at two Terry at two i I thought we were immune from caressing the like button in a certain way but this is this is wild behavior y’all got TO hey hey man this is all new to me too so I’m just trying i I’m just do I just do what I’m told rod is disappointed in this flannel hey nothing worse than being disappointed they know how to satisfy the like button down in Atlanta i mean what they know how to satisfy the like button down in Atlanta um okay yeah i I can’t do them lemon pepper wigs oh man I was trying to get us some water in goodness gracious y’all almost got me what up Rod speaking speaking of Pistons do we speak about the Pistons rod thoughts we Hey on Wednesdays when we’re Terry said do we speak about the Pistons rod take it away rod thoughts hey at least I got at least Rod missed the ball story early today oh yeah oh um hopefully that’s LaMelo Ball and not something different but okay it is not LaMelo Ball i’m sorry it is not LaMelo Ball it couldn’t it It just couldn’t be um people talked about the the OKC Thunder years ago like they were a a lost franchise and you make one trade and you get SGA and things change and it it shows that this league is built around stars and future superstars and I know people the the few people who were talking about trade Cade and get as much draft capital as you can or even now trade Jaden Ivy uh and do that just be patient stuff comes around but it’s also that’s the blueprint for building a championship caliber franchise is get those draft picks you’re going to be bad for a while uh but you can turn that around if you make the right draft picks you get enough draft capital and you have a GM who really understands what you’re doing and the Pistons had that you’re going they’re going through iterations of of trying to get that right now but it is exactly what you want a championship rebuild to look like is what the Thunder are doing right now man you talk about two teams who I thought were built to be at where they are right now in the Pacers and the Thunder uh and you’re exactly right the Thunder have been the model of this uh for some time and that’s what made a lot of people very very eager and excited about the Troy Weaver experience which did net us a nice group of young players but now with Trean Landon we have a GM and a front office team because I don’t want to disrespect the other people that are there because he has a dog squad uh up there in that front office uh with Blackstone especially uh understanding this cap uh it’s what made it the shooter move come to fruition in a way that was basically for free for the Pistons uh so I do believe that now they are primed and in a position to move this thing we’ve already seen it one year they’ve aggressively moved forward they’ve done something no other team in the history of NBA has done gone from 14 wins to the playoffs and they were a formidable out they didn’t just kind of get there and say “Hey let’s have a cute season we we did something no one expected us to do.” They wanted more and and that to me is why I do believe you know this is a team that is positioned in the Eastern Conference and it’s going to be a lot of our talk today it’s about how fast do they push that pedal on accelerating this rebuild especially when you look at the fact that the Pacers they went and they got Seakum look what they did for their team and for Tyrese Hallebertton it allows him to have his usage rate lower uh you look at what the Raptors are doing right now they went out and they got Brandon Ingram for Scotty Barnes they’re talking about going and getting another you look at the Magic right now and this is a move that both Flannel and I I didn’t know how he was going to feel about it because everybody was talking about what the Magic sent out but this is a move that both of us actually said basketball-wise this makes a lot of sense for the Magic and we were talking about these all dysfunction teams the Magic was the one team that we said you know what depending on what they do this offseason they can actually solidify themselves and so I was wondering how much more pressure does that put on the Pistons to actually try to accelerate things this off season i think you have time and again there’s there’s nobody in the East that should be scaring you next year so you can go for it but you got to play the long game in this and you got to say how how do we do this for three or four years and make this a sustainable run are the Knicks going to be able to keep this together indiana seems to be a little bit solid but the same thing is this smoking mirrors with them to some degree and again I will say I was completely wrong about the Pacers i thought the P the Pistons would have given the Patriots a good run but the way they had been playing throughout this postseason there’s doubtful there to this right but the Celtics without Jason Tatum next season there are opportunities for them to move ahead and and really take a step up here so I’m not a a throw everything in and go for it but I I mentioned the Thunder the way the Pacers have built this also is uh a good note to make is that you you make the seakum trade you you go and you get the guys that you think are really going to make your roster so as a front office you can’t be afraid to do something that’s going to shake things up if you know that you’re right and both of these teams have done things where it’s panned out for them and it’s worked really well absolutely and uh Rod Beard how did you feel watching Tyrese Hallebertton have zero field goals in a final game you just had to bring up Hallebertton had to this is Flannel’s vendetta flannel vers has been a vibe hey the the clock strikes midnight on a lot of people and he’s not the Is he playing above his level absolutely he can’t be that every game of this playoffs and and that’s what he’s been there was going to be some regression to the mean yes he’s injured no he’s he’s not playing at 100% but yeah he wasn’t gonna have another 30 plus point game like he had been having and and triple doubles in the the finals yeah that’s that’s not quite who he is but yeah that’s I I I didn’t feel a certain way but it’s sort of Yeah okay yeah this it was bound to happen at some point it was bound to happen you know what it’s time to get into the Swisser Swiss or break but I I do have some other points yeah swiss or break swish or break whatever your flavor but I got some other things that I want to just pop up here first uh before we get into that Nicks Muse shout out to Nicks Muse they were uh engaging with us during the playoff series uh one of the bigger accounts on within Nick’s social media and after this I think that they said something that Flannel Stan will like they believe the two best point guards in the Eastern Conference are Do you have that one yep k cunningham and Jaylen Brunson and obviously right now we got to nod and tip that cap 2-1 Jaylen Bronson but I just thought that you would like that i want to be able to make sure that I called that out shout out to Nick’s Muse as well about you guys feel after the playoffs and everything has gotten to this point i do i feel like this is a situation where Cade is top two in the East with a great opportunity to be considered the top point guard uh after next season i love this and throw Donovan Mitchell in there above Tyrese Hallebertton as well yeah as much as I’m kind of in on Donovan Mitchell I 100% agree with you any way that we can make sure that Halle Burton is further down that list I agree i don’t even care what it is you can say Brandon Brandon Pimsky okay no okay okay okay i’m sorry i’m sorry look at I’m sorry look we we got we got another one from Jake Weinbach as well as we’re setting up our switcher break because we got some good questions you got that one from Jake Weinbach yep and there are some other people who believe this could be a potential he says “I would label the Pistons as one of the buyers on the marketplace that could make a serious run at Trey Murphy the third this season this offseason detroit is ready to take the next step in the East and have the necessary assets to build an enticing offer for the New Orleans coveted wing and I know that’s a player that even before he signed that 25 mil 100 you know mill contract 25 a year over four years fans wanted uh the Pistons to be able to pursue him got Tan Langden here uh and just one more thing before we get into this i saw this uh from Pistons Talk it is Jake Fischer and his podcast and it’s what we talked about last year as it relates to Alama and it’s interesting now to see how about a week or two later we’re starting to see national media and some other people who cover basketball start to say the same thing if we got that video we’ll play that real quick and then we’ll jump into our questions yep we’re hearing that Detroit one particular archetype of player that they’re evaluating are 7 foot stretch big men so in addition to Miles Turner we are on the lookout for the Pistons to try to be a player for Nas Reed and we’re definitely looking at Santiama as a potential target as well he’s a restricted free agent so the Pistons could in theory put an offer sheet on the table that would make life a little bit tricky and annoying for the Memphis Grizzlies by comparison to Miles Turner’s unrestricted situation and the fact that Nas Reed is a player option that he has a lot of control over which gives him some wiggle room to have negotiations with Minnesota before he actually would become theoretically available as well so of all those guys I would handicap it right now that Santi Alama seems to be the most likely player that fits that seven foot floor spacing sweet shooting big man archetype that Detroit has seemingly been linked to all across the board here they might be seeing an opportunity to put some pressure on Memphis and maybe there’s an opportunity for them to work with the Grizzlies and figure out a sign trade scenario that makes sense for both sides shout out to Jake Fischer shout out to Bleacher Report as well you guys might know I uh have done and will be actually this upcoming season doing some correspondence again with Bleacher Report and their hoops uh alongside one Jeff Freddy so be on the lookout for that but shout out to Jake Fischer uh and and these comments to me they’re like music to my ears last week I said Rob Beard I think I’m becoming an Alama stand the Pistons I believe they actually have the ability to press the the gas pedal on this one something that I think can help the team a lot but won’t cost them a lot we didn’t get your thoughts on it i want to get yours on that and what Jake Fish was talking about and then we’ll have JB Smooth throw the graphic up and get into these questions santi not a dama a fan uh I the names that we’ve mentioned I’m much more partial to even Miles Turner and his Lego plan so um Nas Nas Reed go get him if you can get him get him but again there’s going to be a lot of uh competition in that bidding but I I like uh Bobby Poris as as my my main option there because he checks more of the boxes that uh you kind of want to do and he’ll be affordable and the the bidding won’t be quite as high I don’t think not quite as high but Poris’s numbers they are creeping up but they said that he’s going to land at first I was hearing 10 to 15 I’m hearing he might land overall value of a contract about 20 million behind the Nazarene overall annual so I heard he’s getting up to where he might be maybe 5 to 10 million a year behind 5 to seven million a year cheaper than uh the nons which I do believe is significant but you know what fellas can you stand hat and hope everybody improves we I I say no that’s question number one hold hold hold that thought yeah okay you know what throw the throw the graphic up jb Smooth throw the graphic up let’s get into know it is Swiss or break swiss or break hey and I got some important questions here and I also have some offseason outlook from some of the chat family too so we’ll go through these questions and if we got some time we’ll get to the uh chat initiated one and I actually pulled one from that with Tourette’s from the chat today that I sent over to uh JB Smooth but oh I got it we’ll start hold those for now we’ll start here it’s more important for Treasure Langon to strike this free agency than waiting till next they have a lot of flexibility over the next two off seasons uh we already know that Tobias and now could be considered an expiring contract this year but next year his contract is completely off the books we talk about how fast do you push this pedal i’m going to start with you one Mr fal because there are people out there who believe that the Pistons are going to be very aggressive or at least have theap capability to it’s more important for next year i’ll go more important to strike this year rather than wait next year ah I would like them to strike this year but I’ll go brick just because you might get a little bit more clarity on what you have got you jb Smooth what up though it’s a brick for me i I would like them to to strike this year but I honestly don’t think that’s going to happen i think you’re going to go through a period where you’re going to try to analyze and see what you have right now and then move forward that next season so prepare for another season where no moves are going to get made kavasier is it more important for him to strike this off seasonason or next off seasonason i’ll say next i don’t think you have to be reactive to what the Magic just did and force any force a move i mean unless you go get like I really like Jiren Jackson Jr if he becomes available um then I think that you know go ahead for that move versus I mean something like that but other than that don’t don’t just go and grab you would be a two-way stretching big that you that would be a dream yeah what about you T Foss that is up to the people what are Piston fans willing to tolerate uh if they if they’re going to say “Okay we’re good with it we’re going to be patient.” Then yeah you can wait until next year but if the goal is to be a championship contender you better strike now what say ye Rod Beard in the chat terrell Lamar says “Break.” Dante 151 says “Swish.” Randall Small says “Swish.” Dad with Tourettz says you you must give Kade Ivy a sar enduring one full season together man but the context is that the East is wide open right now and the Pistons vaulted into the top four in my opinion in the East just based off all the dysfunction and their trend what say you Ro Beard Swiss or brick they got to strike this off seasonason or next i’m going to say brick you can wait but for the people who will say swish on this you want them to strike you want them to get something but to get something in the market that this summer is going to be you’re going to have to give up an Ivy and Assar or somebody that is critical to what you think your core is right now so don’t be surprised when you when you get sticker shock and you say “Hey we want to go get uh this guy but you got to give up Ivy in order to make it happen.” Oh but Ivy’s such an important part of this roster you can’t have it both ways you can’t go get um one of these top free agents and not give up something in order for it to happen so buyer beware on this you understand you’re going to get something but you got to give up something in order and let me let me just to add some context to that when we talk about Trey Murphy being available there is a site out there that you know they go through what realistic offers would look like and they were saying even for a guy like Trey Murphy the Houston Rockets would have to give up Dylan Brooks Tari East and Reed Shepard 10th overall pick four future first round pick swaps and one pick swap just for Trey Murphy just I mean he’s good look at Desmond look at Desmond Bane setting the market that is that’s KCP Cole Anthony for first that’s the market so if you want to go play in this market hey knock yourself out but it is it is not shopping at at Kingsway you are shopping at Macy’s no doubt listen and I’m seeing some people in the chat who do feel Ryan Glinsky the East is wide open you got to strike and I saw one that said you got to strike after what the Magic just did the Pistons will be worse than them that’s interesting because question number two if the Pistons don’t make a significant move they will finish behind the Pacers Magic Knicks and Bucks if they get Giannis back guaranteed next season what say you Flannel Sam Brick i think that the Pistons are going to at least finish ahead of the Bucks because Dame Lillard is going to be out for the season they’re probably going to lose Poris but I could see the other three for sure i could see them being like fourth fifth what’s say JB Smooth uh I agree with Fran Flannel on this one this is a brick and Orlando better hope that this trade helps them out so much otherwise you we’re all going to be laughing at you i’m going to be the first one laughing at them right now i’ll tell you that what up Don Kavasier Chase what was the question again yeah if the Pistons don’t make a significant move they will finish behind the Bucks if they get Giannis back pacers Magic and the Knicks guaranteed this season i’ll say Brick i mean you know you who knows what type of leap Kate can make individually and then you know if Ivy healthy for a full year you don’t know what how much Assar and Ron Holland will develop over the year and then you know maybe Duran steps up a lot too so I mean I don’t know there’s that’s a lot of ifs and what you know ifs ands and buts but you know they’re still a young team so a lot can happen yeah definitely what say false if they don’t make that move this year they’re going to finish behind the Bucks the Pacers uh and the Knicks guaranteed maybe not and the Magic maybe not the Bucks the Magic maybe because they’ve made some moves um to me the Pistons are now a 4-8 team so are we satisfied with that is that good enough for them four to eight four to eight i need them be a guaranteed four to six right now if it’s four to eight I’m not satisfied four to six you’re good with it though i want them to be It don’t get you anything else i want them to be a top 14 team next year you know and Tom Goris and God bless him he was like “Oh we uh we can win a playoff series next year.” So that’s low expectations the Pistons should put themselves in position with this division to be NBA Finals contenders feels like the East is right there man for the Tech right there i see you Rod i see Rob contender dude i’m gonna I’m gonna say brick and I’m gonna give people some context on this before this season and I do this every year hey are they going to make the play in well I got to tell you five teams that they have to be better than now we’re talking about them being in the top five potentially in the East have some context and understand that that’s the growth that you’re going to make and if you want to do this warp speed jump into the um top three or four in the east conversation then yes you if if that’s your goal then you need to make some moves with this roster i don’t think just the return of Ivy by itself is going to do that you need to same thing that we were talking about with the Tigers you need to to kind of prune around it and um make some little fine-tuning pieces to make this thing work but yeah I if they’re in the top four I’m good with that are they going to be better than Milwaukee yeah I think so just the growth and the experience of going through the playoffs and being a little bit better this past season will help them get over the hump in some of these uh cases and they’re not starting 0 and4 and or or they’ll have a much better start to the season yep and here uh via Evans Cittery another top shooter generating tons of trade interest ahead of the 2025 NBA draft is Cam Johnson and there was a team that came up in the names came up amongst the interested i see you already Rob but I got to ask you guys Cam Johnson and not Santi Dama and some of the other floor spacing front court players uh the Pistons are linked to they should target Cam Johnson instead of those others since there are rumors that the Brooklyn Nets are going to make him available what say ye Flannel Sam i wonder if Pistons fans have finally cooled on their wet drink i mean I’ve He’s a fine player i like his size i like the fact that he can shoot threes the biggest problem with him is that he’s just never can stay on the court probably would would cost too much definitely not one of my first choices definitely not jb Smooth what was the question again sir cam Johnson should be the one not Santi Dama and some of the other uh restricted free agent trade targets or options we think would be cheaper than the the the star players cam Johnson is the one that we should be targeting with the word on the street now that Brooklyn is going to make him available i mean Brooklyn will probably make them available but is it a need that we need right now so especially with the price as well too i think I’m going to pass on this one give me a break like I feel like there are other options yeah I see Dante 151 brick dnc Camp Cam Johnson will cost more than Santi that’s I don’t know necessarily santi’s money is supposed to get up there and if you’re going to steal him away from the Grizzlies you’re going to probably push that above the 13 14 15 a year that the Grizzlies can afford for Santi Odama but Kavasia Chase was say I’m wondering if Pistons fans have finally cooled on Cam Johnson reports are Pistons might be one of those teams interested if the Nets make him available i’m gonna say brick i don’t I I’d rather the team try to sign a free agent and then if they are going to make a trade um because no matter what trade you make we’ve seen just the cost go up for just role players and you know sixmen and stuff in this league so if you’re going to make a big trade like that make it for someone who’s going to be you know Cad’s Robin or just right like you know in the top three of this team on the roster you know swing for the fences if you’re going to you know step him to the box and take a hack at the plate don’t Don’t just try to hit a dribbler in the infield or settle for a bloop don’t mess with that you know yeah definitely t Foss what up though i I’m not a big fan of his but I’m itching we talked about it because something to happen see this i’m itching bro i’m ready for anything no dude when you’ve got people falling apart around you when you got a division that’s not that great I’m sorry i want I want to see you do something once again itching i I want to see something but Cam Johnson is probably not it not it hey Rod Beard what’s say before we get to what some of the fans sent in cam Johnson is definitely not it again if you’re going out and you’re gonna make a splash go bring me Jiren Jackson go get bring me 3J and then we can talk about it but if you’re gonna Satisf All right JB Smooth what’s up let’s get to a couple of what the chat family sent in uh I will let you be the person who just picks a few and I’ll have Rod and Terry will be the ones that Swisser Brick but obviously Flannel Sam uh myself JB and Kabas we can give our comments here if we where we see fit but I wanted to be able to pay a little bit of attention to what our chat family is sending in so you get to pick them read them off we’ll add some context and we’ll kick it over to our legends i think I got the first one right here uh shout out to KG because he would be happy with this one i think uh Duran is 21 or 22 and he keeps improving embiid is on fumes duran will run the east soon he’s a beast i included that one because there is a overwhelming amount of support for Jaylen Duran in the last two episodes people are like nah I don’t think that’s the one I really want to get rid of people believe that the East is prime for him to step up and be one of the top centers there hey Rodbeard I I start with you T F as well how you guys feeling about uh this outlook this approach Jaylen Duran and Untouchable in the future beast in the East untouchable it’s kind of like the like button you gota He He has to be touchable um I don’t I don’t think he’s untouchable he’ll be he’ll be good but not untouchable and and again if the right package comes along would you 3J or or Jaylen Durren let me ask those folks that way that’s playing dirty and I think most people I I I think most people would say 3J especially if you’re trying to accelerate and go into uh a championship mode right now they would say 3J so that’s the that’s the idea that you’re thinking there what false you know Rod I can’t believe you said Jaylen Durren untouchable hell no he’s not untouchable yeah and you’re right if you can get 3J or triple J or whatever you want to call him and there’s a little package boom go for it there’s only one untouchable that’s K Cunningham everybody else touched that’s not even an egg that’s not even an egg you did what are we doing you I know but you did go with Jaylen Honduran i’m I’m I’m trying to me I’m trying to be measured you know [ __ ] them do be rod beard you You should fear nobody somebody hit him with the switcher break real quick did we skip too due consideration and saying no all right i don’t want to hear anymore you taught me well you taught me You taught me well sir obviously I didn’t cuz you just went Jaylen Darren i failed damn i failed no no you know what i I’m not yelling at you that’s my fault that’s my fault i didn’t do enough you did this you made me this way no when you went I didn’t i’m hell no hell no there we go he’s still He’s still too nice hey Rod he’s He’s trying to He’s trying to help me too man so I get it j JB Smooth what’s up pick the next one bro make it good all right I got this one from Debbuck 2862 he said “Asar Thompson should be should be untouchable.” What the guy that cannot shoot mid-range cannot shoot three-point shots cannot shoot free throws assar would be first i look at Assar would be first i look at to trade block until he learns to shoot defense is good but you need to be able to do more than just put backs and cut to the rim assar has a lot more development required than Ivy and Duran Flannel okay I think he’s referring to me and for the record I didn’t say that Assar was untouchable i would say that to me he is more untouchable than like Ivy and Duran for example and I think you will see that when you really crunch the numbers and when you really look at the impact he also helped the offense with his cutting with his putbacks with his offensive rebounds and obviously he was just a terror he’s all defense loading so yes that’s why to me he is the most untouchable besides Cade but not wholly untouchable hey you know what what about you Rod Beard oh no that like that dude is very touchable like if you’re thinking about who you can trade in order to go and get somebody else Assar is definitely on that list you need to give up something again in order to get something back and Assar if you believe Ron Highland is on that same trajectory as that you have a duplication at that position one or both of those guys can go what up T Foss i got another itch but it’s a different itch i think this guy’s going to be really good in this league at some point untouchable hell no of course not but I just There we go i like the fact that he plays defense that he’s tall that he can you know he can develop uh a jump shot a lot of guys have come into this league without jump shots and they’ve turned into something you ever hear of a young man named Scotty Pippen and I’m not saying he’ll be Scotty Pippen but Aar Assar has some I say some skills that need to be to be developed and they can be i I want to take another look at this young man before I go get rid of him yeah I feel I I feel like amongst all of us he might be one of those what behind Cade you’re one or two that you’re probably not you’re going to be less eager to trade that that individual he’s my second behind Cade mine mine personally me too i keep feeling like that guy is stepping towards stardom and if you’re telling me if I do believe some of the three-point shooting stuff is blown out of proportion for a guy who can do as much as he can do but let’s get one more JB smooth i got a whole lot of these two cuz they’ve been hitting the comment section got over 100 comments on one of them man they went crazy so we’re going to continue to get to it thank you guys i’m telling you comment section of this episode of Wake Wbert when this airs on uh Wbert Pistons go on ahead and flood it with the comments we’re going to continue to uh feature you all let’s get one more and then uh we’ll wrap it uh did you want to do Dad from Tourette’s from the chat let’s do that one all right shout out to dad with Tourette’s i got you shout out to dad with Tourette’s uh I don’t want to make a huge trade i think it’s most likely a smaller trade like getting Norman Pal expiring or Cam Johnson but would you move Harris Holland Vonteo and one first for KD it would probably take more firsts than that it would definitely take more first uh based on the young players going out but um yeah yeah I would flannel Sam why’ you say it like that can you put that up i just I mean what are you supposed to do it’s I would Here’s my fear why is KD on so many damn teams you know there’s something there either his breath stank or he’s stealing from people is he throwing bowls of oatmeal at people like Kevin i But you have this I mean we’re talking about taking a chance though this is something that I feel like you have to do you’re you’re getting rid of what one regular rotation player in this scenario fonteo who I had some hopes for but he never material he never got back to the level he did through those first 17 games he played with K Cunningham and he looked good and promising but we’re talking about the Pistons being in this position of do they just kind of just meddle along well that’s how I believe you find yourself in the all dysfunction teams we see them meddle along and fall off we see the Hawks you know we we’ve talked about them even before you you found yourself down there as being one of those teams that just kind of meddle you know they talk about what they may or may not do but they never go and just punch the deal and if anything they’ve been more sellers than buyers during the Trey Young era they we’ve seen Collins and some players uh that they’ve gotten rid of from that team and that’s where part of me is like you gotta if you have the opportunity to press the button on a player like that don’t you do it even if he as big of a star as he is I just need him for one year just for one year for you so you’re not you don’t care about the people who are saying “But he’s only going to be here for a year he going to walk and if he is here we got to pay him $50 something million.” Hey and and let me quote myself from a few years ago then let the [ __ ] walk no I don’t care i I just need him for one or two years if you want to go go rob been here what up though we know how much Kevin Durant is is set to make next year 55 million million 55 who they think they getting chelsea Clinton no you are not you are not paying Kevin Durant 5 and giving up some some pieces to do it no and again this is the idea of you go out and you make a big splash and you got KD for one year you got to do something else in order to legitimize and make that work um you’re not adding a draft pick if if that’s your one big splashy move are you five games or 10 games better than last season that’s true if you make that and Terry Terry I need I I need to do that on this one um 55 million 55 mil is a number that is brother i don’t care if you’re five or 10 games better are you three or four playoff series better that’s all I care about oh that’s the question that’s with KD who was it again it was back up ponteio yeah yeah i I got you one more time so the trade would be uh Harris Holland Fonteo and one first for KD that’s not going to happen it’s going to be more first and more pieces thrown in if you’re going for it fine i don’t like it i don’t I don’t like it which is which is precisely why and I’m going to give Dad with Tourette’s the respect of this if he thinks that it could happen just going off of this trade absolutely I would take it because I think it would be a steal i don’t think that it’s going to get it done and I think Harris Tobias Harris that’s like salary filler you still have a SAR Duran Ivy Cade um Kevin Durant pretty formidable if you ask me that is pretty all right all right all right let me ask a question show of hands who in this room believes the Pistons are elite in the Eastern Conference right now right now can’t say that nobody nobody thinks that okay nobody thinks that because if you don’t does Kevin Durant make you make you elite though does Kevin Durant make you elite i think it makes you elitish oh elite golly that’s That’s not enough though that’s the question that’s because you’re taking a one-year swing and and saying with Durant we’re going for it and if it doesn’t work we have a a huge I mean are if it doesn’t work are you trading them at the deadline or are you just saying this comes off the books next year and we’ll ride with it as it is you you have a big hole and then again you’re back in the same spot where you can come back next year are they just looking at the piss like and are we now looking at a team with an albatross while we see other squads going and trying to shore things up the Magic made a move to try and make sure for the next two to four years they’re going to have this trio of Desmond Bang Paulo and Fron that’s formidable in this Eastern Conference and it is something that I do believe it should be on the Pistons radar so from those perspectives when you talking about that long-term outlook I 100% get why you might be hesitant to make certain moves even if it’s for a star player i could actually understand that so you guys got me distracted i’m really more interested in Triple J that’s the one man defensive player of the year he can score a little bit he’s tall they’ve been selling since before the playoffs didn’t we sit here and tell people I don’t care where Memphis is on the on this thing there is so much dysfunction there and then little by little coach is gone desmond Bane is gone now there’s rumors that what are they really going to do about John Morant they’re wondering about how they build around him in the future they’re wondering about what he is for them right now despite the level of player he is that’s straight up dysfunction and Triple J is just sitting there like “Uh what’s going on?” Just toss him on over here man give him some pistols we’ll see look at this treat him well 3J 3J is making 23 million next year last year of his deal and he’s 25 years old now if you come back and you want to pay him 50 I know a good $26 million we could match that salary with hey so so So if you tell me you’re if you tell me you’re going to get 3J and you put that package together for that and you’re going to pay him uh extend him and give him 45 million I’m on board with that i’m on board with that that makes a lot more sense than KD to me i would do that i We back We back on the Triple J would be the Tobias Ivy for first and whatever other end of our rotation guys i I get rid of every first round pick I got into now until 2048 whoa they’re not even born yet Terry 2048 kids aren’t born yet hey still going to get rid of them get rid of the babies that’s for real ft you traded the babies that’s the way it goes i’m curious if we could somehow get uh Jiren Jackson Jr in a trade and Tobias was a part of that deal if JB would maybe consider get a Tobias Harris Grizzlies jersey in honor in honor of making that happen this is Yeah this show’s so crazy we got to get that to happen and my man Terry Foster saying they’re going to be in a trade report before they have a birth certificate as well that’s crazy jb we might have to make that happen bro tobias is the reason why your Spartan dog gets to come back here home plays for the Pistons m you got to get a Tobias Heritage Grizzy’s jersey just to pay uh some homage i’ll consider it i got five on that i got five on that look you know what man this has been uh this has been an epic one man the Chad family is they’ve been invested they cannot propose a Mike Dicka what what up dog how about uh Triple J for everybody on the Pistons roster except Kate Cunningham and then here we go these will just go to the G League here we go no and put on a wedding dress too while you’re doing it here we go my man Toss how How comfortable is that chair oh this is a great chair man and they got drugs in here too that’s why I’m just talking this bulla that’s a That’s a throne that’s not a chair that’s a throne it is dude I feel like that’s like the You know you feel like the emperor in in in Star Wars like you can control the Death Star from that thing no I feel like I’m in the flight to Mars tomorrow there you go straight up shout out dog this so crazy saying Ton and Rob beard on the same screen man but shout out the place where dreams do come true worth sports right and Ryan Glinsky intern Ryan hey you know what i see you in the chat he says “Get Danny Wolf.” That would fit supposedly what the Pistons are looking for but I don’t think that they’re going to do anything to mess up that draft capital until they know that they’re not going after a trade or restricted free agent but Danny Wolf to trade back into the first round we’ve seen it take as low as four first round picks the Pistons actually they’ve done that they’ve been on both sides of this thing traded out of the first round by accepting four second round picks they traded back into the first round by giving up a couple first uh second round picks so it’ll be interesting to see where Danny will falls because he does fit that seven foot floor spacing versatile big that everybody in the league is looking for but the Pistons have been one of the teams that they say they are there’s a certain local team There’s a certain local team that has the number 22 pick that um I mean maybe you know what man i I the Pistons have the ability with their second round picks to get busy in the draft with their first round picks to get busy in RFA they have the opportunity to go and ex absolutely accelerate this thing and throw dynamite on it but I am comfortable if Treasure Langden decides that next year is the year that they’re going to do that so I kind of want to see him do it this year who doesn’t want to see the fireworks now fourth of July is right around the corner but shout out to the legend Rod Beard for giving us his time senior sports 1. Did y’all forget about Cleveland and don’t get it twisted the 76er’s will be better next year. I see the Pistons battling for 6th if they do not make a move.

  2. Does Terry Foster have something terminal? I ask because he's dead set on blowing up the first team that's been relevant in years before they've had any real time to prove themselves. Why is it not okay to only make smaller moves right now? With Ivey and Stew healthy, we beat the Knicks, maybe the Celtics too. Why blow that up just to do it? Obviously if you can find the right deal, you make the trade, but with Cade here, that's a 10-12 year window, there's absolutely no reason to destroy that window because "the East is wide open." So what? Let these guys develop. If you change nothing, you're telling me that Cade, Ivey, Ausar, Duren, and Holland won't improve enough to make a difference? That's bs, even if it's not this year, everyone of those guys is going to make a decent leap, time will tell how big that leap is.

The questions that we have about the current roster are the half court offensive fit with Ausar and Duren, that's what kept Ausar out of the end of the playoff games, and a long term stretch 4 because Tobias is going to be 33 this year. The rest of the positions can be filled some way or another, benches are important, but easier to obtain. There's situations that make it easier, like Klintman growing into a rotational player and things like that, but my biggest concern is the starting 5, and overall the talent is there, it's just a matter of fit and age with Tobias. If Ausar and Duren can fit together, you don't have to move any of the young core in order to win a chip, we have the pieces. Just needs a little watering so that it can grow properly.
