welcome back to Raw Sports Talk i’m Chris your favorite stat reader and we have the Panthers hosting the Oilers game six of the Stanley Cup finals and the Oilers are plus 126 on the money line the Panthers are minus 149 the overunder is at 6 and a half goals the Oilers getting a goal and a half on the puck line are minus 179 meaning if you bet them that way and they win this game outright you win they lose by one you win and the Panthers laying a goal and a half on the puck line are plus 152 meaning if you bet them that way they got to win by two goals or more now these are the overnight odds they’re going to change the closer we get to puck drop tomorrow head-to-head the Panthers are 6 and4 against the Oilers in their last 10 the royal the road teams won the last two games they played against each other the home team is 5-5 the underdog has won the last two games that they’ve played against each other the favorite is 5-5 on the money line while the underdog getting a goal and a half on the puck line is 8-2 there have been six one-goal games in their last 10 meetings the over has hit in their last seven games against each other the over is 9 and one and it’s six and a half goals the over is also 9-1 and the games they’ve played against each other in the playoffs the Oilers took game one four-3 in overtime due to a power play goal otherwise this series probably would be over already then the Panthers took the next two 5 to four in overtime in Edmonton then six to1 at home then the Oilers won 5 to4 in overtime in Florida and then the Oil the Panthers opened up a can of bass on the Oilers in game number five and won 5-2 i’ve said this all season for the Oilers i continue to say this in every video that I do for them four goals is the magic number for them they need to seemingly score four goals or more when they do that they’re in good shape and they win when they don’t do that they don’t win it’s just how they’ve been the past couple seasons uh defense and goalending have not been their strong suit to to put it that way which is funny because at one point during this season and last season when they were making a push for the playoffs suddenly they figured out how to win games that were lower scoring especially with McDavid and Dryidle out of a lineup and with both of them back in it just seems like these they they don’t play defense and they have no solid goalending uh in their last three meetings against each other the Panthers are two- one the over is 3-0 the Panthers are averaging five goals a game to the Oilers averaging three goals per game uh both of these teams are averaging 30 shots per game the Panthers have five power play goals over their last three games to the Oilers two power play goals the Panthers have had 17 power plays to the Oilers 13 the Panthers have scored on 29% of their power plays the Oilers have scored on 15% the Panthers are killing off 85% of the Oilers penalties and or power plays and the Oilers are killing off 71% of the Panthers power plays i said this earlier in the the series when it started that I thought this series would go six or seven games i kind of thought the flipped the script would be flipped where the Panthers would end up winning at home uh and hoisting the cup for the second straight year and this time they’re doing it again the Oilers um but I do think that they end it and it’s so long farewell Avita and goodbye for the Oilers i’m going to take the Panthers on the money line the question that I have is will this be a onegoal game and statistically speaking from how they’ve been playing each other the answer will probably be yes and this will probably be an overtime game although that’s what you’d want as a fan you want a competitive game but for me I don’t want the Canadian team to hoist the cup so I don’t want this to even get close enough where they have the opportunity to do so um I’m going to take the Panthers on the money line i will take the Oilers getting the goals and I’m going to go over because I do think that something fluky or tickytac is going to cause this game to be tied when it shouldn’t be um now these are just my picks if you disagree please go with your gut
