out there happy Father’s Day i am a father myself so I hope you guys are enjoying um a day filled with love from your significant other others and your children i also al also want to give a special uh Father’s Day shout out um to my own dad thank you so much for making me a Chicago Bears fan and just teaching me the ropes on how to be a great father but once again huge shout out to all the Papa Bears out there so Bears fans we all remember um the huge ESPN story written by Seth Wickersam of Kaylin Williams and you know we don’t want to give it get in too much deep detail on today’s episode of Kee on the Mic because we’ve already talked about that but within that story the column that Seth Wickersam wrote and interviewed with Kayn Williams uh a part of that story uh was basically Caleb Williams um had no coaches really helping him break down film and you know there’s even parts of the story where Caleb Williams would go to his dad saying “Hey no one has helped me break down film i’m basically doing it all by myself.” And it was really a huge uproar i’m among Bears fans and we actually talked about that and you know just gave us uh you know another reason not to like not only Matt Eberloose um but you know the rest of the Chicago Bears coaching staff also Shane Walding Caleb Williams old offensive coordinator but here is now the funny thing on this Father’s Day Sunday um there was actually just a article posted just a couple of hours ago of ex Chicago Bears head coach Matt Iberloo he was recently speaking with Cowboys writers Ed Werder um and Matt Mosley and he actually addressed that situation um in regard to Caleb Williams um having no coaches you know really help him break down help him break down film or or or you know just helping Kale Williams in general to be the best quarterback he can be um in his rookie season this is what Matt Abberluse had to say on the situation i just wanted to bring it to your guys’ attention not trying to backtrack or talk too much about Matt Erfloose but I found it hilarious and I wanted to bring it to your guys’ attention this is what Matt Erlus had to say in his interview he said “I would say this in the development of the quarterback position and really all positions at my time with the Bears we’ve always had daily coached film sessions.” Erlu said that was all through the entire year that’s what I observed and that’s and that’s where where it was um he also you know the people the the Cowboys writers also brought up’s relationship with iconic college football coach Nick Sabin um from their time at Toledo um they actually referenced how Sabin’s hands-on approach to young quarterback development um to which Ibra actually agreed to that sentiment um but did not really have any anything else to say he’s like “That’s really all I have to say about it.” Ebra said “That’s what it is.” Um so here’s the thing Bears fans i I don’t deny whatsoever and once again this is now a he said she said stuff but I don’t deny that I flu and the coaches were in the in the film room um with with their players but but at the end of the day just because the coaches were in the film room doesn’t mean they were actually giving Caleb Williams to the proper information to be successful there’s been reports um um saying that you know Shane Waldron was intimidated of Caleb Williams didn’t know how to coach a a player like Williams um so so I I do think that you know I flu comes from a good place in regard to like yeah hey he probably was checking in on the players but doesn’t mean he knew how to actually develop a quarterback we all know what happened i mean it was a show in regard to to the coaching staff i feel like Caleb Williams handled it the best way that he could uh and still had a pretty good rookie season do I feel that Caleb Williams could could have had a better rookie season with with better coaching absolutely but I think with what Caleb Williams was dealt with as a rookie in a very crappy situation and we’ve talked about this time and time again I think a quarterback in the situation he was in throwing for 3500 yards 20 passing touchdowns and six interceptions is very good and there was a handful of games um that were left on the football field due to the coaching mistakes of Matt Eberlu Shane Waldron and the other coaches on the Chicago Bears roster um but once again this is now he said she said i I I I find it very comical um that Nattlu basically fired back at Caleb Williams and I know a lot of people will say “Hey this is Natoo uh calling Caleb Williams a a liar which you know we will never know the real truth.” And I think more will come out um as the years go by um but at the end of the day there’s a reason why Matt Ebloo who is no longer um the head football coach of the Chicago Bears and now Caleb Williams gets another opportunity um with a better hopefully better head coach in Ben Johnson that is going to pay more attention to detail that’s going to be on Caleb Williams 247 i mean and it’s going to help Caleb Williams really break down the film week to week and make him the best player he can be and make sure he’s prepared for every single one of these games and that’s the crazy thing that Caleb Williams basically insinuated that he was not prepared um for a lot of these football games and and by the looks of it he still looked like he put up pretty good performances right so um w with no direction from the coaching staff I have to give Caleb Williams a whole lot of kudos but once again how do you guys feel about what Matt Efflu had to say i know it doesn’t matter at this point but I do find it kind of funny that Matt Efflu had a comment and just basically fired back um on what Caleb Williams had to say in regard to no coaches um helping him break down film so let me know how you’re feeling about that down below in the comments section but Bears fans before I let you guys go on today’s episode of Geek on the Mic I wanted to talk about three players um that could possibly be on the chopping block um once training camp comes around obviously Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears um biggest message to the team was like “Hey there’s going to be a competition across this roster and Ben Johnson also made that very clear so players have to be have to come back to training camp ready to go and and I’m really excited to see the level of competition under Ben Johnson’s leadership and obviously this is what Ryan Ples has been pushing for ever since he was named the Chicago Bears general manager a couple of years ago so I’m going to go over a couple of players and as always make sure you guys interact with me down below in the comment section um the first player that could possibly be on the chopping block as we near Chicago Bears training camp is wide receiver Tyler Scott and this is a a tough situation because he was drafted um in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft and Tyler Scott definitely had some flashes here and there um but has never really been able to put it all together i’m not sure it’s because once again I’m dealing with the crappy coaching staff and the coaching staff not really knowing how to use Tyler Scott um maybe maybe Tyler Scott will be a bigger part of you know Ben Johnson’s offense um but after a couple of years you know and not really proving anything and kind of just being kind of you know sketchy and on and off and all that good stuff it may be hard for Tyler Scott to find a spot on this football team especially when you look at the current state of the Chicago Bears roster especially the wide receiver room you have DJ Moore Roman Dunay and I think drafting Luther Burton um this year for the Chicago Bears really hurts Tyler Scott as well and then of course getting OZ from the Washington Commanders um Duivere as well there’s going to be a lot of competition in the wide receiver room so once again um as as I like to always say I think this is definitely a player um under Ben Johnson’s leadership that could surprise us um in training camp in the preseason and maybe find a spot on this roster um but he’s really going to have to show his hand during training camp and and stack a lot of good practices and and even and show his ass in preseason games as well if he wants to make this roster so Bears fans do you agree that this could possibly be a cut candidate for the Chicago Bears and wide receiver Tyler Scott now moving on to the second player is running back Roshan Johnson and this may come by some surprise to some Bears fans on today’s episode of Geek on the Mic um much like wide receiver Tyler Scott he was also a fourth round pick in 2023 once again Roshan Johnson has a lot of flashes as once again a short yardage and goal line running back um but now it’s time for him to take the next step and I think having Ben Johnson and even Eric Benemy as running back coach could help Roshan Johnson take the next step we all know that DeAndre Swift as running back won and then I think it’s going to be you know between K Nungai Roshan Johnson obviously you have Ian Willer and Travis Homer as well all battling it out to be the running back too i think the Chicago Bears will probably keep up what maybe to up to three running backs um so that could bode well for Roshan Johnson maybe it couldn’t but once again he’s only shown his worth as a short yardage um and goal line running back and that’s not all his fault that’s because the last coaching staff maybe didn’t use him properly i mean maybe Ben Johnson has a bigger plan for Roshan Johnson this is definitely a guy that can show up in training camp and easily be the running back too behind DeAndre Swift and as a Bears fan I’d be very pleased with that i’ve been banging the table ever since the Bears drafted Johnson a couple of years ago that he could be worked more for the Chicago Bears offense and I think a two-headed monster if used the right way with Roshan Johnson DeAndre Swift and still keeping Ka Nungai as your running back three could be very useful for the Chicago Bears offense so I’m wishing him nothing but the best but if he doesn’t come and show his worth even with Ben Johnson and Eric Bian leading him the right way um this could be a possible cut candidate for the Chicago Bears do you guys agree with this one let me know down below in the comment section the last name that I can think that can be a possible cut candidate for the Chicago Bears is defensive lineman Zack Pickkins i I don’t think this comes by much surprise to you guys Bears fans um but once again he’s a third round pick in the 2023 NFL draft you see a trend that all these picks were from the 23 NFL draft but in his first couple of years just hasn’t been what Ryan Poles and the Bears have expected him to turn into um he’s appeared in 26 games over the last two seasons only 39 tackles a sack and a half um during that time span and then you think with the additions of Grady Jarrett and free agency and then obviously Shamar Turner in this this last NFL draft I think the odds for Pickkins making the team um could be very thin he’s going to have to have a really solid training camp and show his ass in preseason games if he wants to make a spot on this roster do you guys agree that this could be a possible cut candidate um once training camp comes around let me know down below in the comment section but other than that Bears fans make sure you guys continue to hit that subscribe button and the bell notification to catch all Bears content right here on the podcast make sure you Eberflus is a Clown π€‘

Happy Fatherβs Day Kieq π»β¬οΈ
Why are you reporting what he said? Lord have mercy he was not worth it. I am out. God's Blessings π
FLUS doesn't like to hear the truth that's why he talking now
Yea it did look like Shane was intimidated by Caleb Williams def
ππππππππππ
Yep Tyler cut and I don't think ro will get cut but I think Homer will get cut
And the defensive line it's between Zach Pickens and Dom Robinson if both of them I would cut both of them if they don't jump off the tape in preseason the 3 games ur out of here
Happy Fatherβs Day π»β¬οΈ
I'm sure Eberflus did watch tape with the offense. Yet I'll bet you a million dollars he didn't sit down with the QB and break down any actual individual QB tape/study with Williams or Bageant. Had Eberflus or Waldron sat down with the QB to break down tape individually there would have at least been a snippet of it on Hard Knocks. All that being said these players need to quit bitching about Eberflus and Waldron already and prove to the fanbase that they as players werent.part of the problem.
Eberflus was a failure and never took accountability for all his bad coaching
Caleb Williams is a crybaby, always the victim. No more excuses this year Caleb!
Bears need to spank the cowboys when they play
Flus couldn't figure out how us use time outs ..yet he blames a rook ππππ
I believe flus. Itβs clear what Caleb and his dad is attempting to do. No excuses this season.
Why should we care what our inept ex-coach has to say about anything?
The issue is Caleb didnβt say people didnβt watch film with him, he said people didnβt show him how to efficiently watch film on his own outside the buildingβ¦.
Sept 21st bout to show a lot
Eberflus will blame everyone but himself that dude was incompetent af
Other players have corroborated that the offense was not developed. Kole
Kemet, Keenan Allen and DJ Moore all said the OC and staff did not breakdown the film with the players. This led to a disconnect on coverage reads. Ben Johnson upon watching film said the players did not know what the purpose of the plays were.
Eberflus is a shit coach and cant admit it.
Hows that timeout workin out for ya
Y
Happy Father's Day Gentlemen!… Thank you for the awesome Bears reporting…
None of this says that CW had "no direction from coaching staff". It it clear that the staff broke down plays with players during their film sessions. The info from the CW reports is that no one showed him how to successfully break down film in his private time. The conflation of the two is an ignorant fallacy. Both Eberflus and the CW reports can be correct because they are talking about two different things. FFS!
First of all, all the players were asking for more and the coaching staff couldn't provide more. Secondly, my problem with a lot of these arguments from analysts is that it ignores that the Bears' coaches were looking at the performance of the offense on Sunday and then choosing not to address anything they saw with their own damn eyes. It is obvious to me that the team was ill prepared coming into the season and then once in the thick of it, the coaching staff had no way to fix anything even a little bit.
