MLB LIVE🔴 Houston Astros vs Oakland Athletics – Jun 17, 2025 | Full Game MLB 2025 EN VIVO

all right just about set to go today’s starting pitcher Jeffrey Springs but Chris he hasn’t exactly been stellar here on his home mound well I’ll say this every player wants to perform well at their home ballpark in front of their fans in front of the city and you know this guy no different he wants to be more effective here so you know you look at the numbers they haven’t been great at home i’m sure he wants to turn that around and we’ll see if he’s able to start that in this one and that’s a fair ball takes the turn he’s digging for second and he’s going to get to second with nobody out well clearly he was ready to hit right there first pitch fast ball in a great spot to do some damage and he squared it up nicely so the go-ahehead run in scoring position diaz getting ready to hit that one fouled off bring them home no outs runner on second and that one missing inside a sharp slider battling here as he fouls it away strike him out stays alive foul ball still a one and two count five foul balls in this at bat so far and these two are going headtohead you can see the crowd they’re starting to get into it a little bit more and more each pitch even though there hasn’t been a ball in play yet went with the sweeper but it misses count him out cold strike three on the fast and that ran back over the other half well even though he strikes out he saw a lot of pitches and he battled plus It gave the guys behind him an opportunity to see more from the pitcher not the result he wanted but that’s still a good at bat jose Altuve up to hit here fought off foul altuve has a lot of history with the Astros in fact he’s played so many seasons in Houston that he’s the only player to be named an all-star in both leagues while playing for the same team you know Boo Albe goes back all the way to those Astros days in the NL Central before they moved to the AL West just missed let’s go smoked on the ground to second and they get out Tube for the Owl now we check out the Astros lineup not a whole lot going their way offensively the last few games Chris yeah Booan that can put more pressure on the pitching staff to try to limit the opponent to just one or two runs a game knowing that their offense is not scoring right now and that never really works well because you try to be too fine and you end up giving up a lot of runs so we’ll see if everybody can just relax bring things together and perform at a level that they’re capable of tap foul at the plate and that one almost hit him that’s outside ball two two-1 pñena on third with two out let’s hold him pop dump wilson sizes this one up he makes the grab and that’s the third out so the Astros leave one and the A’s will get their first opportunity in a scoreless ball game you’re watching Major League Baseball on the show back here with my pal Singy so here’s the lefty Brandon Walter what do you have on him Sigy well he’s been a very dependable starter for his club and what stands out for me is that left-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 against him and it just tells me they have a hard time tracking the baseball maybe it’s the release point maybe it’s the motion but just some way somehow they’ve got to figure out a way to pick it up and try to have some success from the left side lawrence Butler the leadoff batter as he looks at ball one walter measures 6’2 in he features a fourseam fast ball a change up a slider now this ball is well hit this one’s got a chance and it’s gone he made him pay for that one his 11th of the year it’s one nothing that’s a great way to fire up this crowd they’re feeling it now when you’re working with this kind of velocity so critical that you move the ball around work quickly and make sure that you keep that hitter off balance clearly not fooled by the location or the velocity he was all over that fast jacob Wilson up next for the A’s yeah that’s fouled off always exciting to see a laid-off home run in an inning kind of gets the offense fired up and you start to expect a big inning [Music] [Applause] fouled off left side the real threats are coming up already giving up a home run in this inning he’s going to really have to bear down [Applause] the short stop takes the ball rarely will you see a pitcher just wasted pitch like that the batter wasn’t even tempted to swing every pitch needs to have a purpose so that it can set up a following pitch to help you get that out [Applause] misses inside and it’s two and two [Applause] and that’s ruled a swing it’s a strike out betting third and now Brent Rooker brent Rooker [Applause] that one’s in there 0 and one check swing did he go no he didn’t one ball one strike and that’s off the inside edge two balls in a strike that’s a really good take right there slider down and in very difficult to get on the same plane and do anything with breaking ball through there for a strike looks like he’s just sizing him up there really good pitch to hit but he took it all the way sometimes guys just want to set their timing later on in the game that may be a pitch that he turns on that’s off the inside corner three and two now [Applause] fouled off and they’ll do it again one out base is empty [Applause] and there’s ball four ball four didn’t miss by much right there just couldn’t get the call off the inside corner austin wins up next for the A’s now snap throw to first rooker dives back in safely right through there for a strike man at first one away [Music] [Applause] just missed [Applause] the one-1 is fouled off the pitch swings and misses struck him out so two down now and here is Max Muny [Applause] and a first pitch fast ball is in for a strike [Applause] and that one pulled foul just off the outside part of the plate well I I think he’s trying to get a feel for where that one missed i mean it could have gone either way but he looked a little shocked for a second there [Applause] that misses the zone now two and two first inning and already up to 23 pitches out towards right center field Meyers settles under it and the inning is over the A’s strike first as the A’s are on top major League Baseball is on the show top of the second and here is Jake he’s already set a new career best for stolen bases in a season chris Springs back to work fouled off down the right side [Music] and he grounds one to the right side to first in time one out in the second 96 right fielder number 11 so digging in Cam Smith first pitch just misses one ball no strike out to short tosses to first and a couple of quick outs [Applause] batting seventh left fielder Cooper Hmel digging in is the switch in outfielder Cooper Hmel looking for his first big league hit right here in for a strike and that’s way high and the count is one and one two out space is empty and that one hit to first and foul ball [Applause] [Music] that misses the zone and the count’s even at two and a foul ball he stays alive hard on the ground to first he’ll do it himself and the Astros put down in order astros are down quietly still behind by a count of one to nothing we head to the bottom of the second now it’s rookie first base number 16 that one a little bit high ball one [Applause] ball no time to look at our umpiring crew in this one kenny Jansen behind the plate yeah and expect a little inconsistency on the corners he doesn’t make any wild calls but he does give and take there a little bit so he doesn’t have the easiest strike zone to figure out especially as the game goes on when you’re expecting it to become more consistent in today’s game not that many fast ball counts but hitters still in the back of their minds they’re looking for one two change up call right there excellent pitch selection to go with and down on strikes he goes that K is his third of the game batting seven here’s Luis Orizas luis Orias there’s the strike [Music] and that’s in there for a strike and quickly nothing at two i understand you want to try to gauge that guy’s fast ball but you also have to be aggressive and ready to hit in your zone now you’re in a tough spot here’s the O2 strike three and that’s two in a row wow that’s a tough call for the hitter but will take that all day long not quite in the strike zone but he found a spot that the umpire is going to at least for now allow him to get that call so hitters are going to have to make an adjustment but pitchers are going to learn from those things and really try to exploit them if they can two out space is empty this is JJ Blade and first offering is fouled off and that one upstairs ball one next offering is in for a strike on the ground to the left and foul ball hit in the air left field hummel he’s got it and that is out number three we played two innings it’s one to nothing and we’re back here’s Mauricio Dub second base Mauricio Duban and there’s a fly ball deep right field and it’s a one hopper off the wall should be extra bases and he’s into second with nobody out well a swing like that can help you come out of the struggle we saw the numbers coming into the ball game but all he’s trying to do at this point is help his team win runner in scoring position no outs here’s Luis Gior and that’s through there for a strike 4-1 tying run in scoring position we’re here in the top half of inning number three out of the ground to third fires across the diamond and one away in the top of the third jeremy P will hit next led this game off with a double but they weren’t able to drive him in and he swings and misses at the initial offering i think he was sitting off speed there [Applause] to the right side fires to first in time now batting catcher Yiner Diaz yiner Diaz now at the plate struck out looking his first time [Applause] and that one fouled off rudder at third two away well he knows they don’t want to give him anything to hit but when you’ve got opportunities to drive in runs you’ve got to expand the zone he’s capable of going out there and doing damage with it [Applause] that one missed [Applause] and now the count is full and another power hitter lurking in the on deck circle jose Altuve in the deck circle hoping to get a chance to make a big impact here [Applause] popped in the air left field drops into the glove and that’s the third out one left for Houston and it remains one- nothing and welcome back to the ballpark as we go to the last of the third leading off Denzel Clark and that is in for a strike and it’s 0 and one and that’s in there for a strike little slider that finds Lamar that misses the zone and the count one and two next offering misses down and away two balls two strikes right through there got him he picks up his fifth strike out on the hill frustrating end to the at bat for the hitter and I’m sure that’s going to sit on him for a little while you want to be ready to hit the fast ball sometimes you can overthink things and I think that was the case right there butler batting for the second time and that’s strike one no ball one strike three baby let’s go just missed one- one ground ball right side he steps on the bag two up two down he didn’t recognize change up earlier got out in front a little bit rolled over on it and beat it into the ground so up next Jacob Wilson struck out swinging his first time this guy makes great contact one of the best in the game and putting bat on ball he’s got such quick hands and he’s gaining pitch recognition that keeps him square to the plate there’s a good chance that his bat stays in the zone a long time and that produces solid contact consistently the short stop takes a ball hot shot to first base and he snags it to end the inning so they make short work of him there on to inning number four it’s the A’s one and the Astros nothing jose Altu digs in the designated hitter jose Altuve [Applause] swinging a foul out of play the one and that one fouled off swing and a ball lifted left field fed makes the play and there’s the one away just pulled off of it a little bit right there that front shoulder coming open instead of staying closed if he does that he’s going to be able to go up the middle the other way with some authority instead of a fly out to left and a foul ball [Applause] that one drilled left field fair ball now batting the center fielder run around at first with one gone jake Meyers up next for the Astros 0 for one so far first pitch doesn’t find the zone out to short base hit they get it in quickly so first and second now one out couple of singles back to back just one of those seen high base hits through the infield he just kind of rolled over on it a little bit but sometimes those can find a hole and get you a knock next to hit Cam Smith grounded out his first time up and that misses ball one the last thing he wants is to hit the ball on the ground but I wouldn’t expect many pitches up in the zone they’ll be pitching for a double play in this spot a’s leading by a run and fouled off [Applause] and a count one and two [Applause] gets a piece and stays alive [Applause] and a swing and a miss and now too long man it’s so difficult as a hitter to get on plane with that pitch it’s breaking down and in and you’ve got to find a way to match the plane and if it’s nasty like that one bite at the end most times you’re swinging over the top and walking back to the dugout and stepping in for the Astros Cooper Hmel and there’s one thing on his mind this at bat getting that first hit at the big league level fouled off he was late first and second two down top half of inning number four [Applause] in the air left field le and that’s the third out two left for the Astros they still trail one- nothing bottom of the fourth now it’s the right fielder Brent Rooker right fielder rooker goes 6 feet 3 in 225 lbs a former first round pick back in 2017 just off the inside edge you know these A’s doing a great job Boo of just waiting for the right pitch to come their way and I’m seeing very patient at bats out of him he’s only given up one run but the starter pitch count is starting to get up there and that might be the best news yet for this offense swinging a ground ball up the middle into the outfield base hit so a man on base to start the inning showed some really nice patience in that at bat worked himself into a good count once you get the ball by the pitcher there’s a lot of base hits up the middle even on ground balls so a nice job to use that big hole and get himself a hit austin wins up next for the A’s inside just missed you know sometimes all it takes is getting to the next arm before an offense does any damage and that might be the case today inside two and 0 looks more focused at the plate and working the count after that first at bat strikeout let’s go rooker gets his lead at first nobody out come on that one off the mark three and one oh they have had a hard time scoring in this one the pitcher out there on the mound wants to keep attacking make sure that they don’t get any confidence and a 3-1 on the way and that is out of play instead of letting the hitter get his arms extended tied him up a little bit slightly up slightly in let’s go maybe a two ball five four three and they turn the double play oh man what a smooth double play that was a thing of beauty from start to finish third baseman Maxy maxy up next for the A’s 0 for one with a fly out to center and the first pitch misses for ball one one ball no strike and delivers outside two down nobody on we’re here in the bottom of the fourth high-fly ball out to left field pummel settles under this one brings it in for the third out one hit in the inning but no one left we played four it’s the A’s one and the Astros nothing and we’re back counts the second base Mauricio Dubon springs back to work just missed well these Astros finding ways to get on base but they still need help driving them home they’ve had their chances with runners in scoring position but nobody’s been able to deliver a big hit in those situations turned on but foul wide of third and you got to give some credit to the other side as well they’ve been able to get out of a few tough jams but frustration is mounting for this offense no doubt foul ball there next offering is downstairs fights it off he’ll see another [Applause] [Music] That’s foul off to the right side keeps the AB going well he’s desperately looking for that swing and miss he’s going to have to just change speeds a little bit try to move it around create just a little bit of illusion at the end knocks that one away and we’ll do it again i wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball try to go again with a fast ball slightly elevated he just having a hard time catching up pitch misses and the count’s full now in this three ball count down in the ball game you got to be very selective take your walk if they’ll give it to you up the middle slings to first he didn’t make things easy for him there but they still get the out up next for the Astros third baseman Luis Gor luis Gormet up next for the Astros first time up he grounded to third and that’s in for a strike it’s 0 and one well he’s been incredibly efficient in this one first pitch strike percentage over 70% that’s well above league average and that’s what’s allowed him to pitch well up until this point [Music] field two got him looking that’s a strike out jeremy Pñena getting ready to hit one for two [Applause] in there and it’s 0 and one [Applause] on the ground and that’s just foul looking sharp just a strike away from five shut out innings fly ball down the line and it’s out of play a foul ball he needs to throw that breaking ball with just a little more conviction to get the swing and miss two down nobody on a short stop takes a ball breaking ball inside the countdown two and two the A’s leading by a run and we’re in the top of the fifth swinging a ground ball on the run throw to first and save he busted it down the line for that infield single two outs runner at first stepping in Yiner Diaz pole for two in this one pulls that one foul [Applause] the 01 and there’s a foul ball two outs got it he’s notched four strikeouts now so the Astros leave one they trail here one- nothing [Applause] and welcome back to the ballpark and now Nick Curts first baseman number 16 yeah the first offering a fast ball for a strike well he’s been incredibly efficient in this one first pitch strike percentage over 70% that’s well above league average swing and this one’s blasted it’s got a chance just missed it excellent job man i tell you what times that I played that field getting to play like that you love the opportunity to make it now at the plate Luis Urias went down on strikes his first time through clips the outside corner and that’s strike one that’s towards center meyers on the move squeezes it that’s out number two now batting left fielder two down base is empty jj Blade the next to hit fly to left his first time not even close there and it’s one and0 he swings and fouls one off the 1-1 hit hard but foul off to the left [Music] and they’ll do it again and that’s outside and the count is two and two and that’s too high full count and that one is inside and it’s ball four just missed his spot on the inside right there now that is center first next up for the A’s Denzel Clark you talk about elite defensive players especially in the middle of the diamond and this guy is at the top of the list yeah we go beyond just the you know fielding percentage and you know what it looks like but the ability to have a range and you know close holes that you know are normally there against an average defender but this guy is special lays out but he can’t squeeze it to first and he beats it everyone’s safe now batting so the lineup flips over lawrence Butler up next for the A’s he’s already homerred in this game fast for a strike and the one thing about that is speed never goes into slump and defense shouldn’t either hittingwise you can struggle you can lose your mechanics but the thing that you can do consistently every single game is play great defense if you’re talented in that way and this is what this guy does [Applause] two outs couple of base runners at first and second swing and a miss and that is that so it’s no runs on a hit no errors and two are left five innings complete it’s the A’s one and the Astros nothing top of the sixth inning here’s the former MVP Jose Altuve [Applause] fly ball center field clark makes the grab and there’s one down up next for the Astros first base Vic Carini at the plate [Applause] just definitely a frustrating day for the offense but when they look at it this guy’s had his best stuff painting the corners working on the edges and changing speeds just a difficult one you tip your cap and that’s downstairs and now two and 0 the Athletics have some bullpen action grant Homeman getting ready to go mcfarland also getting ready one down base is empty on the ground to third Muny over to first and he’s out up next for the Astros centerfielder Jake Meyers and stepping in is the speedy Jake Meyers he’s one of those Dave Mccardi Mark Carry on Ricky Henderson types throw left bat right you make a note of those guys cuz it’s just different it’s like man you’re left-handed but you hit right-handed misses off the inside and that’s ball two ball three he hasn’t fallen behind in the count like this all day he’s in danger of walking his first batter right here two down nobody on and we’re the top half of the sixth and that’s ball four tried another slider but it missed the plate it feels to me like his time on the mound is running short starting to show some signs of fatigue so we’ll see how much longer they let him go so a man aboard the batter now Cam Smith and that one just misses a ball and no strikes well in this situation the hitter knows that he’s got to find a pitch that he can drive in order to drive in that tying run all the way from first base so if he can’t do that keep the line moving through a walk or just a base hit but you got to stay within yourself check swing called strike and it really looks like these hitters have been in between with their timing today good fast ball excellent slider but they’ve not been able to commit to one velocity and stay there meyers the runner at first with two gone yeah the two-1 hammered but fouled [Music] two outs breaking ball in there got him looking now five strikeouts for him on the mound so another good inning for him on the mound six shutout innings now it’s the A’s one and the Astros nothing back now for the bottom of the sixth and there’s a new pitcher on the mound Hunter Brown he’s certainly been one of their better relief pitchers this season the numbers are really solid so they feel great about handing the ball over to him well one-run game digging in jacob Wilson short stop jacob Wilson ball one and a pitch inside activity in the bullpen for Houston caleb Ort up and throwing king getting loose as well swing and a miss as he chases that one darting out of the zone one strike [Applause] now this is in the air down the line lays out and makes the play hitter’s got a broken heart on that one it had base hit written all over it maybe extra bases great diving catch for the upset next up for the A’s Brent Rooker a walk and he’s also singled there’s a strike base is empty one away here in the bottom of the sixth drilled in the air high and deep right field that one back there oh and he whips on it had to go a pretty long way for that one towards the foul line so that was no gimme by any means but it is a play that needs to be made might have been a little concerned with where he was on the field or something but whatever it was I know he’d like another shot at it one two in the air left side hmel sizing this one up hauls it in for the out good pitch he just kind of had him out in front on that pitch away and wasn’t able to stay close now here is Austin wins first pitch and he just misses 10 and that gets the top of the zone for a strike that’s off the mark and it’s two and one just missed [Music] and that one fouled off let’s go to baby let’s go two down nobody on swing and a miss struck him out and good work there as he gets a one two three nothing doing there for the A’s but they lead it one to nothing now pitching welcome back we’re in the seventh we have a new pitcher on the mound Grant Holman he doesn’t get a lot of strikeouts compared to other relievers so he relies on getting that soft contact and the defense doing work behind him they’ll have to be on their toes with him on the bump well game the switch hitting out Cooper Hmel [Applause] and that’s in for a strike chopped left side tosses to first and they get the lead off hitter in the seventh those plays can be tricky they’re routine but that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be smooth he delivered a good play right there here’s the second base Mauricio Dubon [Applause] that misses and that is ball one pullman in his rookie season he features a fourseam fast ball a change up and he works in a slider to third whips it across out on a bang bang play but he made it close well a tremendous stop there but it looked like he had a little trouble getting off the throw as quickly as he would have liked had to get something on it to beat the runner so next up for Houston Luis Gormet first pitch misses looking to get the tying run on base a little bit low down 2 and 0 duo that clips the corner back-to-back fast balls in that last one called for a strike probably go away but look for him to come back in there to try to finish you off next offering is in for a strike trying to hold a one-run lead here in the top half of inning number seven he’s mixing his pitches really well late on that fast ball after seeing the change up see if he can elevate one i think if he does he’ll get the swing and miss that one ripped makes the catch and over nothing doing there for Houston they’re down one- nothing [Applause] and we’re back here’s the third baseman Maxy on the ground right side and foul ball comes up empty that’s strike two he was really trying to stay back for something off speed that’s why he was so tardy on that swing and a good eye there really good take especially with two strikes swings and misses chase the fast up the ladder for strike three nick Curts next and first offering is fouled off just missed one-1 swing and a miss as he was out front good late sink on that fast ball out of the hand looks so good and then by the time he gets in the hitting zone hard to get the barrel to it the throw to first two up two down now batting second baseman Luis Urias two outs base is empty and now Luis Urias delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95 that one fouled off man this has been a real important inning in relief i mean so far they’ve been doing a great job holding that deficit at one and it skips in the dirt [Applause] squang a highf fly ball well struck that’s bat tattooed and gone he sends it out of here it’s his eighth home run of the year it’s two nothing this crowd is on fire right now they’re going nuts thanks to that home run that’s exactly the pitch he was looking for crushes it and hits it out of the ballpark jj Blade up next for the A’s that one not close and that’s ball one [Applause] [Applause] that’s down and in brown maybe a little less aggressive on the mound right now after that home run Chris yeah it seems that way you know guys they can come out feel good but then all of a sudden get touched up a little bit and they start trying to throw instead of pitch they’re not trusting their stuff and he walked him on four pitches oh you know this guy wants to swing it but he’s showing some good patience in this one it’s the second time he’s taken off so digging in Denzel Clark well he’s been good for the most part is it going to take someone going out to the mound to maybe refocus him a bit no partner every pitcher is a little different i I liken it to you sometimes you come in and you’re not as focused and I kind of do what it takes to get you on track and then you have a great show uh so perhaps it’s the same with him nobody really wants their rhythm broken out but sometimes they need a little pickme up to the right side tosses to first that ends the frame a solo homer adds to the A’s lead and it’s two zip it’s Major League Baseball on the show all set for the start of the inning here’s the Astros leadoff man jeremy PA shortstop Jeremy Pñena homeman back to work pitching has been pretty dominant in this one but you got to be careful not working with too big a lead they could get right back in this ball game if you’re not careful sharp grounder that’s through for a base hit and that’ll bring the tying run to the plate just so sound in his mechanics against a firm front side and the hands just continue to carry through the middle of the field yiner Diaz up next for the Astros 0 for three with two strikeouts and a fly out first pitch doesn’t find the zone [Music] tying run at the plate inside and another ball this is a really good feeling for a hitter at this point in the ball game you know that they don’t want to walk you so you’re going to get a pitch to hit you just better not miss it [Applause] and the tying run is on base pretty much the last thing you want from your bullpin arms are free passes especially in spots like this make the team burn their way off jose Alt steps up in a big spot here 0 for three with two fly outs and a ground out [Applause] that one down the line a sliding stop there’s one a sensational double play they made that double play look so easy but it was far from routine that’s the one thing about big leverage they make tough plays look simple manager out of the dugout now and he will make a move to dip into the A’s bullpen grant Holman will depart two-run ball game as he heads for the dugout and we’ll be back with a new pitcher [Applause] now pitching until they bring on their closer in the eighth Bob Chavez on for his major league debut so we’ll see if he’s ready for the big stage he just has to remember this is the same game that he’s played all the way through the minor leagues to this point the only difference there just more people in the stands and it’s a bigger stadium but the game itself is still the same look at the catcher whatever fingers he puts down that’s what you throw and just let him lead you in this one keratini the next to hit takes low for a ball the tying run at the plate and it’s fouled off tapped at the plate but it’s a foul ball outside with the tying run at the plate and we’re in the top of the eighth spoils that one and it remains two and two [Applause] waves the defender to the strike out a lot of adrenaline we can see it right there and sometimes you just got to let it out that’s an outstanding job of taking that executing and getting out of a tough inning now pitching for back now new pitcher on the mound as we roll into the bottom of the eighth Caleb well walks have been a big issue for him this year so I expect these hitters to be patient up there so now here’s the DH lawrence Butler he’s already homered here in this one first offering and it just misses that one ripped right center field ranging back and brings it in at the wall now batting shortstop Jacob Wilson so up next Jacob Wilson 0 for three in this one the MMO for him is contact the guy who’s going to deliver average not a ton of power he’s looking to hit a line drive somewhere well that’s why it’s a team and when you look at a lineup he’s a great two-hole hitter or a guy that you could put at the bottom to help turn that lineup over to have some momentum for your top hitters coming up to the plate can’t get to it as it drops into the corner the throat to second is offline oh no waiting around right there he was ready to swing it on the first pitch he got a pitch he could get to out front kept his bat through the ball and didn’t pull off or roll his hands over and that allowed him to rip that ball down the line for the double [Applause] one out runner at second rooker now at the plate gets the outside corner with that one hitter’s got some good opposite field power what I like about something being hit to the right side into the outfield is that the base runner at second has a very good read and can determine whether or not he can score on that base hit next offering popped in the air right field brings it in and there’s two down now batting catcher Austin wins austin wins getting ready to hit let’s go to golf baby let’s go and a popup right side foul territory and makes the grab and that will end the inning no runs one hit a double no errors and one man left through eight full it’s the A’s two and the Astros nothing we go to the Nielder Jake Myers [Applause] a swing and a miss and that’s strike one [Applause] ripped on the ground to second to first in time and they get the lead off man in the ninth couple of pitches and a quick out he’s two outs away and now the right fielder Cam Smith 0 for three with two strikeouts and a ground out [Applause] there’s the strike [Music] [Applause] out to center clark snags it for the second out now batting left fielder Cooper astros down to their last out here’s the left fielder Cooper Hmel [Applause] foul ball [Applause] here comes the one yeah big swing and a miss threw that fast right by him slightly elevated that’s a confidence boost for this guy out there on the mound see if he continues to climb the ladder the Stros down to their final strike that misses going to count one and two [Applause] and that’s in the D popped up on the left side of the infield muny under this one and that’ll do it the A’s claim the win here behind some great pitching and defense the ball for his first career save deserves to be on display at his house i mean it’s kind of like when a restaurant frames its first dollar bill somewhere in a wall you just can’t forget your first save two nothing your final here in this one the A’s are victorious for Chris Singleton and our entire crew here at MLB the show thanks for stopping by i’m John Shami talk to you soon move the move
