Mark Walter is entering agreement to purchase majority ownership of the Lakers from the Buss family for a valuation of approximately $10 billion, the largest sale of a professional sports franchise in the world, sources tell ESPN.

  4. Damn nothing will top this sale unless the Yankees or Cowboys go for sale. Lakers are the premier franchise of the NBA. God damn as a Lakers fan I am so fucking pumped. I was so sick of Jeanie and her “inner circle” making basketball decisions. It’s time to get a real FO and get a real team running the show. It’s not about the spending since in a Salary cap league it doesn’t matter but getting the right people in charge and creating an elite winning environment is what’s so exciting.
