is the thing I’m saying if the Rockets trade away Jaylen Green and Dylan Brooks in the same trade for Kevin Durant who’s going to be the shooting guard on the team fred’s going to be the one like is it is is a men gonna become the the one and then like would this would would the Rockets have a really big starting lineup where a men’s the one and Fred’s the two Jabari’s the three Katie’s the four and Shenun’s the five and there’s no true shooting guard in that lineup fred’s the shooting guard in that lineup if you trade Dylan Brooks and Jaylen Green in the same trade so that’s why I say I don’t know about trading Jaylen Green and Dylan Brooks together but like Dylan Brooks Cam Whitmore Reed Shepard and and you know and Een as much as I don’t want to see those young guys go I don’t want to see Jabari Smith Jr go and so let me know your thoughts on the Houston Rockets trading Jabari Smith Jr to the Phoenix Suns that’s the video hope you guys enjoyed and peace out go
