just about set to go and our pitcher tonight Carlos Rodon and Singy that may be his name but the strikeout is his game well Boo I can tell you’ve been working on that one but yes you are right this guy strikeout per nine over 11 i mean that’s just getting it done there are a lot of strikeouts in that other lineup and when you look at what he’s able to do man it’s going to be a fun one to watch today so in now for the Angels zack Neto gets the call and we’re underway [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and that one up and in lookout straighten him up a little bit the shorts stop takes the ball and that’s downed away three and one in there at the knees and it’s three and two [Applause] lifted in the air right center field bellinger makes the grab and there’s one down all right let’s take a look at the Angels lineup this is a good offense Chris you’re going to get quality at bats and balls put in play consistently with this group and it doesn’t really matter who they’re facing on the mound they have the ability to go out and compete and win ball games um if it’s an all-star or Sai Young award winner to just a rookie up in the big leagues so when you have that you have a chance to win every night if I was a pitcher on this team I’d feel pretty good about taking them out for him and first offering is fouled off rodone in his 10th season he features a fourseam fast a slider a change up a curve and occasionally uses a cutter one down base is empty and that’s in the dirt and that one missing low swing and a miss for the strike out the high heat too much on that one just a mid90s challenge fast ball right there not much to it and I’m sure he’d love another swing at it because it was in a very hitable location those are the swings where you can sometimes start to question yourself as a hitter and say “How’d I miss that?” But you know what happens two out space is empty next offering is fouled back [Music] rodan ready the O2 on the way and that one is inside ball one got him looking and he didn’t like the call angels go down one two three and now the Bombers will get their shot no score you’re watching Major League Baseball on the show back now in the Bronx and getting the start Kyle Hendris and Chris pitching on the road has not been particularly kind to him yeah and you don’t want to be too quick to say that he can’t pitch on the road sometimes you know it’s just a matter of luck it’s not having a feel difference between the bullpen mound to the mound out there on the playing field don’t know what it is but I know this he’s got good enough stuff to overcome and get it done on the road as well as at home so we’ll see what he’s able to do in this one rolled softly but that goes foul the line of the pitch hard grounder into the outfield for a nine so a man on base to start the inning he was all over that one pretty tough for the infielders to do anything with that one he pulled it hard into the outfield and even when you keep it on the ground it feels great when you hit a missile like that and next for New York Ben Rice this is another guy capable of hitting tape measure home runs inside just missed what gisham aboard here at first with nobody out all right man two balls no strikes to count two and [Music] that skips in the dirt well with the amount of pitches that can end up in the dirt a good secondary lead doesn’t have to get away from the catcher but if you’re anticipating based off the trajectory get yourself in the scoring position there’s the strike nobody out runner at first [Music] and that is ball four and the Yankees are in business oh now he’s got two runners on after that walk and things can get out of hand in a hurry in these situations so he’s going to have to find a way to get back into the strike zone paul Goldmith will climb in and that one just missed off the outside edge hendrick steals that one ripped but foul in the air foul off first he’s under it calls it in and there’s one away and time now to check out the New York Yankees lineup and it’s clear the most important job they have today is getting to the starting pitcher early and often no doubt about that that’s the best way to disrupt a game but can they do it certainly something for us to pay attention to in this one partner one down here comes Cody Bellinger i know we’re still early in the stages of this game but this at bat has the potential of being a difference maker you’ve got to stay calm in the box and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter really good job in this spot to get ahead in the count he’s going to have to continue finish off this hitter swing and a highf fly ball to left he’s got it there’s two away and up next for New York Jason Dominguez how many times have we seen an early at bat change the course of a game it happens every night in baseball and maybe it happens again here and fouled off [Music] two on two outs he’s got it and that’ll end the inning yanks strand a pair scoreless after one [Music] second inning set to go so now the angel cleanup hitter Taylor Ward Rodon back to work and that’s outside [Music] check swing went around and the count is one and one [Music] and that one moves his feet [Music] that’s a B upstairs and that is ball four and that’s how they get their first base runner of the game i don’t think he really wanted to pitch to him right there anyhow jorge Solair up at the plate his next home run will be the 200th in his career it would be pretty cool to see it right here solair with just one more homer to reach the 200 career mark you know we usually talk about bigger numbers when it comes to homers but only about 400 major leaguers have ever hit 200 round trippers in their careers he’s putting himself in great company and this is inside boo he never moved cuz he never had time to with that kind of velocity you’d prefer that pitcher work away swing and a miss and the runner stays where he is i got to think that was the plan all the way he set him up with a high fast ball and then bury that curveball down low to get him swinging now especially with how effective pitchers work up in the zone these days that’s a devastating combination here is Dardo and it finds its way through for ahead quick throw back in lead runner holds at second with one gone here’s Joe Adele ball on a pitch inside the last thing he wants is to hit the ball on the ground but I wouldn’t expect many pitches up in the zone they’ll be pitching for a double play in this spot runners at first and second with one gone swing and a miss as he was out front there’s a good change up to hit up in the zone i don’t think he recognized it i’m sure he’d love to have that one back rodon sets and deals on the ground to third offbalance feed there’s one on the baseman that’s two poetry emotion there as the second baseman turns the double play nice throw to first and that’s the way to end the inning back at Yankee Stadium the batter will be the shortstop Anthony Vulpi and takes low for ball one right through there for a strike throughout history the fast ball down has been the most successful pitch guys can handle a little bit better these days but they of course still prefer something built high [Applause] hendrickx delivers and that’s in for a strike and that one in the air center field puts it away for the out here’s the Yankees catcher now JC Escara and that one is downstairs one and [Music] line drive caught that swing right there tells me he’s seeing the ball pretty well well I know it didn’t produce a hit but he made solid contact and that’s all you’re looking to do anytime you’re at the plate pablo Reyes stands in that one’s upstairs ball one come on Yankees and it’s even up one ball one strike [Music] yankees on the ground right side ranifo sends it to first that’s the third out inning over down in order go to Yankees we’ll move to the third with no score back in the Bronx well here we go top of the third scoreless game so in now for the Angels luis Rangifo yankees gets the slider in there for a strike that one finds the zone that’s strike two quickly in an O2 hole you’re going to have to give something up here in terms of power if you want to put the ball in play with any authority and that’s in the dirt [Music] he goes down looking just dropped it in there on the top of the strike zone certainly not what he was trying to do with that curve ball by any means but at the plate you can tell he wasn’t expecting it either i’d say he got away with a big time hanger on that one the batter now Kevin Newman good defender he’s been inconsistent offensively this one chopped on the ground but fouled top of the third no score just missed and fast ball misses outside for a ball and it’s two and one swing and a miss and that’s strike two foul ball another two- two upcoming one down base is empty in the air pretty deep out to center field pulls it down and there’s two gone now batter Zack Neto the next to hit for the Angels fly to right his first time what a stop jump throw safe at first and an infield single keeps the inning going the effort was there with the jump throw you got to love it but it just wasn’t in time still a really impressive play just to get to that ball and make it close at first and not every shortstop could even make that play bad at first and now the first baseman Nolan Showell 0 for one he struck out swinging last time rodone checks over to first and he’s back way high with that one ball one looking good needto off of first with two away come on let’s go swing and that ball smashed on a line and that’ll do it angels strand one and we are still scoreless set for the bottom of the third and stepping in for the Yankees Oswalt PZA line drive and that should be extra bases now he’ll turn for second and he’s there with a leadoff double didn’t take long to get a result for that at bat pretty much a model swing on that one as he rifted into the opposite field gap and I’m sure he’s going to be watching that one back on video because that’s the kind of swing you want to bottle so many positives that led to that knock in scoring position now and a good opportunity to push across the first run of the ball game back to the top of the lineup here’s the center fielder Trent Gisham and that is in for a strike it’s 0 and one let’s [Music] go javlin sizzling on its way through to the outfield now a long throw home tag now he’s safe and it’s one- nothing always feels good when you come through and get your team on the board first there’s nothing cheap about the way he got that one through the infield that was ripped caught out in front and didn’t get under it like he would have liked but definitely put a good swing on it and next for New York Ben Rice walked his first time and that drops in for a strike rudder at first with no outs here [Applause] that one fouled off [Music] gets a piece and it stays 0 and two got it and one gone really nice job working both sides of the plate for that strikeout started him off inside then away back inside again and that one set him up for that last pitch on the outside part of the plate that he just swung right through pretty smooth sequence right there here’s Paul Goldmid 0 for one as he popped out foul to first that misses and that’s ball one [Applause] and that drops in for a strike good approach right there you want to get something just a little higher that you can elevate stay out of that double play and a one-two and delivers outside [Music] and it remains two and two rolled to short could be two offbalance feed there’s one and that’s two so one run in the inning on this base hit it’s now a one- nothing ball game back after this on the show back for more from the Bronx out of the fourth stepping in the long ball threat Mike Trout great speed and great power a great athlete quite simply there’s the strike when you have a real athletic player and who’s able to do the baseball mechanical things really well look out because the sky’s is the limit on that potential that’s in a slider missed he’s been pitching well but going through this middle of the order second time through we’ll see what kind of adjustments are being made [Music] blows the high heat past them that’s a strike out but that kind of velocity an elevated fast ball even if it’s still in the strike zone can be tough for hitters to get on top of [Applause] so now it’s the fourhole hitter Taylor Ward at 96 that pitch is in for a strike one down base is empty and a swing miss can’t really take the donut off the back part that one the other way and foul ball one out base is empty pitch misses there it’s a ball in two strikes pretty standard high O2 fast ball right there if you’re smart to look for something down in the zone but not too far you want to chase that banking ball in the dirt oh man just locked him up with that slider even though it caught a lot of the zone and I think that tells you all you need to know about what he was looking for in the box and it clearly was not that pitch one home run shy of 200 for his career just missed nasty back door slider there’s really nothing you can do with that if you swing at it so that’s a good take by him two down nobody on top half of inning number four inside two and one right through there for a strike [Music] center field gisham trying to get there he makes the grab and that is that nothing doing for the offense that time and midway in the fourth Yankees won and the Angels nothing back here in New York John Shabi and Chris Singleton with you and leading off the bottom of the fourth Cody Bellinger yankees let’s go [Applause] and that one is in for a strike bellinger in his eighth season 29 years old and they went out and made a trade for him last season pretty good pitch there to take a rip at he wants to get his arms extended he likes the ball away from him a little bit just not able to square it up and he couldn’t hold back he’s rung up on strikes away away away clearly that was the plan right there he just wasn’t able to put it in play and that should tell you something as a hitter sometimes you’re a little too conscious of the inside pitch and you’re not able to cover that outside part of the plate so clearly some adjustments to be made next time digging in is the switching outfielder Jason Dominguez that one’s in there that’s strike one he’s pitching well but not throwing a ton of first pitch strikes usually doesn’t work out for success but you can never predict baseball base is empty one away we’re here in the bottom of the fourth missed with a change up and it’s a ball and a strike for you growing up in New York City I mean you’re a big sports fan tell me about your experience with the Yankees growing up i really went to Sha Stadium more than I did to Yankee Stadium i grew up a Phillies fan there was one game though that I went to as a kid i sat in the upper deck it was the game that Bo Jackson hit three homers in his first three plate appearances and then hurt a shoulder diving for Dion Sanders inside the park home run that’s probably the most memorable game that I ever attended as a fan at Old Yankee Stadium just missed Two down on a short stop takes a ball two balls two straight [Music] got him looking and good work there as he gets a one two three so no runs no hits no errors and no one left onto the top of the fifth we go yankees won and the Angels nothing back in New York Travis Darno digs in rodone back to work swing and a tapper that rolls foul you know these Angels need to bring up the quality of their at bats and specifically their swings they’re trying to find ways to drive the ball with some authority but it’s just not happening for him so far zero extra base hits in the game so it’s been tough for him to get anything going back slider struck him out stood absolutely no chance on that slider right there and I don’t mean to laugh but that’s a tough one i mean pretty much a perfect strikeout pitch i mean it looks like a fast ball middle kind of has putter action and it just bunches you up to where you can’t get your hands through and the barrel to it and not much you can do unless you recognize the spin early and you spit on it and now Joe Adele could be extra bases now he turns and heads for second the throw in and now the tying run is into scoring position [Music] singy that was a laser shot and a good thing we have Stackcast to give us the details yeah get out of the way on that one that ball flew out of the box at 112 mph you talk about generating a ton of power in that swing he did it with quick hands good lower half and just unloaded on that ball digging in Luis Reano elbow one strike [Music] one adele over at second one down that’s inside now two balls in a strike swing and a miss nice change up and now the count filled up three and two kevin Newman in the deck circle hoping to get a chance to make a big impact here one out and a runner at second and we’re in the top of the fifth got him and he’s up to eight strikeouts in this one well even if you don’t feel great about it you got to swing the bat with two strikes in this situation you’ve got the tying run out there in scoring position just put the ball in play maybe something good will happen it just didn’t look like he understood the situation and next for LA Kevin Newman 0 for one with a fly out to center right through there for a strike next offer is in for a strike perhaps not quite ready to hit first two pitches by him for a couple of strikes now back is against the wall he’s going to have to figure something out and figure it out quickly pitch misses there now one and two well clearly not too happy with the call there thought he caught the top of the zone and you could pretty much read his lips saying that’s not up and at second line drive base hit heading for the plate he will score and the Angels even it up and it’s an RBI single it’s 1-1 well he gets it done in a big spot to get the run across that can be a dangerous pitch if you don’t get it inside enough because as a hitter you see it coming across the plate the whole way no problem handling it and putting a good swing on it that time go ahead run on base needto getting ready to hit swings through that one for strike one ball game is still tied they can get out of this inning with a tie game now snap throw to first newman back on a dive two outs one ball one strike swinging a foul out of play [Music] and a swing and a miss that’s his ninth strike out so far a run on two hits and they lead one last half of the fifth coming up all tied 1-1 ready to go for the last half of the inning and here’s the catcher JC Escara [Music] first offering misses badly for ball one you know these Yankees just lacking discipline at the plate in this ball game they’ve been chasing pitches outside the zone all game and it’s led to some frustrating moments they’ve been fooled quite a bit today late swing fouled to the left next offering is downstairs really good take especially with two strikes swinging a ground ball up the middle gets it to first gets the catcher by a step good fade and sinking action of that change up got that hitter to roll over so now here’s the DH pablo Reyes grounded out his first time that one ripped right center field that’s got a chance that one hops against the fence into second with a double and they’ve got something brewing now clearly he was ready to hit right there put a really nice balanced swing on it and when you can rope one into the gap like that you think of extra bases from the first couple of steps out of the box and they feel really good about that one a chance now to take the lead and at this point in the game that could be a deciding run so the go-ahehead run in scoring position oswald PZA stepping in now for the Yankees that’s in there and that’s strike one [Music] and that one fouled off one ball two strike in the dirt but kept close well done behind the dish [Music] in the dirt no advance good job behind the dish [Music] now all it up next offering is outside [Music] fouled off again and it remains three and two good battle here about to be the eighth pitch of the bat swing and a highf fly ball out towards right center field brings it in and there’s two down the center fielder number 12 Gisha now here’s Trent Gisham Um hammered on the line base hit coming home he’ll score easily it’s an RBI single it’s 2-1 well he delivers in a huge spot right there well he’s so dialed in and I don’t think he even realizes how much pressure exists out there very easy swing nice and relaxed this is the type of approach you want to see guys take in this situation two outs runner on first and here is Ben Rice ripped to short they get the force inning over but the RBI single pushes across a run and this is now a 2-1 ball game it’s Major League Baseball and it’s on the show top six so in now for the Angels Nolan Showell breaking ball in there for a strike oh he’s looking great so far it helps when over 80% of your first pitches are strikes he might be able to go the distance if he keeps this up popped up to the left into foul ground pulls it down and he makes the catch one up one down and now batting Mike Trout who’s 0 for two with a pair of strikeouts if you don’t get ahead in the count you can forget about having any success against him and ball one well it’s been a very impressive outing so far his command has been a big part of it even when he misses he misses outside the strike zone which is exactly what a pitcher wants [Music] next offering way off the plate on the corner at the knees for a strike off the mark there and the count’s full the Halos trailing by a run and we’re the top half of the sixth outside and that is ball four it feels to me like his time on the mound is running short starting to show some signs of fatigue so we’ll see how much longer they let him go runner on at first with one gone taylor Ward the next to hit for the Angels a strike out and a walk first pitch not close activity in the bullpen for the Yankees jonathan Loisa up and throwing yarro the lefty warming up as well [Music] and the one miss is low chris with that distraction and a speedy guy at first he’s in a favorable hitter count well if nothing else I mean this is a great spot for a hitter to be in and it finds its way through for a hit they fired in quickly so it’s first and second with only one away oh just a nice job coming through in a pretty high lever spot right there wasn’t able to elevate that one but he sure hit it hard enough to get through the infield there’s not a whole lot of time for the defenders to react and try to make a play when it’s ripped like that now a pretty big at bat coming up with a chance to even this ball game up solair in the box now takes strike one trap the lead runner out at second ward at first one gone that misses and one and one there’s a ball two two still two and two after the foul ball that wasn’t an easy pitch to hit it’s much easier to do damage against mistakes but that’s not what that pitch was two two on the way sea strikes him out for the second time today oh you got to be ready to swing the bat with a runner in scoring position in two strikes just put the ball in place somewhere and you got a chance very frustrating for him I’m sure see if the next guy can pick him up and now it’s Travis Darno with the plate three pitch strikeout last time up got to put up more of a fight in this one that’s in there and that is strike one two outs couple of base runners at first and second in for a strike and now just one pitch away from surviving the inning fights that one away and the count remains 0 and two ball one there that’s a really good take [Music] and the one two misses to even the count definitely got the hitter conscious of the pitch inside really think the outer half is open that’s the ball in the dirt runners hold one and we’re back bottom of the six and here’s the first baseman Paul Goldmid sing four homers in 22 games at Old Yankee Stadium what do you remember well I remember my rookie year hitting two in one game and you know before that game in the clubhouse there was a gentleman there who owned a suit company there in downtown Manhattan and he said to me “Hey kid you hit a home run in the game tonight come over to the store tomorrow and I’ll give you a free suit fought off foul so I went into the game I happened to hit two when I walked into the store the next day and he looked at me said “You’re trying to put me out of business aren’t you?” And that was a great great experience that I had as a rookie playing against the Yankees playing in New York and that’s ruled a swing it’s a strikeout here’s Cody Bellinger for two in this one so did Super Joe give you two suits super Joe hooked me up with two suits and first offering is fouled off back up the middle in a base hit just kind of slice that one into center hitting is really easy for some guys one thing that I can see already his bat stays in the zone on plane for an extended period of time and guys like that they have a high contact rate and they have more barrels because of that bat being on plane and even when you don’t get it great it’s still hit hard enough to dunk something in like that in front of the center fielder now Jack Coachitz gets handed the rock out of the pen hasn’t pitched in the last three days so digging in Jason Dominguez delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95 bellinger goes and there’s a foul ball [Music] misses it’s a strike out he’s really good hitting the baseball the other way so credit the pitcher for having him out in front of that pitch clearly he had him fooled here’s the shortstop at the play anthony Vulpi outside low and that is ball one rangifo they take the force out that’s out number three one left for the Yankees as they’re unable to add to their 2-1 lead welcome back we’re in the seventh we have a new pitcher on the mound Jonathan Loisa these are the spots relievers really make a name for themselves late and close there’s not much margin for error but at the same time there’s a reason they’re put in these situations so digging in Joe Adele one for two fouled off he was late looking to get the tying run on base just missed one ball one strike yeah that’s fouled off [Music] that missed inside and it’s two and two swing and a high-fly ball right field gisham is there makes the catch and there’s one down and now it’s the switch inning second baseman luis Reanifo Loisa a righty that throws with power 30 years old now and he’s a native of Nicaragua just missed holding on to a one-run lead here in the top half of inning number seven and he swings through that one one that’s a little bit low hey you got this one down base is empty that one lifted to left dominguez drop steps heads back on it and it’s caught for the out kevin Newman kevin Newman the next to hit come on let’s go right through there for a strike [Music] two down swing and a miss he finds himself in a tough situation early just going to try to simplify it take a knock the other way if you can breaking ball misses down and away one swing and a chopper out to short throws across the diamond that’s a third out and the Angels are gone in order and they trail it here two to one [Music] bottom of the seventh here’s the Yankees catcher now jc Escara in for a strike go and one no ball one strike no that’s a ball one ball one strike next offering misses down and away [Music] that one fouled off two and two that’s down and in [Music] [Music] that one misses so a lead off walk oh a breaking ball in that 3-2 count kind of tells you that that’s the pitch he has the most confidence in right now just couldn’t find the strike zone man at first nobody out pablo Reyes digs in now here goes the runner swinging a ball hit out towards left center field flashes the leather on the run and catch one down oh those can be pretty fun as an outfielder got to put it into his highest gear and go a long way to track that one down nothing better than that you feel like a wide receiver playing football and now Oswalt PZA not close with that one and that’s ball one and a strike in there [Applause] in the dirt one ball two strikes escara the runner at first with one gone in the inning grounder might be two can’t it cleanly gets off a throw and they get the out good recovery wasn’t easy following the misplay the center fielder number 12 so the batter now will be Trent Gisham three for three with three singles close but called a ball ball one just missed oh no need to go right at this guy first base is open he can hurt you so make him expand his zone if he doesn’t give him a walk by three in the dirt blocked he’s in there pascara up to third on the wild pitch even with a good secondary lead sometimes it’s hard to see just how far that ball’s gotten away from the catcher and if you can make it to third base pretty much standing up well that time he seemed to have a pretty good read gets to third safely and now he’s just 90 ft away from scoring two outs and one in scoring position [Music] so now two on and two outs he did not take the bat off his shoulder the entire at bat so two outs with runners on the corners rice will hit next he provides a surprising amount of pop from the second base position listen that’s not something to take lightly getting that kind of production from the guys up the middle it’s not a strength of most lineups this is again five in a row and what does that do for a team when you get power from unexpected spots like that when you’re in the dugout and you see a guy come up big like that that you don’t necessarily expect it it just energizes that entire team runners on first and third two away right through there for a strike two in one [Applause] [Music] two outs swing and a miss struck him out that ends the inning as they squander a chance to pick up some insurance i think the key is arm action on the change up when you can sell it like a fastball you drop the velocity you get the swinging mess and you walk off the field welcome back and a new arm on the mound to start the eighth mark Lighter Jr coming on to face a righty here and he’s been fantastic against him this year his numbers in those matchups are very good back to the top of the order now zack Neto now at the plate one for three strike on the inside corner meanwhile activity in the bullpen devin Williams the anchor of the staff is getting ready to close this one out yarro also throwing [Music] just missed [Music] and that misses two balls in a strike [Music] late swing fouled off two two now got him looking that was pretty nasty pretty big strike out right there to start this eighth inning down one any lead off base runner really makes this inning a bit more interesting but now this offense has to switch from possibly trying to manufacture a run to needing to run into something or just trying to string multiple hits together to get a run across the plate now the batter now Nolan Shanowell on the ground right side into the outfield base hit and that puts the tying run on base oh that started and ended pretty quickly no messing around right there he kind of rolled over on this pitch a little bit but he got enough behind it to shoot it through for a knock and you’ll take that anytime you can get him to find a hole here’s Mike Trout a walk and a pair of strikeouts late swing foul trying to hold a one-run lead and we’re in the top of the eighth swing and a miss fast ball and he gets out of the way oh way to lay off that pitch down swing and a miss and he is down on strikes for the third straight at bat now a chance for Taylor Ward and things could change quickly here with one swing right now they’re looking for something hit hard into the gaps give them an opportunity with two outs to score that run from first ball on the ground nice ground out and up to the plate comes Cody Bellinger that one inside ball one action in the pen down there hector getting ready to go base is empty one away here the bottom half of the eighth inning [Music] swing and a miss chased it out of the zone started in and ended up on the outside edge just changing planes and very difficult especially for a left-handed hitter to track [Music] and that one off the outside edge [Music] this one spoke could be trouble around first and hustling for second the throw in in safely it’s a double and his second hit all over that one right there graceline drive to the pole side right there but he didn’t spin off of it that’s the key you still have to extend through the baseball in order to hit a line drive like that one out runner at rung up on strikes man how many times do you see three fast balls in an at bat like that i’m sure once he got to two strikes he was trying to stay back for something off speed and just not ready for that third fast anthony Vulpi getting ready to hit 0 for three a fly out a ground out and a strike out let’s go got it started a little too early strike one this guy’s usually not one to chase pitches off the plate but he did there we’ll see if he can tighten up his zone a little bit [Music] out to short needto in plenty of time to first and that is the inning the Yanks leave one but they still lead it two to one now welcome back and here comes the closer Devin Williams well he’s the guy they hope to turn to right out of the pin to lock down so this game has gone the plan more or less let’s see if he can wrap it up here well one game and here is Jorge Solair 0 for three with two strikeouts and a fly out just missed [Music] with the shift on gets right into it and they get the lead off man in the ninth couple of pitches and a quick out so here’s Darnell with one out clips the corner that’s strike one crowd locked in right now one-run game here in the ninth next offering is in for a strike absolutely frozen on that right down the middle and that’s a pitch you’re just not getting back now he’s in a tough spot especially after falling behind on a good first pitch and that one missing low really close pitch down around the knees there and you could see him asking where it missed probably doesn’t agree but it appears he’s ready to move on to the next pitch hit in the air right field bellinger and there’s two down angels down to their final out and now the center fielder Joe Adele and they’ve got the no doubles defense set up outfielders playing deep infielders guarding the lines that pitch in for a strike and it’s 0 and one one-run game here in the top of the ninth next pitch is outside that one missed it’s getting squeezed a little bit here late swanging in a miss and now two and two i think you’re sitting off speed there the Angels down at their final strike [Music] spoils that one and it remains two and two got it and that’s the ball game after four wins in a row you start to think a little bit that you’re on a roll and that’s the momentum that just takes on a life of its own players start hitting up and down the lineup you never know who’s going to come up with the big hit who’s going to come out of the bullpen and get the big outs but it’s a good feeling and you want to extend it and your final score here today 2-1 they hang on to win it by
