barn burner out there in New York a one- nothing Angels victory in the 11th which was just weird right to see them actually score in the get the extra inning win and not the Yankees with that bullpin now we get Kyle Hendricks who just inexplicably keeps starting and for whatever reason isn’t giving up a 100 runs a game got Will Warren i like Will Warren but it’s real like kind of inconsistent and shaky with him and the pitch counts are volatile you don’t know if they’re going to throw him 70 pitches or 100 pitches but you can’t back Kyle Hendris what are we doing here angels Yankees beat up yeah I I think that this is a card for me that you you don’t overthink it uh you you talked about Hendrickx just from an eye standpoint about how bad he looks i’ve got the game priced at minus 300 it’s in the market at minus 260 i think it’s a good opportunity to use first leg of the base winner parlay uh Hendrickx is a little bit perplexing uh you look at his strikeout percentage it’s in the third percentile stuff plus is in the 1 percentile so that’s bad but one thing that’s been good about him is his location plus number uh 96th percentile it’s not translating really to his BBK at 33 but I think that uh uh Warren his numbers to me are are really good but let’s take out the the sometimes we spend too much time as handicappers talking about uh and and the the the starting pitchers and and I think that it’s important obviously the starting pitcher but you look at the other components to this game and you look at the offense you know the the Angels offense versus right-handed pitching 25th in baseball Yankees fifth in baseball and here’s a really big gap uh the bullpin uh the Angels 27th in baseball uh Yankees second in baseball so we have all those component ratings going for us we got the starting pitching going for us i I I like the way I the model priced it out it’s going to be the first leg of the base winner parlay for me Kyle yeah I I think it makes a ton of sense corby what do you think on this one any thoughts i mean Kyle Hendrickx is one of these guys it’s starting to piss me off a little bit i’m not going to lie it’s frustrating me the Kyle Hendricks stuff i need the Yankees to come out here and just put him to bed just beat the crap out of him and let’s cut cut the nonsense what do you think in this one yeah Kyle Hendricks is one of those ones that just get me going on a on a Sunday morning you can get me mad with Kyle Hendricks but uh he’s not good will Warren I think that Will Warren is awesome um there’s been times where he shows that he’s not of course I could be eating my words on this but it’s one of those things you have to have like a it’s not even a hot take but like you have to be you got to be in your roots with your opinion and if he does bad that just makes you feel better about future prices for your opinion i like Will Warren i’m going to continue betting him i bet his um uh rookie of the year I believe i don’t know some some market that’s going to lose and I still think that he’s he’s a good pitcher so we’ll continue doing that looking for a way to bet the Yankees um I’m going to take the live button yesterday right something like that he ended up pitching decent but like if if Santon would have walked or gotten a base he probably would have been pulled because he was like 89 there’s a guy in first and second like it would have put him in a pretty tough situation when I tell you this was not a robo situation josé Seriano threw three balls in the other batter’s box in the dirt and Stanton swung like confident swing like I’m not talking he wasn’t like “Oh you got me.” I’m talking he’s like “Man I almost had it.” And it is unbelievably far out of the zone i can’t believe this guy’s back i can’t believe that there’s people that like Juan Carlos Stanton his his swing cracks me up now the Yankees officially have the two funniest swings in baseball juan Carlos Stanton who quite literally just waits for the ball and then swings with the fastest barrel rate in the history of I mean that man can swing a bat faster than anybody I’ve ever seen juan Carlo or John Carlo i like the Juan Carlo it sounds hot and sexier i’m going keep saying it my way but sexier pronunciation is supposed to be Zan Carlo according to Carlo you know you remember the the home run call and I miss I miss John Sterling home run calls jean Carlo no pora parlo it was a great Okay sorry Corby i I I got off track there but just the way you were saying it was very very sensual yeah I’m going to keep saying like that cuz he’s a he’s a good looking dude does he does arm day does not skip arm day certainly but now they officially have the two worst swings I’ve in baseball the the Stanton I’ll just call his last name weight and swing and then the second one is um Cody Bellinger listen Cody Bellinger is has a great batting average he looks good he continues to produce his swing st if I have an under strikeouts his swing stresses me out more than anybody I’ve ever seen it’s like an It’s like an uppercut like every foul ball is like basically he doesn’t even think that there’s a chance for it to be a hit it it it is amazing and yet he still does well so maybe the torpedo bats help there i’m going to take the Yankees double result by the way uh Gabriella Jones says the Yankees have looked really bad a four-game losing streak is there anything does that in baseball to me that just doesn’t matter as much you know if this was like in the NFL and a team like lost but in baseball you have these swings but it always regresses to the mean generally right Corby yeah i I really don’t care about like um to be completely honest with you I could not tell you a single team’s record in baseball it’s it’s like something that I don’t look at at all so I I don’t care if they lost one game 10 games five games those kind of things are priced into the market if you think that they’re important at all that’s like a really easy thing for an oddsmaker to be oh they stink um and so I’m not looking at win loss yeah uh I got to push back here our guy Jack Faulk who I love he says I know no one cares but Gage Wood the pitcher for Arkansas 19 strikeout uh no hitter in the College World Series was a highlight of the baseball world he says “Otani sucked and everyone was drooling over him.” I don’t know what the hell you were watching otani did not suck he was hitting a 100 on the gun little bit of control issues glove side but the movement was there then he went out and drove in won a couple of runs like if that sucks give me that let me suck every single day if what Otamei did yesterday sucks I would love to suck every single day of my life because I thought who else in baseball is going out throwing 100 miles an hour for an inning and then and then going two for four and driving in runs and winning a baseball game am I clip that we’re going to have to clip that part if I’m getting caught calling Gizzy Gobbler we’re going to have to clip that up for sure what did he just say i didn’t think about that that I would suck every day that I would suck i get Yeah yeah i see i wasn’t thinking before I uh you know it happens sometimes so there’s a couple things here i’ll try to be quick first of all he was really good i thought I thought watching him the the velocity was there the pitch movement was there the location wasn’t so he and that that usually that usually comes around i mean that’s a lot different fa facing live batters in a in a oh gosh electric Dodger Stadium it really was it was fun to watch but that’s the the So he was good so I agree with you on that the second thing is it’s like you’re you win this I should have hit this over one and a half bet no you shouldn’t have i mean I
