Baines nearly picked off a pass from Cochinan Now Aspen revers it in the corner Carlson going after it against Havora and Carlson frees it up for Baines Puck is rolling and knocked down by Carlson Quick shot is blocked and it goes on the tape of Skoo who calmly clears it out to center Leer Mackey looking to get on the ice It’s Jet Woo now leading the rush on the left wing Backhander hit the crossbar Jet Woo thinks it was in but hit the post Almost five minutes in as Sammy play and Lock would collide and Blake got the worst of that and he is down and needs a whistle and now Jet Woo comes in to have a chat with sort of as Blake gets up off the ice and will head to the bench to get evaluated It looks like Blake goes to throw the hit on Lockwood Lockwood throws a very nice reverse hit and drops him where the issue that Woo’s having with Sardiff is the fact that he came and stood over him and tried to you know kind of have a little bit of intimidation and and try and get inside of Blaze Head who’s been a physical force not only on the score sheet but on the physicality hitting side as well Woo steps in to protect his his teammate Center ice face Just under five minutes played here and a very entertaining start to this game Checkers still have it off a turnover Havora rightwing point over to Kerstead is blast They score Oliver Okou in front with the tip and the Checkers take a one- nothing lead here in game three 1138 left to go here in the first Matt Kerstead with the blast from the point Oliver Okou right in front of Archer Sheilobs She loves trying to say maybe goalender interference or maybe high stick but it didn’t look high as that one was tipped and the Checkers strike first for the second game in a row here in this finals He’ll chip it behind the net Havora on his backhand trying to get away from DJeppy and it’s held into the corner Nice pressure there by Mueller and DJeppy Now played in front for Mueller Shot stopped by Cockin and he covers the loose puck in the crease Nice job by that trio to work hard to create a turnover and Cochin had to be sharp And DJ Sepe doing what he does so well in the offensive zone again He’s able to use his strength his ability to open up space for himself Pushes the Charlotte player off the puck finds Mueller in front who gets two opportunities at it but can’t beat Cockinan but another great job by Geppie trying to find Ant whistle as Kira threw a check and now a high stick coming to Herros as he whacked Ant whistle in the face in the first power play game three is going to go to Charlotte how many high sticking calls have we seen landed in this series with a quick exit out the zone and he’ll pick up speed down the left wing against Havorca drives wide Mancini’s around him cutting with a shot glove save cocking Rebound Mancini puts it off a stick Now Bane’s left corner to the point Breeze ball is wide open Passes to Mancini Top of the circle Wrist shot and Cockin didn’t see it It hits something and bounced to the corner and the checkers play it to the line Smith across the blue line Weaves his way in and he lost control as he tried to pass it to Cara And the Checkers played up the wing Smith hustles back in play Hammers his man down to the ice Aspen goes down and the crowd back on their feet Couple of big hits for Sammy on the shift Casana under pressure had to be careful and it’s stolen by Leer Mackey who finds DJ Sepi but he’s going to not catch up to the puck If it was about 5 minutes into this period it might have stopped Now Leer Mackey with a steal in the right corner He’s having a good game so far folks Carratzv leads the playoffs in plus minus with a plus 12 rating as Cara throws a hit Mancini holds the point Finds Cara down low and he fends off two checks The checkers got the worst of that It was Aler who went down Just under three minutes played They just showed the highlight of the sort of hit that was going to finish behind his own net trying to finish on Cara Ends up going shoulderto-shoulder with Aler and absolutely drops him Now Wannon hustles back in front of Sort of plays it up the wall for Carlson Carlson to Baines and he blows the tire and there’s a twoon down low Lockwood shoots stopped by Sheil He let it go quickly He didn’t know he had sort of with him I don’t think Canucks catch a break as Baines caught an edge He gets it back left corner BL across ice to Sassin He’ll take it off the boards and look to set it up under pressure Plays it to Baines Checkers see a couple backs turn Nearly had it now all alone in front deeps and he scores [Applause] Who else but Sammy play His fifth point of the series Backhand forehand shelf and game three is tied Abbottzford doing an unbelievable job of let’s say entered the zone The puck had bounced away from him a couple times Baines not giving up on the play Is able to tie up the defender All of a sudden Carlson’s there to pick up the puck Spots Blade driving back door by himself Makes a beautiful backhand feed He fakes to his backhand or to his forehead Breaks it back Roofs it on Cockadan 1-1 1317 left Abby power play goal Pulls it down low for Aspen It went off his stick and finds Jet Woo He’ll chip it to the corner Aspen’s there for Charlotte behind the net for Beo Beo in front Pulary Shot Denied by Sheilovs and gloves it down Plays it ahead for Sass and left wing He’ll chip it in around Casana He goes down Fans want to call not going to get one Now the checkers bring it to the neutral zone Here’s Sort of working on Harros One-on-one Herros throws him down Sassin helping out defensively Pucks underneath some bodies A threeon two battle in favor of the Canucks as Sassin goes down Sort of lost his helmet and he’s got to go off That’s going to be a penalty And it is And both are going to go Sort of and Sassin through center Going to stick handle his way in the Abbottzford zone Benning has lock Throws it behind the goal line She loves lost it Pucks loose in the crease and missing the chance in front was Okoular who was a tad late Sheila’s lunged after and missed the puck completely Kuck 740 to go Second period Neielson out the bench throws a big hit Checkers got it to center though Parvey sharp angle Py to Benning Couldn’t take it off his stick and Benning able to hold it in but Herros steals Here he comes the other way all by himself Oneon- two Harros realizes he’s alone Cockin fights it off now Mueller towards the crease and it’s covered by and it with 653 to go and Nelson pushing and shoving and whistles in there So is Kimovic and Benning Those two exchange pleasantries We’ll see if the officials make any calls here Still 1-1 And now we got a tussle in the crease involving a couple players And getting up for Abbottzford is who else but Sammy Bl The refs were pointing it at someone I think they’re taking both I’m not sure right now though as it’s still a bit chaotic down there The back to Benning Long range shot out front Saved by Sheilops chipped just wide Here goes Max Sassinid as he speeds his way up One-on-one with Carrick Sassinid gets a shot off Goes well wide Bannon on the loose puck He lofts that one high in the air Bounces at Throws it in front and Cockin and gloves it down on the faceoff this time will be in the checker zone as Neielson and Benning have a quick chat and waters an end whistle tie up as well and another another thing where Cochan plays the puck behind the net goes to shoot it around but they seal the boards comes to the point for Kierstead Kirstad shot missed the net rebound in front and she’s makes a save in tight and Sass jumps on the loose puck and here come the Canucks Sass on the left wing cuts across the blue line hands off for Carlson Just over a minute to go in the second period Takes his time Waters gives him a shove Aspen gets the puck though out of the right side Feeds it to the left corner for Leonard Nice job by Wanna to poke it off his stick momentarily Now Aler rips it back down low Skoo back ends in front for Leonard His shot Can’t beat She loves pucks high in the air and She loves gloves it down like a good center fielder Nice job sticking with it Looking up in the air and it lands in his glove Sheil loves the only person on the ice that knew where that puck was He makes the initial save off the blocker right arm area It goes right up in the air Everyone’s trying to find it but Sheil loves looked calm in his net looking straight up and then has to reach out to grab it Holds on to the puck for a face off to the blocker side 1638 left in the third 1-1 Sticking ends and Sassin goes back door to Carlson and the Conucks have their first lead of game three Both goals tonight start with Baines not shying away from a battle He ends up getting hit from behind He’s sitting on his butt It’s puck pops to his left He makes the play from his rear to Sassinid who makes a beautiful move to his backhand Slips it through the crease to Carlson Standing on the back door Here’s Aspen towards the net as she’s poked it away And now the net’s knocked off behind him And now a scrum going to ensue it looks like as Scoo is grabbed down by Wannon And now nine of the 10 skaters involved make it eight out of the 10 as Scoo loses his helmet John Leonard without his bucket as well I don’t know what it is about these Charlotte helmets but every game there’s been a minimum of four times the helmets have come off Battling Aler Cara broke a stick so he goes to the bench for a new queue Now Bla finds a wide open Herros who shoots one on goal and and he makes a save came out top of his crease to get in front of it Now Aler tying up Nate Smith game each squad has 23 a piece Sasson wins the draw Carlson to Baines left point for Wan He’ll set it up Wan to Bllay Look at the pressure already by the checkers Now Carlson right back to Bl left point Carlson once more to the point from Aladdin Settles it down and finds Bane’s right circle Baines back door to Carlson He scores It’s going to be Baines [Applause] A three-point game for Ard Baines He was looking to pass to Carlson It hit a stick and ends up in the back of the net And this place goes insane When you face a penalty kill that’s as aggressive as Checkers are the way to break it is clean crisp hard passing They moved it all the way around the zone They touch all four corners and ends up on Bane stick on the glove side faceoff dot He tries to get it to Carlson Hits a stick and goes in Baines is rewarded 31 Abbottzford takes the takes the extended lead 18 towards Sheila and he’ll get it to center for DPI He’s got Leer Macki twoon one at the hurry Dppy shoots scores [Applause] PDG 4-1 Abbottzford What an unbelievable rush up the ice It starts with Sheilovs shooting it up I believe that’ll be his second assists of the playoff so far DJI picks it up between his legs He starts looking to Leer Mack who’s with him on the twoonone Decides you know what This one’s all me Throws it just under the bar high on the blocker side 41 641 left in the third He’s been wheeling tonight Now we got a penalty away from the play It’s going to be a slash to the Canucks now Heros and Steves having a conversation So a huge opportunity for Charlotte going to get their third man advantage of the night as Herosce is a little confused as to why he’s going off Interference is going to be the call not slashing And now Nate Smith getting into with Ant whistle And the officials trying to do their best to get these teams away from each other And looks like they’ll be able to do so And now some pushing and shoving continues between Ed Whistle and Smith And they might both get 10 minimum misconducts End whistle for sure While Smith is going down the tunnel as well There’s a good chance that there’s going to be about 12 guys left on both benches by the end of the six minutes to be played here as the refs have no time to be putting up with any of the extracurriculars right now as Sammy Blaze starting to jaw it sort of once again Those two have found each other all over the ice in all three games of the series so far I’m starting a petition to put Abbottzford and Charlotte in the same division next year Do you think that’ll pass Sort of left circle walk again back to Aspen in front for a shot Sheil loves a save No rebound again Now some pushing and shoving happening once more Sheils gets away from the danger And now another helmet falls off from Leonard He wasn’t even in the pile I’m not sure how that one popped off And there’s another one on the other side of the net Do they wear their helmets two sizes too big That must be the case You called that in the intermission off the air It’s crazy how often their lids are falling off Charlotte checkers apparently a big fan of Top Gun Maverick with the ejector seat on their helmets in this series Comes to Carlson’s wing He’s tied up quickly Falls Gets back up Still tries to win the battle Carlson chips it to the line It comes to Baines Shoots to the empty net He scores [Applause] Have a night Steve Baines Two goals two assists and he just put away game number three Baines has been so good It makes it even better that he starts this playoffs He goes 16 games with no goals Then out of nowhere he gets himself up to five just absolutely shows up in the Calder Cup finals It started in the clinching game six against Texas He’s been one of the best players That line has just been on fire 51 on the best road team in the playoffs We’re about to lose their first away from home And now a steal by Neielson He’s on a breakaway all of a sudden Neielson digs and he scores Why not Oh backhand five hole Stay on your feet Conucks fans Tristan Nielsen how are you What a move 6-1 Neielson inter intercepts the puck Does the Crosby leg kick
